Stayed here over Easter in one of the bungalows which had everything we needed. The whole place is so peaceful and in a lovely setting yet only a short walk downhill into Sorrento. Antoinette on reception was great, she arranged some trips for us. We paid for continental breakfast each morning which was well worth the 8 euros each. the pool area is nice with a little bar but the pool was freezing! Had a brilliant time, Sorrento is beautiful and we would definitely stay at Villagio Verde again.

Firstly I read the reviews from trip advisor before I booked holiday so I knew what to expect , One our arrival we met Antonetta this is a family run business they work so hard to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as they can , She could not have been more welcoming, It was my Wife’s birthday on arrival, we had a bottle of Prosecco from hotel put in our fridge which was a very nice touch, we stayed in a self catering bungalow 2 hobs a toaster and a kettle , we always like the choice of self catering everything there ticked the box , great restaurants down the road if you want not to cook . We had the best nights sleep no noise from hotel , pool area great bar nice food at lunch time on offer and the service from all staff engaging and friendly . The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the square where all restaurants and bars are , 2 supermarkets are 5 minutes down the hill . You have two have yours wits about you no pavements and busy traffic , but as long be mindful of this you get used to the way of Italian life , going back to the hill I’m 52 and pretty fit so actually enjoyed the exercise walking up the hill 3 times daily in to town then back again . But if you struggle with your fitness this hotel will not suit you , Reading some of the negative reviews about this hotel , Personally I would Judge for yourself because we had a fantastic friendly experience to the extent we hopefully will go again next year , we loved Sorrento we loved villagio Verde , The friendliness and lovely accommodation, was Spot on for us . Thankyou Villagio Verde for a fantastic holiday.

We’ve just spent a week here and from the start with our greeting from Antoinetta to the the end was great. It’s not a typical hotel as such, as you arrive there’s a reception lodge and then a beautiful orange and lemon lined path with wooden lodges hidden amongst the trees on one side, further down you come to the breakfast room and then then the main building consisting of seven rooms on one level and the the pool area with bar. Our room was in the main building it was reasonably large and immaculately clean, it may to some have looked a bit dated but everything was serviceable with a Tv and mini fridge.Continental breakfast was served between 7 & 10 with a good selection on offer the cakes are home made from the fruit In the grounds and are amazing. As it’s still low season the bar and pool was only open between 10 & 6 which was enough for us, there are a few rules regarding washing feet and a small day charge for loungers with cushions & towels again not a problem for us. The pool is a reasonable size but not heated so it makes for a bracing entrance. Daniella who runs the bar area is great and very friendly even helping with our Italian, the bar serves a good selection of drinks at a reasonable price and there’s a nice selection of bar meals served between 12 & 2 again well priced and the omelette we had was very good. The hotel is family owned and very well run and most of the staff seemed related to each other in some way, all very pleasant and always said hello. The grounds were also very well kept and clean. Overall a great place to stop and only a 10 minute walk down a reasonable hill to Piazzo Tasso, it’s far enough away to be tranquil and give you a break from the noise and bustle that is Sorrento. On a slightly separate note our room safe broke locking in all our money they leant us a €100 for us to go out while they waited for the locksmith to show up on our return we were shown the full video of him breaking into the safe to show nothing was touched. Wow only when things go wrong can you get a true measure of a place, they surpassed themselves in this instance. So go, stop, relax and enjoy yourself In this great family run hotel. We were treated very well and would certainly go back again as quite a few guests seem to have done. 10/10

This hotel’s finest attribute is by far the staff, absolutely 5*. Friendly, welcoming & extremely helpful. They went ABSOLUTELY above & beyond to locate my partner’s phone when he dropped it in a taxi. The reception staff are very knowledgeable about the day trips on offer & their advice about the Capri boat trip was excellent, one of our favourite days. The hotel itself is nestled in a lovely location but not brilliantly accessible. The walk up the hill isn’t easy, especially with traffic. The rooms are clean, comfortable and have everything you need. WIFI is available but not in the room. The view from the pool is stunning. The breakfast is lovely, even my ‘full English’ loving partner enjoyed the continental offering. Just as a tip for travellers to the location, the city and it’s surrounding attractions are EXTREMELY busy so be prepared for traffic & queues (we went out of season). We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in one of the self catering bungalows it was clean & the beds were very comfortable. The surroundings are very peaceful amongst Orange,Lemon & Olive trees. The pool is great for adults & kids & it has a very nice bar area. The staff are very friendly and welcoming & nothing is too much trouble. The only downside is the steep hill that leads into Sorrento town centre it's fine going down but sure makes you puff going back up. All in all though we would definitely stay here again.

The Accommodation is Basic and you would struggle to cook if you were planning to. I had no plans to cook as there is so many places to go in Sorrento. The beds were comfortable and the air con worked well although noisy,The shower although again basic was very good. What makes Villaggio Verde special is it is in a beautiful setting surrounded by lemon and orange trees and peacefully quiet and relaxing. The other thing that makes this place unique is the people, we couldn’t fault the people who worked there, they were so friendly and welcoming and helpful !! Antonietta and Roberta especially ❤️ but everyone was so friendly. The pool is small but set in such a beautiful place, I didn’t use myself but my husband and children did as was a bit cool for me, I could imagine it would be busy in warmer months. Villaggio Verde is set uphill and could be challenging to someone who has mobility issues. We had no problem with getting into the main square and only took about 5 minutes downhill and about 8-10 minutes uphill but we are active with 2 teenagers, be aware that there is no path as such and that the road can be very busy with Italian driving!! There are Plenty of places within a short walk to eat and would highly recommend Trattoria Torna a Surriento the food is fantastic and extremely reasonable but if you are looking for somewhere quiet then this is not the place, if you want fun and friendly then definitely go there. Also Monica’s cafe /Bakery about halfway down the hill is great for coffee and pastries and again extremely good and very affordable and friendly. We had an amazing holiday here and will definitely be back in the future.

What a lovely little hotel. My husband & I went for a few days. Within minutes of our arrival the staff knew it was my birthday & there was a bottle of sparkling wine waiting for us by the bar. A continental breakfast was included in our package & it was just right to set us up for an early start. It's the wonderful friendly staff that make this hotel so lovely. We hope to return & spend longer in one of the cabins next time. There's a small pool which is perfect if you want to unwind from a long day of walking & and sightseeing. it's perfectly situated too only 10 mins into town but remember there's steep hill on the way back. But you'll get used to it. Thank you once again & see you soon Ind & Paul

Spent 3 nights here visiting sorrento. Staff encountered were very helpful and friendly, room was classed as a bungalow tho not quite sure why, it was more like a basic studio room but comfortable but had a wardrobe and a safe. The shower screens in the bathroom could do with an update as they seemed to be very old. We didn’t get time to visit the pool area with being out exploring all day and the walk back up the hill felt like to much effort to go back up before going for a meal after a long day. Overall it was a pleasant stay as we just used it as somewhere to sleep at night

We spent 3 nights here and had a wonderful stay. We stayed in a twin room by the pool area and it had everything you needed. The bedding and towels were so clean and fresh you could smell the fabric softener! We didn’t spend much time in the hotel as we travelled to Capri and Positano but the location is fantastic with only a 10 minute walk into Sorrento square where all the bars, shops and restaurants are, along with the bus/train station and harbour. It’s a perfect base and great value for money. The staff are all so helpful and friendly. We had breakfast included which was continental with a selection of pastries, cakes, meats and cereal. Plenty of choice for a few days. Overall an ideal base and lovely hotel!
