"This hotel is perfect for a layover near the airport. You can take the 205 bus directly from the airport to the hotel. It's made up of four buildings, and I stayed in building 3. "The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. One staff member went out of his way to help me find the night airport bus when I was worried I might miss it. He even printed a map for me and carefully explained which exit was the closest and easiest to use.
As for the room, it was very clean and well-maintained. The hot water worked perfectly, which made for a comfortable stay. Although the room wasn’t very large, it had everything I needed and was just the right size for a pleasant stay."

"Our room was very clean and comfortable! We were informed beforehand that drainage might be slow after 11 PM, so we had no complaints about that. The hotel is conveniently located about a 5-minute walk from Seolleung Station Exit 10, which serves Subway Line 2 and the Suin–Bundang Line, making subway access very easy. Although I had arranged an airport transfer service via email several months in advance, I couldn't reach them on the day and ended up taking a taxi. However, the staff apologized immediately and very politely when I checked in, so I have no complaints about their service either!
If I had to nitpick, the shower temperature was a bit difficult to adjust and the water pressure was weak. Nevertheless, I would definitely book this hotel again if I travel to Korea with a large group next time!"

"This hotel offers incredible value for money, seriously the best I've found in my dozen-plus trips to Korea! The front desk has self-service bottled water, tissues, coffee, and even contact lens solution. The room has a smart toilet and enough space for two large suitcases. The Incheon Airport bus 6007 takes you directly near the hotel, and it's about a 5-minute walk from there. Getting around by public transport is super convenient, as long as you're patient enough to figure out the local maps. A taxi to Gimpo Airport is only about 20 minutes and costs around ₩80,000 (roughly $80 USD). The hotel is located in an alley, so I wouldn't recommend it for solo female travelers, but it's perfectly fine if you're with a group. The room wasn't spotlessly clean, but the bedding was great, and while the shower didn't have a separate wet/dry area, the water quality was excellent – showers and hair washes felt really good. For ₩30,000-₩40,000 a night, this hotel truly is a fantastic deal!"

GGuest UserThis hotel's location was amazing. It was connected to the subway. Next to lotte world. Exceptional service. We stayed hotel twice and definitely coming back next time when we visit here. My 8 years old daughter loved the view from the 97th floor. Best shopping spot, aquarium, observation tower , kids Cafe, movie theater, tons of restaurants and cafes . All in one place. Truly amazing.

RRenzhenrenThis hotel is perfectly located! It's just south of Seoul City Hall Square and west of Myeongdong. The subway station is only a few dozen meters from the lobby entrance, and Sejong-daero is right to the west. It's also not far from the major palaces and Namsan, so the location couldn't be better. The staff are very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. While the facilities might feel a bit more compact compared to newly built five-star hotels in China, they are well-maintained and perfectly adequate. Overall, it offers great value for money.

The service attitude was incredibly perfunctory – polite on the surface, but they clearly didn't care about the guests at all. We arrived at the hotel at 6 PM, and they still insisted on an 11 AM checkout. When I asked for an extra half-hour, the front desk staff looked at me as if I owed them money. In the end, they just wrote '11:30' on a paper without saying a single word. Seriously, don't you have a mouth? Couldn't you even say something? Their impatient demeanor was truly terrible. This is by far the worst service I've ever experienced in a five-star hotel, and I've stayed in many across different countries. I will definitely not be staying here again. Absolutely dreadful.

AAF2310The location is good, directly opposite of the lake and next to Lotte world mall. To MTR it’s 5-7mins.
The front desk staff is not accommodative at all, any request is like „no, we can’t“ attitude.
As of the cleanness and amenities, first of all, the shower head did not work properly, the aircon did not work during the first night ( better the second and third) and the tooth brush glass had stains when I checked in ( see photo attached )
Overall, not recommended for luxury stay, but if it’s just a family vacay, why not.

GGuest UserI rarely write hotel reviews, but I just had to for this one! Today, I decided to explore a different area and moved to a hotel in Hongdae. The contrast was shocking – both are in popular Seoul areas, but the difference was huge! On that note, I'm going to call out 9 Bricks Hotel Hongdae as one to avoid. I'll be reviewing them when I check out tomorrow…
Now, let me praise L'escape – the location is absolutely fantastic! It's right by Hoehyeon Station on Subway Line 4, Exit 7. From the escalator at the exit, there are signs directing you to the hotel! Honestly, you don't even need the signs because you can see the hotel as soon as you step out onto the street. There's a slight uphill walk, and as I was halfway up with my luggage, a hotel staff member came running out to help! The service was incredible! 👍
If you don't go above ground from Exit 7, the other direction leads directly into Shinsegae Department Store. It’s a multi-story department store with food, a duty-free shop, luxury goods, and affordable items – great for browsing! Outside on the ground level of Shinsegae, there's a 3D mega-screen, similar to the one at Taikoo Li in Chengdu, but much more visually appealing and with fewer advertisements.
The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from Myeongdong. As a proper tourist, Myeongdong is a must-visit! Especially after exploring Hongdae today… I really want to go back to Myeongdong! 😢
Now, about the hotel itself (my picture arrangement is a bit messy, can't adjust it yet…)
The hotel itself has a distinctive style. It might feel a little old-fashioned and perhaps not ideal for families with young children, but it's clean, tidy, and still very refined! Even the elevators are decorated, somewhat reminiscent of The Ritz in London. The toiletries are BYREDO, just like at Six Senses. The mini-bar is completely free, and the Nespresso capsules and chocolates are excellent. The hotel's restaurant is Michelin-starred year after year – not cheap, but certainly fantastic. The Tea Lounge was closed by the time I arrived, but I'm sure it's also wonderful. The bar on the 26th floor is very chill, and you can get great photos with ease!
The postcards provided in the room are beautiful, and they even offer free mailing! I also love the design of the notepads and the toiletry packaging – the hand-drawn illustration style is gorgeous!
The hotel service is also excellent. Most of the staff speak English and are always ready to help with luggage, calling taxis, and opening car doors.
In summary, it's a high-end hotel service experience through and through! But I only paid just over 800 RMB for my stay – it far exceeded my expectations! Next time I come to Seoul, I will 100% rebook this hotel.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the view overlooking Namsan and downtown Seoul was truly impressive. The night skyline, in particular, was one of the highlights of this hotel.
What made this stay even more special was the service provided by Manager Minji Cho. Her thoughtful, professional, and genuinely attentive care made the entire experience feel very comfortable and welcoming. Her sincere approach left a lasting impression.
Everything from the facilities to the service was excellent, and this is definitely a hotel I would be happy to return to on my next visit to Seoul. I would like to sincerely thank Manager Minji Cho for the outstanding service.

예예진여행First off, I need to vent and complain! When I booked, there were options like 'basement room' and 'superior room.' To ensure my child was comfortable, I specifically booked a 'superior room with a window'! To my shock, the 'superior room' was on the basement level, had no window, and was in the farthest corner. I desperately wanted to pay more to switch, but they only had one other room left, and it was even worse. I had no choice but to make do. But the nightmare continued: all night long, there was the constant sound of an elevator, which scared my child to sleep, and I didn't get a wink of sleep myself!
The main issue is that the hotel's advertisement *didn't mention it was in the basement* and specifically highlighted 'with a window.' This false advertising completely misled us. When my child and I booked on Trip.com, we requested a room with a good view, quiet, and not in the farthest corner! This room was in the basement, windowless, had elevator noise, and was in the very last corner—I was terrified!
If there wasn't a suitable room, the hotel could have informed me in advance, but I received no notification or communication. The hotel's ad looked great, but it was truly dreadful!
I wanted to mention some other good points, but I spent a lot of money only to end up in a basement room! I'm so upset!
Oh, and even though the bathroom was large, the shower drain was clogged. The water went above my ankles when I showered, and it still hadn't dried completely by the next morning. It really shows you can't just trust the ads!

CCarlypMondrian Seoul Itaewon was such a great surprise. The design of the hotel is stunning — every corner feels thoughtfully curated and different from the usual hotel experience.
The atmosphere is vibrant yet relaxed, and the overall experience feels very premium without being too formal. Everything from the rooms to the common areas has a cool, modern edge that we really enjoyed.
Definitely a perfect spot if you’re looking for a hotel with personality in Seoul. Would happily come back.

GGuest UserThe location was great, right behind the station. Having a 7-Eleven right next door and a supermarket nearby was perfect for enjoying tangerines in the jacuzzi. The heating worked well, and the welcome drink being Kooksoondang Makgeolli was a delightful surprise. Although the wish paper and incense burner were gone, traditional games like Yutnori and Gonggi were still available.
The amenities included shampoo, body wash, conditioner, toothbrushes, and disposable toothpaste. There was also a separate foot towel, and plenty of regular towels (6-8 sheets). The herbal tea bag for the jacuzzi had a lovely subtle scent.
My only minor complaints were a nail on top of the bathroom towel, a loose power outlet, and while the portable standing TV was a nice touch, there was no remote control. The soundproofing wasn't great; I could often hear the TV, conversations, laughter, and even what was being discussed from the next room. Also, if you opened the jacuzzi window curtain, you had a clear view into the windows of the villa opposite, so it's probably best to keep it closed.
Despite these small issues, it was a charming place, and at this price point, I'd say it's worth coming to enjoy at least once.
