Stayed here as part of a 60th Birthday Holiday Celebration and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were most pleasant and helpful and went out of their way to make my stay a very pleasant one. The room was also very nice. Ate in the restaurant on the evening (again, standards very good) and experienced the most amazing sunset over Cape Cornwall :). This place is about one mile from the centre of St Just (a bit of a challenge if you're on foot and with heavy luggage!) but well worth the effort once here. If you're looking for a very pleasant place to stay near Cape Cornwall with good accommodation/restaurant facilities then this is the place for you. Note: Even though it's called a club (specialising in golf and I'm not a golfer), I felt very welcome. Would definitely stay here again :).

Excellent stay to celebrate a 60th anniversary we booked 6 rooms which were all lovely and next to each other. Lovely walk in showers and really huge comfortable beds. 13 of us ate in the restaurant you could not fault the food so tasty, beautifully presented and accommodating an allergy with there own separate meal the bar and restaurant were very comfortable. The next day we had a buffet breakfast very hot with lots of choice and again without asking the chef had accommodated a special breakfast for the allergy. We then went for a lovely walk with breathtaking views while the men played a round of golf a lovely course maintained well by River the green keeper who again was so welcoming, we then finished off with a beautiful carvery Special thanks must go to Alicja front of house making our time so special and to Ian the chef for outstanding food

Absolutely terrible experience. Rooms were extremely dirty, very uncomfortable bed and to top it off the shower was not working ! To add to the mess , the manager called Steven was the most rudest , unprofessional, unfriendly person I've ever encountered in any hotel experience! Also please do not give this hotel your long bank card number as they took full payment without and prior to our arrival and knowledge! Avoid this place like the plague 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

We stayed here for one night as part of an organised group tour that visits the Isles of Scilly, so we didn't choose to stay here but it was chosen by the tour company due to it not being too far from Penzance Harbour for the ferry to St Mary's. After a long train journey from Paddington and then a coach transfer we arrived at this desolate place with unmade muddy tracks to the rooms. Our room was a basic twin that was situated at the end of a small terrace. As soon as we entered we noticed the overwhelming smell of dogs. The carpet was filthy and stained, and the room was tiny with no room for suitcases. If we had been staying for more than than one night we would have left and found somewhere else. Dinner and breakfast were included in our stay. We ate in the clubhouse bar both times. It was so noisy at dinner that it was almost impossible to have a conversation. On both occasions the food was average at best. We left early the next morning but complaints about our room fell on deaf ears. Unless you're a very keen golfer indeed, I don't see why you would want to stay here. Avoid it at all costs and find somewhere better: it won't be difficult!

On the positive side cute motel style rooms. Downhill from then on. No hot water in the morning for a shower and the shower had black mould on the shower tray. Despite there being a heated towel rail it was very small and not big enough for all the towels for 2 people and nowhere else to hang towels. The breakfast was very disappointing and it was not possible to have a healthy breakfast. I had to ask twice for a yoghurt and there was no peppermint or herbal tea bags, fortunately I had some of my own! Very disappointing and I would not recommend.

On a weeks AL,and exploring more of the county we live in.Booked this hotel last minute and in hindsight, was not a good fit for us personally.Firstly there is ample free parking.Others have mentioned parking was very limited? Not sure how,the carpark is very big.Always a plus in Cornwall.Check in process was quick and easy, friendly member of staff showed us to our room. Our room was very small, with the double bed pushed up against the wall. This is never ideal is it?It meant whoever gets the wall side has to climb over their partner during the night if they need to visit the toilet, and no where to put a drink next to you,or your phone etc.No bed lamps in this room either, which also is not ideal. No chairs/table as the room just is'nt big enough.Window very low down too, pretty much floor level.I'm a petite female and had to stoop down to see the partial view.Bathroom was fine, with nice toiletries. We walked down to the ocean, really expecting to see a sandy beach. There is'nt one.Other reviewers have posted pics of a beach, its not here.We asked the lady working at the NT carpark, she pointed down towards the ocean. We walked down....define beach? All we could see was pebbles...followed by big rocks then the ocean. The hotel is about a 20 min walk to St Just.Several pubs/cafes there.Breakfast was ok.Its not cooked to order. You basically help yourselves to a buffet. We arrived at 8am (we had an event to attend)and everything was put our fresh then.No complaint from us re the quality of the food.However....there were also golfers (many)also having b/fast at the same time, and it was very noisy. So noisy we gave up trying to hear eachother over the noise. So if you're looking for a nice quiet relaxed b/fast,this is'nt the place.I'm sure others will find the hotel fine, but sadly it just was'nt for us.Wrong location and hotel.Would we stay here again? No.The pool looked very nice but we did'nt use it.

These were the good points to my stay: - Friendly and helpful staff - Amazing location - Room was clean - Comfortable bed with crisp fresh linen - Decent sized bathroom with nice complimentary toiletries - Could see the sea from my bed Sadly though there were some things that let it down: - Room was a bit shabby, frayed carpet, holes in the wall, paint peeling off in places and a large fuse box in the middle of the wall. Only lighting was bright spot lights and the switch was next to the door. A bedside lamp would be good or at least a light switch in reach of the bed. - Breakfast was poor, an underwhelming low quality hot buffet and the continental option just consisted of a couple of packets of cereal, cheap fruit juice and some processed bread. No fresh fruit, pastries or yoghurt. Hot drinks came from a machine. I didn’t bother having the breakfast the second morning. - Sauna in the spa was lukewarm and the hot tub wasn’t the cleanest. For the money charged it was disappointing, it’s an amazing location and with a bit more care and a better quality breakfast could be lovely.
