5-Star Hotels in Shenyang

Staying at the Hilton Shenyang Shimao during my trip to Shenyang, I'm incredibly grateful to Guest Relations Supervisor Alisa. My child had a minor bump while we were out exploring, and we casually mentioned it upon returning to the hotel. Alisa, upon hearing this, was incredibly thoughtful. She proactively brought over a simple first-aid kit and meticulously explained precautions. This small gesture really warmed our hearts. The room she arranged for us was also very comfortable. The hotel's location is a huge advantage, being very close to Zhongjie and the Shenyang Imperial Palace. It's super convenient for getting around and exploring, saving both time and effort whether you're visiting historical sites or shopping. The hotel environment is elegant, the rooms are clean and tidy, and the facilities are well-maintained. The attentive service coupled with the excellent location made our entire trip much more enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Shenyang.

The hotel room size was decent, but there wasn't even a small sofa. Before showering, my partner and I had to sit uncomfortably on two separate chairs, with no other place to relax. The pool was terrible – tiny and murky. The hairdryer was incredibly noisy and ineffective; I'd recommend bringing your own if you need one. What was both annoying and laughable was the mini-bar setup: four bottles of Pure Water Joy on the left with no price tags, two Voss bottles on the right, each with a price tag of 28. Inside the fridge were several bottles of Pepsi, 7-Up, and Watson's soda water, none of which had price tags. So, of course, after checking out, I received a persistent call chasing me for the soda water cost, insisting they had labels. They also mentioned a pack of Oreo cookies in the fridge that also had no price tag. This isn't my first stay at a Marriott property, but this was by far the worst experience, no exceptions! It was also one of the two worst experiences during my trip to Shenyang. I will not be returning. The only redeeming factor was the room service attendant – thank you!

Let's start with the positives: I always stay here when I come for concerts. It's very close to the stadium, which is super convenient. Wanda Plaza is right downstairs, and there's a snack street at night. Parking is relatively easy, and the service is great; they even upgraded my floor! Now for the less satisfactory points: I rarely leave negative reviews, but I really have to speak up about Wanda. Compared to other hotels of the same price and caliber, I can overlook it being a bit old, given it's a 2013 hotel. But you can't have things broken! That Grohe showerhead is completely damaged and hasn't been fixed. Don't they do regular checks? Is it acceptable if only one of the two heads works?? There were no welcome fruits, and the Coke in the mini-fridge was charged... Even budget hotels costing over 300 RMB offer free Coke in the fridge... To the manager who decided to charge for it, aren't you embarrassed? Also, Ctrip, you should really check out what perks people get when booking this hotel through other platforms like 'Xianyu' (free breakfast for two, 4 PM late checkout, executive lounge access, welcome fruits) for the same price. If you don't negotiate some upgraded member benefits, everyone will just book elsewhere... It's really bad!

The hotel is next to Beiling Park and is located in a garden with good greenery. The rooms are not big and the layout is compact. I would like to talk about the service in detail: First of all, the service at the hotel front desk is very good. The front desk manager also sent us to the room. Thank you very much! The room service is not satisfactory! We stayed for two consecutive days, and the cleaning lady threw away the food I bought the day before as garbage! The cleaning lady threw away the guests' food and was embarrassed to ask the aunt to compensate. It was quite disgusting! Secondly, the slippers for the second night were not put for us. I called the room service to ask for slippers. The lady in the room service didn't believe it and asked me to look for it in the room. The cleaning lady didn't put the slippers. I called after looking for it! I asked the room service to bring two bottles of water when she sent the slippers. The lady also told me that there were only two bottles of water in one room, and then she said as a charity that she would make an exception and give me two more bottles... Isn't this a five-star hotel? Hotels above four stars can add water for free! Even if you stay in a three-star hotel like Home Inn, you can ask for more water if it's not enough. Do you think that guests in high-end hotels have to drive out to the supermarket to buy water if they don't have enough water? There was a young girl serving the room very well, but the older one had a sullen face and an unpleasant attitude!

Stayed here for one night as a stopover on a longer trip. It seemed like there were a lot of business travelers. My friend recommended this place because of heavy rain; it's right off the highway and less prone to flooding compared to other areas. The staff were all very professional and courteous, quick to address any requests. The doorman in the lobby was very friendly and greeted me proactively. My 12-year-old child received a complimentary breakfast upon check-in. The breakfast was quite plentiful, and the wontons and 'jianbing guozi' (savory crepes) were delicious. The service staff were also very prompt in clearing tables. Some parts of the parking lot were under renovation, but there was still plenty of space. I didn't get my license plate scanned upon entry, but the security guard proactively lifted the barrier when I checked out. The hotel's facilities are a bit dated, and the room was still quite damp, so it probably needs a few more days to air out. The slippers provided were a bit uncomfortable. There are many dining options around the hotel, with a wide variety to choose from, all within walking distance. Overall, it's a good hotel.

Our entire stay was fantastic! I originally planned to just pass through, but because of this hotel, I ended up staying an extra day. First off, for those driving, make sure to take the left-hand lane marked for Jinjiang Hotel parking. You'll go down to the underground garage through two yellow rolling doors. I drove around three times trying to find it! The lobby manager, Manager Meimei, was incredibly nice. My child had a bit of a cold and couldn't have the air conditioning blowing directly on the bed, so she helped us change rooms. The breakfast service attitude was the best I've ever experienced at any hotel. The variety was rich. The first-floor restroom was under renovation, and I got my hands sticky with frosting. They went out of their way to get me wet wipes. A special thanks to Manager Liu Dan, who even gave my child a special little gift. It was a very pleasant stay.

The location is excellent, very close to Shenyang North Station, making high-speed rail travel incredibly convenient. The hotel itself is quite new, with a simple yet elegant design, and the lobby is spacious and clean. The room I stayed in was expansive, with soft and comfortable bedding. The soundproofing was good, allowing me to rest well after a day of travel. Bathroom facilities were well-maintained, and the hot water came out quickly. The breakfast offered a rich variety, including local Northeastern specialties, hot dishes, pastries, and beverages, all served in a clean dining environment. The staff were enthusiastic and efficient during check-in, responding promptly to requests. Whether for a business trip or a short vacation, staying here offers great value for money. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Shenyang.

The Westin Shenyang boasts an absolutely unbeatable location! Situated along the 'Golden Corridor' of Youth Street, it's north of the old city and south of the new. Getting to attractions like the Shenyang Imperial Palace or Zhongjie shopping street only takes about twenty minutes by taxi and costs just over ten yuan. There's a subway station right downstairs, making it incredibly convenient to reach Taiyuan Street and Xita. Plus, there's a Lawson convenience store on the first floor, perfect for grabbing snacks and drinks. Every corner of the hotel is picture-perfect, and the soundproofing in the rooms is excellent – you can't hear any outside noise. It's truly ideal for both business trips and leisure vacations!

The hotel's online advertising built up too much anticipation, leading to a significant gap between expectation and reality. I arrived at 10:30 PM, and the lobby was completely dark. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable, but the shower drainage was poor; water flowed from the shower enclosure directly into the toilet area. Since it was late and I was only staying one night, I didn't bother calling for service. The vanity area was also uncomfortably close to the bed with no privacy screen. As for the hot spring area, the water activities were fun and my child enjoyed them. However, the scrubbing area and lounge were very mediocre. If you're looking for a good scrubbing experience, I'd advise against it. There wasn't even any water available to drink in the scrubbing area. I finally found some hot water in the main hall, but the air conditioning wasn't sufficient, so I was constantly sweating. Free drinking water wasn't readily available everywhere. The dinner voucher from Ctrip was useless since I arrived so late. When I asked if I could use it the next day, I was told no, it was only valid for the same day – what's the point of giving it then? Overall, the indoor areas felt dim and disorganized, while the outdoor areas were clean, tidy, and interesting.

Wonderful hotel in Shenyang which is located next to the highway near the BMW plant, perfect for those who prefer driving or traveling by car. This hotel is also next to an interesting ant-themed amusement park, a China-Germany street, a BMX bike & skate park, as well as a huge ecological park with a winding river & islands which makes for a breathtakingly beautiful view from the room. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated with excellent facilities including a large indoor pool, gym & a delicious breakfast buffet in the mornings. We also saw a lovely wedding event & photoshoot being held here! Special thanks to Marie & Cici for making our stay so memorable, we were very pleased with everything & would definitely recommend this hotel.
