The Devonshire Fell is one of our favourite hotels and Burnsall one of our favourite villages in the whole world so it was a pleasure to stay once again in the hotel many years after I had booked the whole place for a big birthday. The warmth of the welcome and the friendliness of the staff, especially Nikki, was exceptional. The evening meal and next day’s breakfast were very enjoyable, the bedroom spacious and comfortable and it was lovely to spend some time relaxing in front of a real fire before our dinner. We wish every stay in a hotel was as pleasant as this one was! Full marks to Nikki and her team and we look forward to staying at the Fell again as soon as possible.

Went for Sunday lunch with family. We have eaten here before on another day of the week and it was excellent with lovely food and very friendly and helpful staff. However, when we visited recently the food for 3 out of the 4 of us was definitely below par. They had run out of mashed potatoes so the Sausages and Mash consisted of a couple of sausages, 3 roast potatoes and some gravy - rather poor show for £19!! The chocolate brownie was by far the worst dessert I’ve ever had - with a jelly-like consistency and very bland. Needless to say, we won’t be visiting again, which is a shame as it is in the most beautiful location

Beautiful bedroom with amazing view. Very comfortable bed and pillows and clean modern bathroom. The food was absolutely gorgeous and the staff are friendly and extremely helpful and professional. Lots of lovely places to visit close by. Really wonderful

We went for an afternoon tea. The Gentleman on reception was very friendly and attentive. He showed us too our table , served the coffee/tea then brought our afternoon delights. Which were delicious. We were given plenty of time to relax and enjoy our food. Beautiful views. There was plenty of delicious delights. We even had to ask for a box to bring some home . Thank you for a lovely experience .

From our arrival at the hotel till leaving we were very impressed. Attila, Viv and all of the staff we met were polite, courteous and extremely helpful. The room was pleasant and had all we could wish for (including a bath which was lovely after an 9 mile walk!) and a very comfortable king size bed. We had dinner in the restaurant and we were not disappointed: my wife’s starter of smoked salmon and fresh crab salad followed stone bass with scampi was marvellous. My oxtail ravioli and duo of mutton was amazing. We left after a wonderful breakfast to walk around Bolton Abbey ( the hotel provides a car park entrance card worth £15) Overall a lovely break in a wonderful “boutique” hotel. We will definitely return.

Right from the off this hotel was outstanding. The location was breathtaking. Our room was superb. The reception staff we amazing. Warm, inviting hotel with a touch of class. Breakfast was perfect before our hike. We booked dinner and was not disappointed. More nice staff. Food was lovely. Wine was quality. Bed was large and comfy. Huge picture window. We had a lovely 2 days. Just the winter tonic we needed. Thank you to all.

My fiancé, In-laws to be and I went to the Devonshire fell for lunch and a wedding viewing. The gentleman who showed us around (I believe his name is Mateo?) Was lovely and friendly, he was very knowledgeable and welcoming. We had delicious sandwiches and lovely coffees. Would highly recommend.

A really nice hotel in a really nice area. Staff were great and very accommodating. Breakfast also great which is always a bonus. Room was nice. 1 point would be to have coffee sachets as not everyone knows how to use a Nespresso which means you’re unable to have a coffee in the room

Lovely boutique hotel set in a very remote and peaceful location Decor absolutely beautiful The hotel team were very helpful and made lots of suggestions on where to go and what to do locally Definitely would return and recommend to future guest
