THE GOOD. The staff was very nice, friendly, helpful with what they could. Very good location, clean, silent. 10-15 walking distance from any interesting location. The restaurant was the best (I experienced) in town. There is a nice swimming pool, not warmed, too cool for end of May. Plenty of parking room!!! THE NOT SO GOOD. There is no room service, hence this is not a 4* hotel, as advertised. The dinning room is outside the hotel, so in a rainy day one has to walk and get wet. I would not want to fully dress during a winter stay just to have my morning coffee. In the room, the air conditioning worked as a fan. The safe was broken. The reception desk was kind, but could offer no solution. After two night, for extra pay, we got an ”apartment”, with a terrace without a table to put a glass on. The Venetian blinds were partially functioning. The air conditioning dead. The next day someone fixed it. In the bathroom one bulb did not work. I fixed it. The shower flexible tubing was damaged, it was difficult to hold it. In the rooms there were no paper an pen to take notes. The phone function buttons did not work, so I had to guess ”0” is the reception. The room had to entrances. One via the elevator, but they had only one key for two persons. The other, with an electronic key usable only after exiting the elevator and climbing the stairs one floor. As I said, this is not a 4* environment. The management should pay more attention to maintenance details. One day the restaurant staff were ”stiff” and stressed, very unusual. One whispered me ”The boss is here”. I was sad.

Excellent hotel - friendly staff, superb breakfast with delicious choices and great coffee. Ten to 15 minute walk to Piata Unirii - felt very safe at night walking thru a residential neighborhood. Contemporary design and extremely quiet - beds very comfortable! Stayed three nights and best sleep entire three week trip in Romania.

What I thought was a nice experience at Savoy Hotel turned out to be unnecessary stress and an awful experience. Everthing went well until we left and we received a very passive aggressive message written in a very unprofessional tone. We only stayed for one night, we discovered we had a small balcony so my mom went out for a smoke (outside in plain air with the curtains shut and the balcony door closed so that smoke won't get in). In the message we received we were accused of smoking INSIDE the room, which couldn't be more far from the truth. We were forced to pay a fine, because someone SAW my mom smoking, NOT because the room smelled badly or because it was dirty. They said they will have to relocate the next guests to another room which obviously is not necessary since the room doesn't smell badly, because I repeat the smoke didn't get into the room. We agreed to pay the fine just to get it over with, however the passive aggressiveness continued with them telling us that they will make an exception and they won't put us on a ”black list”. We have traveled for over 20 years all over this world and never were we accused of smoking inside the room, since it was always done om the balcony, if one was available. I was shocked by the lack of professionalism and the tone as they could have just mentioned the fine. however, they wrote a whole paragraph saying that if we don't pay the fine they would have to call the police and sue us. They have also explained that it wasn't in fact a balcony and that their rooms with balconies have furniture in them. Aparently furniture is what makes a balcony worth of the name ”balcony”. I now realise that probably they were upset that we didn't book a room with what they call a balcony that was obviously was more expensive and the fine became the money difference. :) I would like to mention for clarity that it was a clear space outside the room with an actual door, and it could easily fit two people. I regret not having taken any pictures to show you. Not to mention, we booked a triple room and there were only two sets of towels and toiletries and we were 3 people, so their service was far from perfect... Ironically, I have worked in the services industry for a while now and I have never encountered such agressiveness from the management team. If I ever were to talk like that to a client, I would lose my job. They will probably leave a very passive aggressive comment reply to this as well, so just be aware of that in case there are useless new accusations.

Wunderbarer Empfang, gute Kommunikation. Ambiente modern und außergewöhnlich sauber. Ruhig gelegen mit Grünanlage und Auto Parkplätze. Etwas Besonderes. Zu Empfehlen. Ich komme gerne wieder. Mit Taxi schnell erreichbar. Zimmer sind mit angenehmen Betten versehen. Bad elegant.

We have stayed at the Hotel Timisoara hotel many times in the past, and all the times we have been there have been good. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist, who helped us out. We had two rooms, they were both really nice. The beds were really comfortable. The spa area is really nice, and the pool is very good. The bar area was also very good, and the food there was really nice.

It was a pleasure to organize at NH hotel a business event. The events rooms were prepared with professionalism, the food, the staff, everything was at the height level. The most important thing was the appreciation of the participants in the event and receiving a lot of positive feedback's for the organization. I have chosen Mercure Timisoara and it was the best decision because this place really gave me the perfect accommodation experience. The hotel is perfectly located in a quiet area close to the city center and from the 4th floor (where my room was located) it offers a great view. The room was astonishing: spacious, modern design, all amenities needed and a large comfortable bed for an excellent sleep. On top of that, the technology inside the room was amazing because everything is digitally controlled using a tablet. I enjoyed the delicious breakfast that offered a lot of choices and all of them were great. There is an outstanding restaurant inside the hotel where I had both lunch and dinner and I can easily say I had a real international dining experience because the menu includes dishes from all over the world. Special thanks from my side to Mr. Florin Cojocaru (the hotel’s general manager) for his great hospitality, friendly attitude and willingness to help me with anything needed in order to have the perfect stay at the hotel. I highly appreciated that the management is really focused on creating the highest standards, so the guests can have the best experience during their stay at this hotel. Thanks to Mr. Cojocaru and his amazing team I had a wonderful accommodation experience.
