Hotels in Orchard Road, Singapore

The hotel is generally average — it provides the bare essentials for a short stay. However, the cleanliness was unacceptable. I found a used bottle in the bathroom, which made it clear the room hadn’t been properly cleaned after the previous guest. That alone really affected my impression. On top of that, the air-conditioning was barely working — it was so warm in the room that I couldn’t sleep well. There was also no phone in the room to contact the front desk or request any assistance, which was inconvenient. The check-in process was quite slow as well. It’s not the worst place to stay, but the lack of cleanliness and poor air-conditioning made it hard to feel comfortable.

The operator here is Mission Control. I called the Mission Control a few times on different hours of the day and nobody picked up the phone. I checked several times to make sure that I am dialling the right number in the directory. At the end, I just called the main line, and get to speak to someone via transfers. On the day of check out, I told the front counter staff and she said because they were busy. On the night that I was there, at around 2+ am the building alarm rang for some time. Then there was announcement of people checking what happened, then announcement of false alarm. Gosh, there goes my night. I woke up and thought about quickly packing . The room is very small. Standard room is just good for one person. The only good thing about the hotel is the location. There is a bus 36 in front that goes directly to the airport

The staff of Concorde was polite and friendly. Being an old hotel, the design of the carpet does not belong in 2025. Some staining on the sofa. The room size is spacious with bunk beds and access to the balcony. Nicely located in between Plaza Singapura and Orchard Central.

Had a great staycation to celebrate Father’s Day. Very convenient location, in the heart of Orchard Road, just above the Somerset MRT station. The room is just nice. The bed is very comfortable but the pillows are slightly too soft. Love the infinity swimming pool. The breakfast spread also ok. Special shoutout to Mr Sathia at the reception counter for the great service he provided to us during check in time.

We stayed at Hotel Grand Central Singapore for 2 nights and had a generally pleasant experience. The location is fantastic — right in the heart of Orchard Road, with easy access to MRT stations, shopping malls, and plenty of dining options nearby. It’s a great base for exploring the city. The room was clean and functional, with all the basic amenities you'd expect, including a mini-fridge, safe, and complimentary state-of-the-art water dispenser (hot &cold). The 2 beds were comfortable and they're fitting for an average size room which is quite typical for Singapore hotels in this price range. Wi-Fi was stable and reasonably fast throughout my stay. Staff were courteous and check-in/check-out was smooth. There’s a rooftop pool and gym, which are nice additions, though we didn’t get to use them much. Overall, Hotel Grand Central offers good value for money if you're looking for a well-located, no-frills stay in Singapore.

Location wise,the accommodation is 5mins walk to Somerset Station. Grocery and Malls are just behind the hotel. If you are in a budget trip,its a perfect place to stay. The only disadvantage is no private bathroom in the accommodation,all are shared bathroom. Separate bathroom for men and women. I think the place is newly renovated. Thanks.

Hotel Review – Hilton Orchard We booked 2 rooms for a family staycation at Hilton Orchard. The hotel’s location is excellent, with convenient access to shopping, restaurants, and public transport—ideal for a city getaway. The rooms were nicely decorated, clean, and modern, which made our stay very comfortable. We also appreciated the complimentary birthday cake—a thoughtful touch that was not only beautifully presented but also delicious. It added a special touch to our celebration. However, the reception experience was underwhelming. The front desk staff were not particularly warm or welcoming, which was disappointing given the Hilton brand’s usual service standards. There's definitely room for improvement in hospitality and guest interaction, especially during check-in. In summary, while the location and room experience were great, we hope to see better service at the reception on our next visit to make the stay feel truly five-star.

Hotel location is walkable to paragon and far east plaza. Food selection is plenty. But room should seriously consider changing their bath towel which is with running thread. Was surprise to see such quality.  Considering it’s not a budget hotel. Staff lack the smile on their faces. A nice gesture of bday goodies was given. Appreciated on upgrade to premium room.

We arrived early around 2:45pm and the nice lady at the reception accomodated us nicely however the room wasn't ready so we had been given the keycard holder and told us to comeback at 3pm to collect the key as for sure the room will be ready at that time coz she expidited the preparation. We grab lunch around the area and cameback at 3:12pm and the horrible service started. The guy receptionist informed us to wait for 5 mins for he needs to check the room of its ready, we waited for more than 10 mins. Only to be told the room assigned has airconditooning problem so he had to change other rooms. Finally we got our keys and went up. Booked a superior room but the room I was given did not look anything like what I had originally paid for — no bathtub as advertised and the space was small. I came downn to the receptionist and was told that it was a free upgrade which they did not inform us earlier. So Insisted to have a room with bath tub and we had to go up and down to choose the room.(bathtub was rusty so wnd ip not using it). Another horrible thing is the operator. I called to order water bottle as they dont provide water btl anymore as other hotels still do, but the water did not arrived, I waited for an hour and I have to go out again to find staff that can help me get water. There was no bathrub in the room so I called again the operator to request coz I needed it to go to the swimming pool, tried 3 times before someone answered and again I waited very long for the bathrub to arrived. The staff did not the inform us that the room we had chosen is right next to the construction area just right outside our window which we only found out early morning around 7am with all the noise outside. During check out I feedback the noise to the manger but instead of getting apology the manager even told us that we should have known about the noise as it is stated on the website. Honestly I did not know because I book through trip.com. which it wasnt stated, however atleast they should have inform us and should have chosen the first room they have assigned. Our staycation turned out horror and instead of getting relaxed we only got stressed. Worst service ever, worst manager handling feedbacks and complains.

had a wonderful experience staying at York Hotel! The location is excellent—just a short walk to Orchard Road, making it easy to access shopping malls, restaurants, and the MRT. Despite being so central, the hotel feels quiet and peaceful, tucked away in a serene corner of the city. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. I especially appreciated the large bed and the soft linens. The staff were also very friendly and professional, always ready to assist with a smile. Breakfast was satisfying with a good variety of local and international options. I also liked the convenience of having a 7-Eleven just across the street. Overall, York Hotel offers great value for money in a prime location. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Singapore.
