We've never experienced such friendliness and care before. Marina-san is a cool and energetic person, and her staff members are no different. The staff did above and beyond by anticipating all our needs and helping us visit many local attracttions. Kura Guesthouse is unique in how it connects the travellers to the local community, so almost every night we got a chance to meet young local people who come to the guesthouse just to hang out and practice English. Marina-san and her staff are the most amazing hosts we ever had. Every night we talked for hours with them and with other guests. The guesthouse is very accessible, only 40 minutes from Nagano by convenient public transport, and the local towns Suzaka, Obuse and Yudanaka have so much to offer that we felt like we just want to explore more and more. We stayed at Kura for 6 days, did nature hikes, saw beautiful temples and waterfalls, visited art museums and nice cafes, and there's still so much more to see that we couldn't fit in 6 days! Plus, there's a cafe run by Marina's mother and lots of tasty food at walking distance.

The rooms are clean and convenient. The bathtub is deep. The public bath is for men only, but they provide bath salts, so it was nice to be able to take a relaxing bath. It's also good that the breakfast menu changes when you stay for several nights. I was given a can of beer after I did some light cleaning for several nights.

This is a hot spring facility where you can take a day trip to the hot spring and stay overnight. Akebi-no-Yu is the only hot spring inn in Obuse, offering a spectacular view of the Northern Alps, the Hokushin Five Mountains, and Zenkojidaira. First, when I went to the bath area, I could smell sulfur. When I first went to the open-air bath, the water was cloudy. The indoor bath was a strange greenish color. I thought the bathtub had green tiles. After we meet up, are the open-air baths and indoor baths different hot springs? That's what he said. According to the inn's brochure, the hot springs appear in a variety of colors depending on the climate, from clear and colorless to green to cloudy. Since this is a day trip hot spring, only shampoo-in-rinse shampoo and body soap are available. There are no amenities in the washroom area. In the room I stayed in, there was a bag containing small cosmetics, conditioner, brush, toothbrush, etc. When I went to take a bath the next morning after 6 o'clock, there were quite a few people coming back for the day. Since it was a Sunday morning, I thought not many people would come to the day trip hot springs even after 6 o'clock, but they started coming one after the other. That's surprising. I think that's how good the hot springs are. Well, the room was a simple Western room, but it was spacious and had a spectacular view of the mountains from the window of the room. In the room I stayed in, there was a bag containing small cosmetics, conditioner, brush, toothbrush, etc. We had dinner in a large private Japanese-style room. It looked good, tasted good, and went well with local sake. The fried food was fried rockfish with black vinegar sauce, and since most of the rockfish were eaten grilled whole, it was unique and delicious because you could eat it from the head on. The one I had was grilled chicken on a ceramic plate with Shinshu miso, and it was a combination of sweet and salty miso and butter. The most expensive local sake was 890 yen (300cc), which I was happy about. The local sake from Obuse was delicious. The person in charge of the restaurant had very good customer service. We also had breakfast in a private room. The rice was delicious and the quantity was good, and we were served coffee at the end. It was an accommodation with good hot springs, a spectacular view of the mountains, delicious food, and good hospitality.

I should have booked ”no smoking” from the official site of the inn, but I received a ”smoking” in the reservation completion email, and I called the front desk while tilting my neck, and I received a guide that there was no non smoking room. Crying crying even though the budget is over＋ I switched to the room called J floor for 1,000 yen, and this was unexpectedly a ”hit” judgment. On the other hand, the J floor sells the good view, and the view is certainly good, but I think it is NG to ask for the beauty of nature (mountain and tree) because Nagano city itself is a city. ＜ The atmosphere of the whole hotel ＞ Because of the business hotel and the JAL series, there are many guests who seem to be business trips, and tourist guests are also more calm. Inevitably, the dining hall was also calm and quiet. ＜ Dinner ＞ 3 kinds of appetizers, fried fin soup, seafood, water dumplings, Shinshu premium beef suji steak, black fried soy sauce, almond tofu [Chinese full course] Both menus are delicious beyond the price It was not a feeling of ”excellent”, but it is arranged in the taste that everyone receives in the price that is sufficiently reached, and it is hard and delicious and the satisfaction is very high. Now there are some prefectures, and in the future, we will do it nationwide, so the restaurant here is absolutely the aim. If you say strong, it is not for those who want to peek into the dishes with young and giggling. ＜ Breakfast ＞ Japanese and Western mixed cherry blossoms with local ingredients Viking form Business hotels have a large number of items, and there is no misunderstanding in the range of eating. The dishes related to miso are using Shinshu miso and you can enjoy ”Nagano no Taste”, so I think you should try at least one kind. (I'm lost whether I can write my true sound, but it's better to eat at this hotel than eat at the outside shop) Nagano Station ～ Based on the good location between Zenko Ji Temple, I think it was a very good hotel. Next time I go sightseeing in Nagano, I will not dare to change the inn from here.

We stayed here at the end of our time in Japan as a treat and for the traditional Japanese inn / onsen experience and we certainly weren’t disappointed. The room was huge and the seating area was seamlessly converted for sleeping by the hotel staff while we ate our dinner. The food was traditional Japanese with seemingly endless small plates of delicacies (a similar story at breakfast). The onsen was fabulous - we used it 3 times in the one night we were there and loved it. All in all a great experience and lovely place to stay.

I stayed the night before the test. It was saved because it was a hotel that can park for free near the test venue. However, there are few convenience stores and places to eat around the accommodation, so I think it is better to buy it in advance or eat at the store adjacent to the hotel. It was along the national highway, and sometimes I heard the sound when a noisy car passed by. The building is old, but there was an air purifier and there were many outlets, so I was saved.

Nagano is a quiet city. The only tourist spot would be Zenkoji temple and chestnuts sweets. Choices of Restaurants and shops are not what tourists usually expect. This hotel is just right next to the JR and high speed train station or you could say “in the station” as there is a bridge connecting to the 2nd floor of the hotel ( reception at 1st floor). Supermarket at the station is small and just like convenient store. But there are souvenir shops in the station. So do consider and plan for dinner. The hotel also offer good deals for body massage services. In short this is a up to standard business hotel but not quite recommended for tourists.

We stayed here for a couple of nights and it was a really clean and comfortable hotel and just a 7 minute walk from Nagano Station, a 7 minute walk to bus stop 23 for the Snow Monkey Park and close to a variety of restaurants and bars. It is also 15/20 minutes to Zenko-Ji which is a beautiful Buddhist temple and well worth visiting. We didn’t have breakfast included during our stay but other guests said that it was really good. Our room was really clean, spacious and comfortable with a firm mattress, a tv, toiletries and a kettle. In reception you can help yourself to teas, coffee and other toiletries for free which was helpful. The staff were really friendly and patient as we don’t speak Japanese. Our room was next to the railway line but the sound proofing was excellent and it was so quiet and we had two good nights of sleep. A comfortable and clean hotel that is conveniently located for exploring Negano.

One of the better ryokan in Yudanaka, the price is very good, an average of more than 2,000 a night, enjoy the hot spring hotel experience of one bed and two meals. The hotel has many years of history, but it feels very new, not old at all, clean everywhere. The room is small with a small balcony facing the river. The clerks are of a certain age and have poor language communication, but there is no inconvenience and they are polite. The location of the hotel is good, it is about 20 minutes walk from the station by the road. The hotel can pick up from the station once for free. There are also buses passing by. The hotel is right at the hot spring street. It is very convenient to walk to the hot spring street, and it can also be sent to Yepi Park for free. The meals are rich and local, and the taste is not as good as that of other hot spring hotels, but in the private dining room, they have a good time.
