The courtyard is obviously well designed, with winding paths and everything you need. The room is decorated with great texture, it seems very spacious when you move in, and the bedding and bathroom are also very clean. The scenery is beautiful when sitting in the courtyard. There are rape flowers in front of you and a stream flowing in front of the door. Many students sketching are also here, which has become another scenic spot. It is very convenient to go to other parts of the village from here, as well as to climb to the top to see the whole picture of the village. The key is that the proprietress is warm and cheerful, and some of her cooking skills are great. I had the most sumptuous and delicious breakfast here. It felt like visiting relatives and I was reluctant to leave. If vacations could be unlimited, I really want to stay here for a few months, basking in the sun, petting cats, tasting the boss lady's cooking, digging wild vegetables and bamboo shoots. It would be so beautiful.

Everything is excellent. The owner came out to the entrance and drove our luggage to the hotel. He did the same when we left. So our big luggage bags weren’t a problem. We had a very comfortable stay for 3 nights. They have a washer for laundry which suits our needs. The owner also has a very quaint cafe just around the corner. We had a great time chilling there for 2 afternoons and even had dinner there. Highly recommended!

I loved this inn and the warm welcome I received from the owner and his family. The inn is a historic Huizhou style house with a quiet courtyard; Bishan is a great village with a mix of traditional livelihoods and new cultural activity - I really want to come again in the warmer weather. Transport is spotty but the owners can help arrange cars as needed. Note to foreign friends: No English is spoken but the hosts are very welcoming and you could get along just fine with a translation app. Come visit and experience the real Anhui!

The room was clean and the landlady was very welcoming. The food downstairs was delicious. I'll definitely book again next time. It's also quite close to the scenic area and offers great value for money.

This homestay was satisfactory. It was very well located in the old town and easy to find. However, there was no one at the front desk when I arrived or throughout the stay. I had to call and then wait for about 10 minutes before someone arrived. When the host arrived they seemed unsure about my reservation, was on call with someone else, and didn’t provide any service or information about the local area. A while after I entered the room there was a bad smell from the bathroom drain that remained for the rest of my stay. There was another bad smell in the morning of my 2nd day. I walked outside my room to find that an animal had pooped outside my door. Maybe a cat? It is unfortunate because this was a beautiful home and Hongcun is a stunning town, but it did not feel like the homestay was very well serviced or cleaned. I’m sure they can improve before the next stay!

The most beautiful proprietress in Hongcun is not only beautiful, she also drives to and from the hotel herself. The service is meticulous and the accommodation environment is good. Although the soundproofing of the century-old wooden house is not good, everyone consciously goes to bed before ten o'clock. The village is very quiet. It was a two-day rest after coming down from Huangshan Mountain. It's great! Super five-star praise!

It's very close to the South Gate, with a large floor-to-ceiling glass room. The room was very clean and had all the basic amenities. The owner was very attentive. They helped with the way into and out of the scenic area and even checked in my luggage. They also gave me a souvenir before I checked out.

I was also very satisfied with the host's service; they were welcoming but not overly intrusive, and their recommendations for nearby restaurants were excellent. I'll definitely stay here again! Beautiful house located in a quiet part of the ancient village. As you’ll read in many reviews, the host provides excellent service, and I felt like I was meeting a friend. He took me to and from the gate of the village to the house and helped me carry my luggage. He also helped me arrange a ride back to the train station - there were some issues and he took the time to sort it out with the drivers on my behalf, which was above and beyond. The host and I talked about traveling and I could tell he was someone who was genuine and wanted to be as helpful as possible. The room is beautiful with huge windows and lots of thoughtful details. I had wonderful rests here while it was too hot outside. From the window you can see some rooftops of Hui architecture. The village isn’t big, so all the sights are nearby

The owner is really nice, warm and easy to talk to. You can tell he's dedicated to running the business. I'm giving this rating purely to encourage him to improve some of the issues and grow the business. The shop's ambiance is actually quite stunning, brimming with Anhui style, antique charm, and a captivating atmosphere. But I was completely surprised to see a major issue with the basic drainage system. In the shower, within seconds, water began to accumulate like a fish pond beneath my feet. Even the washbasin was severely clogged, overflowing quickly. At first, I thought it was a common problem with old Anhui-style houses, but when I asked my parents where they live, they said they had no such issue. It seems like encountering this kind of problem is really just a matter of luck; if you're unlucky, you'll just have to deal with a terrible water blockage. I hope the owner can resolve this issue quickly so everyone can enjoy a comfortable stay.
