2-Star Hotels in Urumqi

The hotel in Urumqi is conveniently located right next to a bus stop. You can take a bus directly from the airport to here, and a single bus fare within the city is only two yuan. There are plenty of dining options right downstairs from the hotel, which is super convenient. There's also a market selling fruit just around the corner. The hotel staff provide excellent service, the rooms are clean, and the location is fantastic. I highly recommend it. You can get anywhere for just two yuan by bus, making it very easy to reach places like the International Grand Bazaar and the museum.

Nice hotel overall. The room is clean and comfortable, and plenty of bottled water is provided. There was a soft spot in the wooden floor tiles, almost as if the flooring has dented over time due to usage. It didn’t affect the stay, but it may be something worth upgrading in the future. The air conditioning/heating unit is very useful, though it has a slight humidity-related smell when operating. Our room rate included breakfast, served in the cafeteria on the second floor. The food was very good—one of the better inclusive breakfast offerings I’ve experienced among hotels in a similar price range. The staff are very kind and consistently greet you as you walk in and out of the hotel. There is also security at the front entrance, which adds an extra layer of safety and reassurance. The location is convenient, with many shops and restaurants nearby, and it’s also very easy to get around using Didi. Overall, a very good experience and I would gladly return.

For a budget hotel, I think it's pretty good! The service deserves five stars; the front desk staff were excellent. When we arrived at the parking lot, the security guard immediately came over to help with our luggage. The front desk even gave us a complimentary room upgrade during check-in! 👍 Storing our luggage was also very convenient and secure. We checked out, left our bags, and then went out to enjoy ourselves without any hassle. The hotel isn't far from the dried fruit market, the Grand Bazaar, or the museum. You can basically do all that in one go, come back for your luggage, and then it's just a 10-minute drive to Urumqi Railway Station, which is super convenient. Oh, and there's a meat pie shop about 100 meters from the hotel that's been open for decades! You HAVE to try it!

Service: For check in on trip, it says to call a day in advance. I tried this, but the person who answered couldn't speak English. It was not a problem, because I then messaged on the online chat. That was perfectly fine and they responded very quickly. I'd say if you don't speak Chinese, just message online. The front desk staff were super helpful when I was there, and quick to use a translator so we could communicate well. Amenities: I did some washing, laundry detergent cost ¥10 I think, and again the staff were very helpful, finding as many hangers as I needed to dry my clothes. Location: The environment was so peaceful, the lobby was a nice air-conditioned place to hang out. The outside grass area was so lovely, with little lavender and rose plants and chairs to sit outside. There is also a bar across the courtyard, and a coffee shop. The area is a bit far out of the city, but it is right near the metro, lots of local shops, and a mall with some big chain stores. Things to consider: I stayed in the single room attached to the women's dorm. It was so handy to have my own space for a very reasonable price. However, the single room itself does not have its own air-conditioning. The women's dorm does, so to cool the room down, I would just keep the door between open for a bit. Still, it was never as cold as the dorm room because it went up to 40°c outside when I was there, and I preferred to keep the door locked when I went out to keep my belongings safe. The single room does have a fan and a window, so you can get some airflow through there. Overall, it was fine, just be aware if you are travelling during the summer. (Also one suggestion I would have is to put a mirror in the room, so you can get ready in there). The only other issue was no soap for washing hands in the dorm bathroom, although there was shampoo and conditioner provided in the shower. Cat: The cat was so cute! 🐈

The room was clean and comfortable. Before coming to Tiancheng, I was a bit wary of hostels in Xinjiang, but after arriving, I realized that was unnecessary. They offer so much emotional value, teaching us Xinjiang dances, and even if we couldn't get it right, they patiently helped us. The service attitude is excellent, no need to even mention it! 👍 I haven't experienced this level of service plus emotional value in many hostels back home. I was surprised to find they also have branches in Kashgar and Kuqa. I'll definitely visit their other locations next time. They even helped me arrange my stays at the other two branches. Next stop, Kashgar Tiancheng, here I come! 🐎

This hostel completely exceeded my expectations as a solo traveler! The environment is quiet and elegant, and the common lounge is perfect for reading, chatting, and meeting many interesting people. The hygiene is meticulous, the bedding is soft, and the soundproofing is also quite good. The owner is very nice and patiently answers questions about travel itineraries. It's a warm landing spot during my journey, highly recommended!

A great stay and located in a convenient area. It is I guess located in a new area of Urumqi as it is quite far from the city center but it is okay. The hostel is really nice and comfortable and the owner is very nice. She also recommended a tour guide which helped us go around Urumqi. The room we reserved has a view of Tianshan snowy mountains.

The service is very good and thoughtful. The facilities are complete and the hygiene is very good. The hotel is very close to the attractions. In short, it is a very comfortable trip. I will come again next time if I have the chance.

Although small, it had everything you needed. I didn't have high hopes for the room, which was only a little over 100 yuan, but it turned out to be incredibly good value for money! It was simple, clean, and tidy, and there were restaurants and a small supermarket nearby, which was very convenient. The receptionist was also very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is very close to the airport and offers a private shuttle service. This was my first time staying in a capsule hotel, and it was a surprisingly good experience. The capsule itself offered great privacy, good ventilation, and various lighting options. It was clean, comfortable, and very budget-friendly. The front desk staff were also very welcoming!
