When I left, I told my husband that this was the feeling that the homestay should have. It was a very, very unexpected stay experience. First of all, when I booked on the phone, the housekeeper was very patient to recommend and introduce. After I arrived at the hotel, I chose the room I liked. The room was cleaned very clean. The floor heating room is really super comfortable. Unlike the air conditioner, it will be very dry and stuffy for a long time, so I sleep well at night. The quality of toiletries in the room is also very good. Because the Chinese New Year is approaching during the stay, the hotel has a lot of New Year elements in the public area. The photo is very atmospheric. 很滿意的一次住宿，朋友推薦來到這裏，果然驚喜連連。進門是兩百多年的古宅，還有專業的管家小姐姐進行講解，閣樓也是對住客開放的，還可以做漢服粧造，粧造小姐姐是師從87版紅樓夢的粧造師，作品的確有令人眼前一亮。爬完黃山累得不想出門，就在園子裏拍照打卡，發現關起門來處處是景，還避免了景區的人潮擁擠。晚餐也就近在店裡用餐了，吃到光盤。聽管家小姐姐介紹，這裏的餐食主打健康舒心，鹽是竹鹽，燉雞湯僅用山泉水+鹽。整個體驗下來不像是住旅店，而是像回家一般舒心，宅子裏的每位管家小姐姐也都像家人一樣貼心關照，是羣可愛的人啊。

Very happy to spend the night in two ancient towns here, and lived in two yards.
Environment: Every yard has its own general style. Not in the center of the ancient town, but very close to the business district. The night is very quiet, and each yard has its own scenery.
Facilities: The bed was too comfortable, and I got a good rest after climbing Huangshan. The standard rooms are very textured and designed to be very user-friendly. There is a large terrace in one room to watch the sunset. The other room can chat while watching the street view. The first room in the ancient town has floor heating, and it is very pleasant in winter. The overall design is very colorful, and has been imitated and never been surpassed.
Service: There is a little brother who is specifically responsible for the pick-up and drop-off of luggage and guests, and we don't need to do it at all. The proprietress is very hospitable and attentive, and will prepare refreshments every time.

It's just across the long path in the rice field, and an old house is a beautiful hotel! The room facilities are not like a homestay but like a five-star hotel. The most commendable thing is the hotel service, the boss and couple and several waiters are particularly enthusiastic. The child did not eat at noon, and the proprietress also gave a bowl of delicious noodles. There are not many varieties of breakfast but they are very homely. The taste of doing it is instant home! Especially the small meat bag, the child likes it very much! The salted duck eggs of the inn themselves are so delicious. I want to buy a few home. As a result, I was told that there were fewer cockroaches to leave for other guests, so friends who have a chance to eat it quickly!

XXuelangyiAs an authentic Huizhou native who left home when I was young, I came to Hongcun and met Zhang Gongguan for the first time, but I was amazed by the whole ink painting Qingming. After walking through the streets and alleys, I finally found the low-key house number. I opened a small door and opened a paradise. The antique Ming and Qing Dynasty old houses, restored in the Hui-style style, and simple and elegant furniture make people feel like they have traveled through time and space and returned to the prosperous ancient Huizhou of the past. In the front hall and back yard, the centuries-old mottled walls are paired with the black and white colors of Qingming rain, but it also has a sense of vicissitudes like ”in the old days, when kings went to the hall and swallows flew into the homes of ordinary people”, it was as if they were in a Chinese ink painting. This is an old house with a history of 300 years. It is located in the core scenic area of Hongcun. It only takes 3 minutes to walk to Moon Marsh. There are many types of guest rooms with different styles. Almost all of them feature Chinese retro style. The carved wooden beds, wooden couches and dressing tables are all antique designs. The calligraphy, paintings and porcelain in the room highlight the famous Hui school. The door is an antique wooden door latch. key. The facilities in the bathroom are absolutely high-end. Dyson hair dryers and Hermès bath products are both rich in history and considerate. The owner lives with his guests and has four cats, several courtyards, and a beautiful swimming pool. The guests can drink tea and relax while leaning on the garden view. The butler's service was extremely attentive. He asked about the soundproofing at night, prepared a heart-warming breakfast in the morning, took our luggage all the way from the parking lot to the CI, dragged our luggage up the narrow stairs of the old house, and used a small electric donkey to carry our luggage again before we left. Return to the parking lot. I want to say here that the wooden stairs in the old Hui-style houses are narrow and shaky, and the sound insulation between the rooms is not very good. If you come to immerse yourself in the old house life, don’t complain and pay more attention to yourself. In short, this place really made my impression of Hongcun become more beautiful and full of nostalgia. It is undoubtedly the best private hotel in the village, and it feels like a dream that I will never wake up from.

This time I traveled by car from Sichuan for thousands of miles, and I rushed to Huangshan immediately after visiting it. It really didn't disappoint me. Whether it is the enthusiasm, thoroughness and meticulousness of the service, or the hygiene details, for patients like me who have moderate cleanliness, they are completely relaxed and stay. The focus is on staying at their home, especially enjoying the boss's attentive and professional collections, slowly watching the owner's collections, sitting in many classical collections, making our stay a layer of humanistic atmosphere, especially satisfied. Their dishes are also authentic Huizhou home-cooked dishes, which taste good and I like it very much. I should introduce friends to stay in the future. I will also become a loyal fan and repeat customer of their family. Because Huizhou is really beautiful. The front guards are the icing on the cake for our autumn trip to Huizhou.

There is a wall for Internet celebrities to take photos in the courtyard of the B&B. There is also a beautiful courtyard outside, where you can take photos. There is also Hanfu to experience. It is very close to Nanhu Lake.
Hygiene: The room is very clean, and disposable toilet covers are provided. The supplies are very complete. It is one of the few hotel-level accommodations in the village.
Service: The guy will help with luggage and responds very promptly. Welcome fruits and snacks were given. Chrysanthemum tea was given before leaving.
Facilities: The room is large and new, the bath water is sufficient, and the air conditioning is warm enough, so it is not cold at all. You can see the horse head wall outside the window.

GGuest UserHongcun Yushan mountain scenery house is convenienly located near the South Gate of Hongcun Scenic area. We booked courtyard B which is located outside and behind the main hotel complex with breakfast included. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable, and had a small courtyard, but unfortunately no garden chairs or table to sit outside. In hindsight we woud book another room in the main complex next time. It has a lovely open garden and plenty of outdoor seating. I contacted the hotel before our stay and managed by using a voice translator to connect with the staff on Wechat. A friendly staff member met us at the entrance to the scenic area and entry is free of charge when you stay at the hotel. The hotel staff don't speak any English, but they were very helpful and friendly and we got along fine using Wechat and other translators. I won't recommend eating dinner at the hotel as there are many local Chinese restaurants in the ancient village. The hotel offers a coffee shop in the lobby and has a number of options, like Americano, Latte etc. The coffee is very good, but I felt it was a bit pricey for the cup size. The hotel breakfast is Chinese with no Western options, and it is served in unique way in a tray. I enjoyed the breakfast, but my husband would have liked more western options. On our arrival the room was already pre-heated and the beds in the room were comfortable. It was snowing lightly when we arrived and there were umbrellas available in the room. They also provide vanity items. We visited just before the Chinese New Year tourist rush at the beginning of the holiday and this was a very good location and time to visit despite the cold weather. The ancient village was not too crowded and it was nice to walk around in the evenings and daytime with the hotel is situated conveniently right next to the South lake. Drone flying is allowed which can give drone flyers an aerial view of the village. Depending on your iterinary a one night stay is sufficient to visit Hongcun and the nearby Xidi ancient village then move on to another hotel at the foot or top of the mountain or Tunxi village. We enjoyed our stay and can recommend this hotel to travelers wanting a good hotel experience in Hongcun.

GGuest UserMy family and I (5 of us) recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay in Hongcun for two days and one night, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building, steeped in history at 400 years old, is located relatively close to the West entrance, making access a breeze. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and well-kept. Although I initially booked three specific rooms, they were unavailable due to renovation. However, I was provided with three other rooms that turned out to be more spacious, which was a delightful surprise.
The lobby felt incredibly welcoming, with a cozy living-room-style atmosphere. There’s a lovely café to the left and a souvenir shop to the right, adding a nice touch of convenience and charm as you walk toward the living area. Wan Jie (elder sister Wan), the host, was truly hospitable and attentive. Her warmth shone through from our first phone call, which she answered cheerfully while helping arrange our pickup, as cars aren’t allowed into Hongcun, a UNESCO Heritage Site.
One of the highlights of this homestay was the restaurant nestled in a ”secret” garden—a serene and picturesque spot where my family and I could have happily spent more time. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall experience. Though it was too cool to use during my visit, the homestay also features a pool that would be perfect for summer days.
At the end of our stay, Wan Jie went above and beyond by accompanying us to the village exit to wait for our driver, ensuring everything went smoothly before saying her goodbyes. It’s rare to experience such personalized hospitality, and it made a memorable impression on us.
Based on my positive experience, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Hongcun. It’s a unique blend of history, comfort, and genuine hospitality that truly enhances the visit.

AAnonymous UserEnvironment: The B&B is about 10 minutes' walk away from Hongcun. The B&B is in a small courtyard. Overall it is very nice and quiet. I like this environment very much.
Cleanliness: Our family booked a total of 7 rooms. When I stayed here, I felt that the bedding and all places were very clean! I have stayed in very good four- and five-star hotels and many B&Bs. It is no exaggeration to say that this B&B is the cleanest one I have ever stayed in! As soon as you fall asleep, you can tell how clean the bedding is. Later I learned that the owner of the B&B would go to the laundry room every time to urge the laundry people to be more demanding.
Service: Because the road in Hongcun is so narrow that large vehicles cannot enter, there is no way to pick up people. However, the boss pulled a tricycle to help us pick up and drop off our luggage when we went there and when we left. This is still very good. However, there were some minor frictions during the communication, but the boss later apologized. Overall, the service is pretty good. However, during the peak tourist season, there are only two people there, and sometimes the boss cannot be found and we have to wait. This is a slight drawback.

KKevfoong SGThe homestead is located inside the acenic area of Hongchun. It is very convenient to all the attractions and restaurants. You csn have a nice stroll after dinner.
The hostel is very 'Zen Style' if you choose for the 2nd hostel called 'Xindeng 心灯'. The room is huge and clean. There also offer nice chinese teas for enjoyment.
The homestead owner is also very helpful in arranging the transport for ferrying to the hostel and to another destination. However, it is much easier to communicate with the operator via Wechat which is local apps. Use Wechat to call for the transport arrangement for any purpose.
The only minor issue is the early distutbed noise of motors and residents will wake you up in the early morning of 6am. The homestead is just next to one of the main lane.

The location is great, just a few steps away from the entrance of Hongcun Scenic Area, and it is super convenient to visit. As soon as you enter the hotel, the design of the fusion of Huizhou architecture and Jiangnan garden style directly brings the ”poetic and picturesque Jiangnan” into reality. The room is clean and warm, the bedding is comfortable, and I slept very well at night. The service is also very considerate. The front desk helped plan the tour route and recommended authentic food. The breakfast is rich in variety and you can taste the local characteristics. Highly recommended to friends who come to Hongcun!

I give 4 stars on service and not 5 as I have been spoilt by exceptional service in other places where hosts gave explanations about the location or helped with practicalities. One tip: get rid of mosquitos before guests check in or provide a mosquito net above the bed.
