2-Star Hotels in Jianshui

This guesthouse just opened during the Spring Festival and was newly renovated, so everything is brand new and there's no need to worry about hygiene. The rooms are simple and unpretentious, not like a typical hotel, but very cozy. All the amenities and furniture in the room are of good quality. I was lucky to book this place; you can tell they pay great attention to detail. The owners are incredibly hospitable. We were able to borrow their electric scooter to explore the neighborhood, and they even took us to a barbecue restaurant they recommended – the food was delicious and inexpensive! Everyone also helped us with our luggage upon check-in. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Jianshui.

Our stay was unexpectedly great! We booked two rooms for four people and the owner upgraded both of them for us. He added us on WeChat beforehand to send us the address, and when we arrived, he was already waiting at the entrance to help us with parking. During check-in, he explained the local tourist routes around the town and the guesthouse, and recommended some fantastic local eateries. We tried them out and can confirm they were truly excellent recommendations! He even sent us the exact locations for each place and helped us rent electric scooters. The guesthouse is new, so the facilities and hygiene are top-notch. All in all, it was an amazing experience!

We had a truly enjoyable stay at this lovely homestay in Jianshui. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The accommodation was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged, giving us a comfortable place to relax after exploring the town. The location was perfect—peaceful, yet just a short walk or ride to Jianshui's historic old town, the Confucius Temple, and the beautiful Zhu Family Garden. The architecture and local atmosphere were charming, and we felt like we got a real taste of traditional Yunnan culture. Our hosts also provided great suggestions for local food and sights, which made our trip even more memorable. This homestay was the perfect base for discovering the beauty and history of Jianshui. Highly recommended—we would happily stay here again!

Super cozy yard very nice person quiet and large room, close to main street and very convenient to everywhere. Thanks for suggestions and helps from the elegant hostel lady, like went back home and saw your grandma and family. Jianshui is also worth to go back many times, time stopped there and addicted to various rice noodles.

We booked this hotel in Jianshui Ancient City through Ctrip. Upon arrival, the lovely owner, seeing that we were older, kindly arranged a large room on the first floor for us. She also recommended several good local restaurants, and bottled water was unlimited. When we accidentally lost our room key while sightseeing, the owner didn't make a fuss or ask for compensation. The owner was very generous and kind; I would recommend her to anyone visiting the ancient city.

I love the homestay so much. Whether it's the decor or the toothbrush and bedding, you can see the owner's care and taste. We booked two rooms, a private bath and a slide room. The private bath room can relieve a day's fatigue, and the slide room can satisfy the children's joy. The location of the homestay is quiet in the bustling city and convenient for transportation. The owner is responsive, patient and gentle. I really enjoy chatting with the owner. It's really nice and makes me feel warm. When I left, it felt like I was leaving a friend's house. I look forward to seeing you next time👍🏻

The boss family is kind and friendly. At first, the children on the first floor arranged the room did not like it. Later, we directly upgraded the room type and lived on the 3rd floor. There was a balcony with our own. The proprietress must be a person who loves life. She planted a lot of meat on the balcony. She returned to the room at night to look at the scenery outside. It was a quiet and comfortable beauty. The children lived here very comfortably. I liked it.

The last two days of our trip were spent in Jianshui, and the most satisfying experience was definitely staying at the Home Inn Huayi Hotel! The first impression was one of warmth and relaxation. Free laundry service was also provided in the rooms. The breakfast was varied and quite delicious! Location-wise, it's very convenient to get to the ancient city, Zitao Street, Zhu Family Garden, and other nearby attractions by taxi—all within about 2-3 kilometers! Being near the highway can be a bit noisy, but choosing a room away from the highway is much better.

Amazing.Words aren't enough to describe how grateful I am to have come to Jianshui and stayed at this hostel. Super clean, comfortable bed and location. All amenities you require are provided. I slept so well every night and conveniently walked or took the public bus to further sights. Not only the facilities are excellent, but the vibe created by the owner and the fellow travellers was so memorable and unique. We had so much fun and happy moments just chatting in the court yard, sharing our experiences and life in general. Everyone was so friendly and generous to share and give tips on everything to see and do This is not just a hostel but a place I will remember and come back often. It's a hostel with a very homely environment. The manager will invite you to drink tea with him, the courtyard is a very chill area to hang out in and even spend all day to the sound of flowing water and surrounded by plants. There is a kitchen available too, and the manager brings water from the well daily for the use of the guests. The dorm was comfortable and the lower beds have curtains but the upper ones don't. The manager sometimes organises events for the guests, such as the time when we went picking mushrooms and visited a local market from where we bought more mushrooms which were cooked for dinner, all at a very good price. The location is excellent, just 1 minute walking to the south gate of the ancient city. I will not hesitate to stay here again when I come back to Jianshui.
