Hotels Near Pudong Nanhui Dongtan Wetlands in Shanghai

We chose this hotel for our weekend getaway to Dishui Lake. We booked three rooms, including one with a lake view. The lake view room allowed us to watch the fireworks show and the sunrise directly from our room. The Saturday night fireworks were excellent; some family members watched from their rooms, while others went to the third-floor viewing platform. Choosing a hotel by Dishui Lake was primarily for the ease of seeing the fireworks and sunrise. The spacious third-floor viewing platform also offered views of the fireworks, sunrise, and the lake. The room amenities were good, and the corridors were spacious with comfortable seating areas. The hotel service was very good. The hotel lobby is on the seventh floor, offering great lake views there as well (see the last 3 photos).

It is a good choice to travel during off-peak hours and take the children out for a vacation. Some of the surrounding venues are also suitable for taking children to visit. There is also a free shuttle bus to Haichang Park, with thoughtful service. From the front desk to the guest rooms, the hotel is full of penguin themes and the atmosphere is perfect. You can also see real penguins, which children like very much. The room is clean and hygienic. Although the weather was cold, the staff was still full of enthusiasm. When checking in, they provided detailed suggestions for travel and some nearby venues. I give a thumbs up to the hotel staff!

We booked this hotel because it was new, had a very cute penguin theme, and was conveniently located near Haichang Ocean Park. The check in service was quick and smooth. The rooms are large and comfortable. The children’s gift in the room was a very nice surprise! Our children also loved the children’s playground in the hotel lobby and the penguins in the lobby. When our friends encountered a problem with an unruly, aggressive guest, the hotel manager went above and beyond to support us and help us solve the problem. He definitely deserves a lot of praise for his kindness and professional manner! He reviewed the CCTV carefully, communicated the findings to my friends, and supported them in resolving the problem. His customer service was top notch! While the weekend was busy and there were many other guests, all of whom had young kids, the service was excellent. The hotel offered a frequent free shuttle bus to Ocean Park. The breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of choice (go early to avoid waiting in lines). We went for breakfast at 8 AM and were quickly seated. Guests who arrived at 8:30 AM had to wait for a table. There are not many dinner options available nearby, and food delivery takes a while. It is also a bit difficult getting a taxi at the hotel, as the location is a bit remote. Overall though, we enjoyed our stay and it was a fun experience!
