*This property is being renovated and under new ownership. We stayed for two nights in a spa/king suite. Pros; -The staff were all nice and professional when needed. -Although the property is from the 1970s, with lots of wood and rock structures, the setting, up in the trees, is nice. -Overall the property was very clean. -Our bed was very nice; not too soft or hard. Seemed new. -The hot tub/spa in our room was enormous and sat in the middle of the floor awkwardly like the room was built around it. The dials and all were very 70/80s but it had plenty of hot water to fill it and the jets were strong. -The fireplace was nice. We bought some fake wood logs and burnt them. -The bathroom was ok. The shower insert with a seat was nice, although the shower head came out very low on the shower wall. -The swimming pool was heated and really nice with a waterfall. The hot tub next to it worked really well. -Towels were readily available in the pool area. -There is a VERY NICE wedding venue (indoors) adjacent to the main building. -The front lobby gives you an AMAZING first impression. Very modern and updated and well staffed. -The breakfast is nice/basic; cereals, milk, yogurt, etc. No hot food. -The couch was very comfortable. -Having a Keurig/pods in the room is nice. Cons: *as I said this property is being renovated and some of these things will change, I'd hope. -various places in the room would have paint chipped off either the wall or the furniture. Those are easy fixes. New furniture would be nice. the dresser was pretty worn. -the refrigerator was missing a leg. It worked but it wobbled really badly. -The TV in the bedroom area worked fine but the picture was very grainy. -The TV in the living room area..Strangest thing. The TV sat on the stone fireplace mantle and had a cable tv coax ran into the wall behind the microwave next to it. But..the TV cord wouldn't reach and wasn't plugged in. No matter where you put it. It was as if 'here is a TV but it can't plug in anywhere to work'. So odd. -There are warnings everywhere about extra charges. More than a normal hotel/bnb. They tell you on the phone about extra charges for checking in early. In the room there are warnings about extra charges for animals or smoking in the room. - I didn't like not having a phone in the room to call the desk. If you need something you have to call on your cell to a number that puts you thru to another country and she was difficult to understand. Our room was far from the hotel front desk, It's a gigantic property. So we had to drive to the office if we needed anything. -There is not a place to hang clothes. There is a wall rack that's normally for hanging clothes but they've placed a table for the Keurig directly under it. Overall we enjoyed our stay there. We paid around $200.00 total for a Fri/Sat night. That's very reasonable. However, you give up some expected normals for that price range. I'd say give them a chance and stay there if you need lodgin

The trip started off BAD! We booked an ADA compliant room, first experience was the toilet only had 1 bolt that was loose! You would think anyone cleaning the toilet would notice, however I amost fell off the toilet. The bed was comfortable hence the 2 star rating. Breakfast was a joke, can’t even really call it breakfast. There was cereal, yougert, skim milk and toast. However, without utensils you could not eat the cereal or butter the toast.

I stayed here for a week, I left out today. Hardly anyone there, yet they overbooked our room and strangers walked in on us. Today we tried to load our vehicle and they deactivated our key cards early and then Sheila’s reply was “did you put them next to a cell phone?” Uhmm, no, one had never even been out of the folder. Then they overcharged us by 95+ and Sheila’s reply (whose name is on the merged reservations that caused the issue) was, you’ll have to get everything together and email it to us, I can’t do anything about charges even though her name was on the paperwork where the issue arose. She wouldn’t let me get a word in edgewise or look at it in black and white so now after an already stressful week, I get to go home and do her job to get my money refunded. I did show her briefly my first reservation charge vs what they charged me, that it was an overcharge and her reply was “oh sorry about that” but she didn’t fix it. The balance, minus the deposit, which I would have gladly paid at reservation time, was supposed to be charged at check-in but my cc company sent me a message saying it had been charged early that morning, prior to my arrival. We had to extend by day, 3 times on 3 separate reservations after the initial reservation ended. It appears that instead of pulling it into the system daily, it seems they cancelled one of them and merged 2 days together to shorten their work, but it didn’t refund the charges they’d already charged my cc and then merged the 2 nights together which then charged me yet again. Great bookkeeping protocol! When I asked for the owners name and contact information, Sheila said she did not have that. I asked for the new manager’s phone number but of which she would not give, only an email. I wanted to wait until the mgr was available and Sheila said I could go out and sit in my truck all day. So obviously the new management is not available. I have been staying here for years when I need to be in the area but I assure you that ended today!

Jenna was very rude. She put us in dirty rooms after “checking” to make sure they were clean.. We got there at 4 (check-in time) but couldn’t check in until 5:30.. We had no clean sheets towels or comforters and when i finally had enough of calling trying to get someone to answer I went down there at 1AM and she yelled at me. I got my refund back but they turned around and took my whole stay back out of my bank.. I wouldn’t waste my time here.

It was clean and quiet. Staff was awesome. Didn't like the shower. Since the room was for handicap the shower was a walk in. With no water pressure.

Let's start with waiting 45-50mins after check-in for a clean room. It was NOT clean. Was in building 4- had to put bedding at the door jam because of the chlorine from the pool making my eyes water. Can't call the office. And it is not near my bldg. Tried to call from the room phone - said that option is removed. Tried from my cell, no one answered. The shower curtain doesn't hold water in, so the floor was flooded. Put down a towel to find out how actually filthy the floor was. FILTHY. Thankfully, I brought slides and my own bedding. The sliding door to the balcony you could not see out it was so dirty. This property has so much potential. I understand it's under new management, but you need to close for the winter... deep, clean, and repair things. Hire more staff and reopen. It's not your workers' fault at all. You, as a manager, need to close and have this place cleaned and repaired. The grounds are beautiful, and it's a great location. Take shoes and your own bedding.

It took them 3 hours after the time to check at 4:00 in to actually check us in, they made us wait until after 7:00 because the clerk who was supposed to check us in had to go clean our room, and she said that we could not wait inside because she had to lock the lobby. We requested a ground floor room due to health issues and the room they gave us was on a second floor. I was afraid I’d have another 3 hour wait if I complained. The room was clean but weird, it was a suite but the door between the rooms was missing and the heater in the second room was broken so our room never got over 65 degrees because the heater in our room had to work and heat 2 rooms. I didn’t request a suite and didn’t request one, but by the time I actually got in the room I was afraid to complain and loose the room we were assigned.
