"This review is for accomodation at BASE SHIRAOI at 199-327 Kitayoshihara, Shiraoi, Shiraoi District, Hokkaido 059-0923, Japan.
We were told to change to BASE SHIRAOI on the day of checking in due to paint smell at Manyi's Onsen House.
BASE SHIRAOI has everything we need. There are soy sauce, coffee beans, and wasabi, The host has even prepared child toilet seat and sanitary pads! LOL.
The unit is air-conditioned. We still used it though it was around 18 degrees during the night because we didn't want to open the windows.
Washing machine and dryer.
The unit has a dinning table and a big coffee table. A table outside the house good for BBQ.
You can dry your clothes at the entrance area, designed to hang big winter clothes.
The only issue is the private onsen and shower area that is not so private. The neighbor could potentially see you in your best naked shape through the transparent glass roof. We covered the glass window in the shower area with the styrofoam covers for the onsen. LOL.
Convenient stores are about 3 minutes.
Overall stay is enjoyable as the unit is big enough for 10 people. Quiet environment. Enough space to park few cars outside the house."

XXinburuJoWhen you come out of Noboribetsu Station, there is a small parking lot opposite, and there will be free minibus pick-up.
After arriving at the store, she took the initiative to help with the luggage, there were welcome refreshments, and introduced the hotel. The girl's English was not very good, but she worked very hard.
It can be seen that it is a little old, but it is operated very carefully. There is also a telescope in the room, which is convenient for stargazing. The room I booked does not have a bathroom, but it doesn't matter if there is a hot spring. Basically, all the supplies are available, even sanitary napkins. The hair dryer has a special shape, but it is too noisy.
The public hot spring is good, and there is a place where you can lie down and watch the sea foam. The private hot spring is not recommended, there is no scenery.
There are free desserts in the afternoon, juice in the morning, 24-hour tea and coffee, and ice cream and fruit after the hot spring in the evening. It can be seen that they are attentive. The dinner is very rich, and they also work hard on the shape, but the taste is very average, and it is full. There are no shops around, so if you are afraid of being hungry at night, just eat more 😂
The service is very polite, and there is also a big dog in the store, which is very cute with a bold body and a small heart.
The overall atmosphere of the hotel is very comfortable. I think it is suitable for doing nothing. It would be perfect if the food taste could be improved.

GGuest UserIt's pretty no matter where you take pictures. The Semotang hot spring water is also really good, and there are few people in the hotel and few Koreans, so I was able to rest peacefully. The staff are young and can speak English and simple Korean, and they are very kind. One thing that is disappointing is that the dinner/breakfast did not suit our family's taste. It's a shame that we couldn't eat properly because it was expensive.

I was so satisfied that I wanted to stay in Shiraoi for a long time!
The accommodation price was also very reasonable, and it was close to the station,
and it was easy to get there even if I rented it!!
The room size was just right for 2 adults!!!
The shower room and toilet were shared,
but even that was not inconvenient to use.

TTheresamomoThe hotel rooms are spacious, the place is clean, and the facilities are complete. There are indoor and outdoor facilities and massage hot springs. The restaurant in the hotel is open until 9 o'clock. The food is reasonably priced and of good quality. The only thing is that it is noisy when the train passes by outside the room, but overall it is a good hotel!

IIanIt's an old onsen hotel refurbished. Renovation is classic, in 1980s style. Overall clean and tidy. Note there is no shower in room, only toilet and wash basin. You need to go to ground floor public bath for shower and onsen. There isn't many options in Shiraoi town for accommodation. (Understand there's smaller Airbnb type of places available but mostly in japanese language for booking) Probably this is a more generic hotel available.
