"It's a Relais & Châteaux hotel, but this was the only room available when I made the reservation. I didn't expect it to be so small. If you can afford it, book a larger one. It's comfortable to stay in and there's a Michelin restaurant downstairs."

"The hotel experience was quite poor. We checked in at around 4 o'clock that day. Even the front desk receptionist couldn't find the room we were given. After checking in, we found that the two double beds we booked were actually one double bed and two simple single beds. We went to the front desk to negotiate and were told that the rooms were full and there was a solution at the second level. At 10 o'clock in the evening, when we were ready to go to bed, we found that one of the simple beds had collapsed. When we turned over the sheets, we found that three wooden bars were missing. We went to the front desk to negotiate again. The night manager said that he was only the restaurant manager and could only add a mattress first and solve it the next day. As a result, the simple bed was only replaced with a wire bed the next day, which was not as good as the mattress the night before. The next night, we went to the bar on the first floor to consume with the 5-pound voucher for not cleaning the room. After ordering, we found that the bill price was different from the price we had just arrived. After checking, it was indeed a problem with the bar's price system, but when the bartender came back with the menu, he threw the menu next to us, and his expression when delivering the meal was also quite unhappy. Hypocritical British apology. This hotel is not worth the price at all."

"The store owner discriminated against Chinese people. They arranged a basement for us. There was no elevator and they didn't ask us if we needed help with the luggage. The most important thing was that there was a staircase next to our room. If someone went up and down the stairs, the noise was very loud! The curtains were not light-proof and leaked out from the sides. We could see inside our room from the side of the window. We had to use the kettle and bath towel in the room to wipe the curtains and hold them down, otherwise there would be no privacy! There was no view outside the window, three walls and a staircase."

Great
AAnonymous UserGreat hotel with a decent location in the middle of the Lake District. You can walk/ cycle to Ambleside which is 5 miles away. Low fells are easy to hike for great views of the area around.
The hotel is more like a private house with rooms. We got a small suite with bedroom, bathroom and living room. We could just about see the lake from the living room.
The bathroom only has a bath and no shower head which was a difficulty for washing hair. Except for that it was very well organised.
Breakfast was at a nearby pub - The Good Sport. It was a limited selection on the menu: full English, breakfast rolls, toast or porridge. You also got a 10% for dinner in the pub too.
GGuest UserStayed two nights in the ”Cosy room.”
Room was abit small but lovely and well presented, although I felt the room it's self wasn't fully cleaned. Their was a few cob webs on the ceilings, quite abit of rubbish under the bed and the shower had abit of mould on the sealant around the shower door.
Breakfast was lovely, with lots of variety and polite and friendly waiters.
WWeibixihuanThis hotel is great, with beautiful indoor and outdoor environments. You can overlook Lake Windermere from the hotel garden. Bottled drinking water and snacks and candies are provided in the room. It is best to book the hotel's dinner in advance. The hotel will also send an email to remind you whether you need to order food in the hotel before check-in. We ordered food on the spur of the moment and it tasted very good. If the itinerary was not arranged, I really want to stay one more night.
Rrita-forever1. Location, the hotel is just by the lake, but it is a 30-minute drive from Windermere, and it is far from the Lake District. 2. Some rooms can accommodate an extra bed, 15 pounds a day, including breakfast. 3, the hotel is large and has a lot of parking spaces. 4. The meal is great, classic English. 5, the hotel toiletries are good, is the British Royal Development Supplies MB, the bathroom's heating rack is open in the summer, the towel will be done overnight. Great
Ssun.9Temporary transit overnight hotel, just down the main road, the parking lot is large, convenient parking! There are also many travel brochures at the front desk for guests to read, it is recommended to stay!
EEllerbyThe hotel was in an ideal location for a one night stay after visiting Coniston. The welcome was warm and the room was pleasant with a large bed, sofa and tv. The tea and coffee station held complimentary water and biscuits which were a nice touch. The bathroom was a decent size with a very nice shower. The Food Was Nice in the restaurant.
GGuest UserAlthough it is not the most beautiful season, it has its own unique style, fresh air and beautiful environment. The morning mist is even more fairy-like, which is very suitable for a relaxing vacation. Although we only stayed for one night, it has added a lot of color to our trip.
LLisaStayed in one of the 4 garden cabins. Each are angled in such a way that they are all private. Each has its own hot tub and log burner. The cabin was cosy at night and well maintained. The cabin has WiFi, a tv, tea/coffee station, sofa and ensuite. Towels are provided for the bathroom plus separate towels, a robe and slippers for the hot tub. Breakfast was buffet but included hot self-service english breakfast items. I have to give credit to the person on reception when I checked in who greeted me with a smile and was friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back.
GGuest UserThe room is large, the surrounding environment is beautiful, it takes about ten minutes to walk to the steam train station, parking is convenient, and the breakfast is good.
