ITC Grand Goa, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Goa
4.5/575 Reviews
There were issues at check-in with payment from Trip.com and our rooms were in separate areas despite us requesting rooms in the same building. Upon asking multiple times we finally got a room nearby but the toilets were not working and we had to call for assistance multiple times which was always delayed.
Vintage Beach Resort

This place was the medicine I needed after a hectic pace of being on tour in N India. It’s across the street from the beach. Less than 5 minute walk. It’s under new owners and they have done a wonderful job, making it a happy and beautiful place to stay. My room was large with a comfortable bed and had a beautiful little balcony that looked out onto peaceful palm trees. There is a swimming pool, which is awesome when the beach gets too hot. It is surrounded by lush gardens and beautiful greenery. I ate breakfast every day in their little restaurant, and the food and service was top-notch. 😁

Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Goa

The one property I had not been to as yet. It was a great experience. Mr. Inzam at the reception helped us out very patiently in order to ensure that we got the rooms of our choice. The food in this property was really really good. Special mention to Mr. Sumesh and Mr Carson, who catered to all our wims and fancies. They ensured that we got everything at a moments notice. Mr Srikant was very helpful and patient driving us around in the golf carts. The kids really were well taken care of by the amazing team of Barmon, Chetna and Malvica. Very talented bunch I must say. Overall we had a great experience and will visit again. Downside I would say unlike Leela, the beach experience can be improved. Leela has better access to the beach.
Hotel Laxmi Empire

We decided to stay in this hotel looking at Google reviews and pictures online. While we booked the hotel, the prices told to me were different when I had called and were different when my friend had called. That was quite unprofessional. The location is pretty easy to find on Google maps. Bang opposite the railway station. Check in was a routine affair. Not much of a hassle. The rooms were big and spacious. Well i thought it could have been a touch nearer but nothing really to complain about. The washrooms were neat. The breakfast was a South Indian affair and the dishes were good for the minimum variety they had. The lunch at the restaurant was also very tasty. Overall the quality of food was good. There is ample parking space and there is a security round the clock so there's no worry about the security of the vehicle. The swimming pool although neat and tidy is right next to the service entry to the kitchen. Vehicles stop to load/unload their stuff right next to the pool. That's a drawback. Also it's an open access from outside the hotel. So anyone who come to visit the hotel even for lunch can just walk by the pool which isn't really great. There's no exclusivity for hotel checked in guests as such. The service is really really poor. We had to wait for ages to get something whether it was in the restaurant or for that matter room service. The didn't even replace the water bottles on the second day. They claim to have a spa and massage centre but it's not yet open as such. Most facilities in the hotel are still in their setting up stage. Heavily understaffed to say the least. Worth the money? Yes considering it was a trip with friends. Would I go back? Maybe is they improve a few facilities and get their staff in line.
Jasminn Hotel - am Hotel Kollection

Well what can I say!! What a fabulous holiday we both had at Jasminn Hotel. Check-in was faultless. I emailed the week before asking for a room with no interconecting door, sorted with no fuss at all. The room was of a good size , with a huge comfy bed, and a good choice of pillows. The room was decorated as shown on the hotel website, very quirky . The bathroom was of a good size, large walk in shower, lots of power. Plenty of lighting in the bathroom for the ladies to do their thing in the large mirror. Shower gel , shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion all supplied, and of good quality. Large wardrobe to hang clothes, and a safe is also in the wardrobe which is free. Large TV, table and chairs. Lovely furniture , styled in upcycled design. Good size balcony overlooking the pool and the restaurant. The Hotel has two pools, both are very inviting. The rooms are cleaned every day, and towels replaced if required. The food in the Hotel was very good and fairly priced, the Menu varied with plenty of choice. Drinks also fairly priced, from beers , to spirits, to cocktails and Mocktails. We payed for b and b, plenty of choice for breakfast, from Indian food to eggs of your choice, fruit, juices, tea, coffee, cereals, toast. The Staff and ***agement are a huge asset to the Hotel, every one was so friendly and helpful, from the ***ager , to the reception staff and every member of the service team in and around the Restaurant. The security guys were great personalities too. Cracking guys to have a chat with. Sunhil, Derry, Sharron, to name but a few. What wonderful people you all are, thank you so much for making our stay a memorable one. There is a shuttle bus that takes you to the beach on the hour, and returns at 15 mins past the hour, last bus to the beach is 18.00, and 18.15 returning to the Hotel. The Hotel is very peaceful, you don't hear doors slammed in the night. So a great night's sleep can be had. I must also say what a great bunch of people we met, like the staff all were very friendly. I think Donna and Me have found our new go to place in India. We will be back next March, for a longer stay. Please may I make one suggestion, a tip box on reception, and in the restaurant. We went out on our last night so did not get to see everyone we wanted to tip. And we left very early next morning. Thank you to all the staff at Jasminn Hotel for giving us a superb holiday on our first visit to South Goa. David and Donna Reynolds
