I recently stayed at Citadines Central Shinjuku and had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of Shinjuku, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the area. It's just a short walk to the Shinjuku Station, and there are plenty of restaurants, shops, and attractions nearby.
The room was clean and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The bed was cozy, and I appreciated the modern bathroom facilities. The free Wi-Fi worked well throughout my stay, which was a big plus.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. They provided useful information about the local area and were always ready to assist with any questions or requests.
Overall, I was satisfied with my stay at Citadines Central Shinjuku. It's a great option for those looking for a convenient and comfortable place to stay in Shinjuku. I would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

I stayed here for about five days and thought it was good. The atmosphere wa clean and nice, and I made some new friends. There are also bars (Golden Gai) just 70 meters away. For men, there is also a jacuzzi and sauna, which were great. On my first night in Tokyo, I rented a tiny room for double the price—I think I got way more for my money by staying here.
The only downside was that you have to check out at 10 and check in again at 14. However, that's not a big deal for me since I wake up early, go to the sauna, explore the city, and come back home at night. It was a bit of a drag, though, when out drinking until 2 AM. :)

Everything is perfect, except beds, too tiny for 2 ppl, just really was hard to fit into that space. Location is very nice, all shops, bars and restaurants are nearby.

This place is in the heart of Kabukicho. Tons of restaurants and shops around. Huge amount of traffic from tourists. The location is very good for the price. Station is about 10 minutes away on foot.
The hotel has its specific systems which might be strange for foreigners, but just follow them and you’ll be fine. I think the criticisms of this place are from people who are expecting western cultural norms or service. This is Japan, you’re a guest, follow the rules.
The spaces are very clean, I like the cafe as well. It’s definitely a good stay for solo travelers. You can leave your luggage at the front desk if you’re worried about security.

The check in lady (Indian looking) was not particularly friendly, poker face during the entire check in process and instructed us to push all of our luggage to the storage area, she should get the bell desk colleague to handle this instead, it’s a hotel at the end of the day. The lady in the evening handled our key collection was better.
A cockroach was found in the room, but the shower is the best I ever had in Tokyo.
Room size is bigger than the other hotels at its price and level.

Room was okay, just that there were holes in the room wall, like it was kicked or punched by someone. Good as you get to have your own microwave inside your room. Cleaning is done upon request. Must check their amenities as I got two shampoos instead, didn’t get body wash initially. Location wise, it is just a 15-20min walk to Shinjuku Station and Busta Shinjuku. Not recommended if you have big big luggages, but good to stay since quite near to Don Quiqote and few other shops.

Just staying for one night before our trip to Hakone. The cheapest room for one night was the smallest one but in general it's clean and comfortable with all the perks and necessary features. Only thing to pick on is that we took the NEx train from Narita Airport to the hotel and it's a long walk from the station' s south exit to our destination with two large suitcases.

The location is great, everything about our stay was pleasant. Well, almost everything, the room cleaning policy is questionable: they didn't take the trash out, but remade already made up bed, touching my pajamas, which is... ewww. Though, absolutely loved the fact that there was a laundry room available, wash&dry machines with automatic detergent dispenser were lifesavers.

Outstanding
GGuest UserI am a book lover myself, and came to stay here for 2 nights in March a week before Easter, mainly for the library theme and book selection. The hotel itself, the book lounge, and the book libraries on each floor was all very very good. However, upon my checking in, it was obvious that the male receptionist on the left pay more attention to Caucasian guests rather than me (an Asian solo female traveller). I had the impression they just wanted to get rid of me asap, and then served the Caucasian guests behind me.
During the whole of my check in process, no one mentioned anything about the special libraries on each floor, no one told me about the free beverages offered “at the far end corner for the reception desk”, and definitely no one mentioned anything about he QRcode library tour!!! I stayed for two nights and it was only after the first night (when I read the books inside my room that I knew of ANY of the services I mentioned above). Of course one may say I could read all those on the signage’s provided in the property. But then…
Upon walking into the reception desk the next day, I did hear the same male receptionist explained in great detail (everything I mentioned above)in English to other Caucasian guests.
I like the library premise of the property, the books selections were great, exhibition on the first floor was quite nice, however, I am not sure if I would stay for a second time, knowing how they treated solo female Asian guest whom they assumed was not civilised enough (that was my impression) to deserve a thorough introduction about this lovely bookish hotel from them. Quite disappointed to be frank, especially knowing how much history this hotel has included!!
SspyeeewThe location is superb. 3 min walk to train station and bus terminal as well as to big department stores hands and Takashimaya. Due to high floor, the view is great! But the service is so so. Requested for extra blanket and couldn’t be acceded unlike Sunroute across the road, the extra blanket was placed on the bed before check. Service definitely needs to be improved
WWinnie PPThe hotel is very close to Shinjuku Station, which made getting around Tokyo a breeze.
Convenience stores like Lawson and Family Mart are right next door, perfect for grabbing snacks or essentials.
The room had everything needed— phone cable, shampoo, and toothbrush etc —making it super convenient.
the staff were incredibly helpful in resolving a minor issue we had, which made my experience even better.
I’ll definitely stay here again on my next trip!
MMommy MaricelPerfect location for Tokyo marathon runners. It is just by the starting line. Everything was great. Room super spacious and clean . We had a fantastic view of the Metropolitan Building with led lights show. Food so good in the buffet. Service is excellent.
SSALLESWe had a nice stay at Washington Hotel Akihabara. The hotel is well located, nearby metro lines and local trains which allow us to easily move around Tokyo. Although the room is small, it is well designed and it big enough for few nights. The bed is not very large but comfortable. We managed to sleep with our 2 yo kid. You can also choose between soft or hard pillow. The bathroom was quite big with a nice bathtub. Around the hotel, you have plenty of restaurant and convenient stores. The buffet breakfast was great and everything we try tastes really good ! There is a large choice between Japanese food and wester food. Finally, there is a laundry area which was really convenient.
AAnonymous UserVery clean, spacious, the biggest room I got so far for single occupancy, able to open my suitcase n still got space to walk around comfortably. Very convenient just 7 mins walk to/from Ueno station or 4 mins to/from Okachimachi station. Kensei Skyliner to Narita airport just short walk from Ueno station. Good for last min shopping at Ameyoko Street (Uniqlo/GU, supermarket, Daiso, Donki, etc). Delicious & affordable Chirashi Don Sushi bowl (must have). They also catered free half portion ramen at night, yakult & ice sticks after Onsen (manga at the entertainment room). Definitely will stay again.
GGuest UserI love the location it’s super convenient. Staff are super polite and smiley.
Service wise is not good too many strange rules firstly, there is no phone in the room. In case u need one it’s near the elevator on each floor to speak to the staff.
The twin bed are way too big for us 2/3 of the room. I can’t even open my suitcase easily.
Only one elevator in this 14 storeys hotel right next to their emergency stairways. There is a sign saying if you are in a rush please use the stairways but we were on the higher floor and it’s so cold February a few degrees Celsius ???? Well no thanks I shall wait patiently then……
No daily cleaning service we stayed 5 nights the hotel offered one time cleaning during our stay. All the dirty linens and garbage have to be placed outside your door by 10am if new towels needed. Strangely one bottle complimentary water was given to 2 guests daily together in a bag of towels and slippers toothbrush garbage bags. Only one washing machine ¥600 35mins, dryer ¥300 60mins available (cashless payment only) Onsen too small and poor facilities.
AAnonymous Useri booked the triple room as it was the only room left. there was space for only 1 large luggage - the room was a little old but bed and duvet surprisingly comfy. onsen was small so it got a little crowded as the hotel was full that night. location was great - tho the nearest ikebukuro stn exit with lift, C9 (vs 20b), is a little further from the station. excellent authentic chinese food nearby (豪妈 on google maps), and a family mart just across the street. great hotel!
GGuest UserSmall clean room as expected but having to get your own amenities and very little around the area makes it purely for accommodation purposes. Though there are 2 lines of trains that are very close by it’ll take about 25 minutes ride to get to major Tokyo hotspots like Shibuya. McDonald’s right down stairs and a convenient store all accessible completely undercover was perfect for some of the rainy weather I experienced during my stay
