"It was a very mixed experience. The little container was sweet and very comfortable with the curtains closed. Bed and pillows were good quality.
Staff were lovely and very attentive.
The pool was busy with Muslims so I didn’t feel comfortable getting in it with my semi naked body. The container was right next to the pool so it felt very exposed especially when the pool was busy and who wants to close their curtains in the middle of the day?
I asked if I could swim once the pool was empty, however this was after 8pm and the pool was closed. This policy needs to be reviewed for residents of the pool side rooms.
It felt a bit like a halal leasure centre so that wasn’t relaxing when I was looking forward to hanging out at the pool.
The sounding area is beautiful and Taiping is beautiful.
Saying this it wouldn’t stop me from staying again. There were more positives than negatives."
"Hotel room ok , aircon good , breakfast good but can have more choices . Parking not many at hotel but can park a bit far away open car park also own by the hotel ."
"Great location to unwind from the town. The villa were nice for nature lover. I love the surrounding. If they advertise to attract many tourist, it should be great."

"The newly opened shop has very good service and great location. Taiping Lake Park is just outside the door. The breakfast is very clean and hygienic. The manager is a beautiful Chinese and the service is very good. There is also a Chinese uncle who is also good! Thank you for your warm hospitality and stay at your home next time you come to Taiping!"
"The house location is unique. So high, plus located near the mountain, bring cool breeze air in the morning & night. But quite hot during day time as it faces west. However every room has an air cond so it's ok. The beds are not really comfortable as all are old already, suit the price i guest. If the owner can provide mineral water or drink water filter, would be great. As it's quite hard to find in the area, even speedmart also sold out mineral water there 😂"
"Nice budget hotel in the town of Taiping. Easy access to many shops. Room is good for solo or couple. Basic amenities such as towels, coffe, iron is provided.
Also have surau at level 4"

GGuest UserGreat to be so close to the hawker food centres by the park. Quiet, pleasant and comfortable enough.
Clean, fast enough wifi and free parking.
Note there's no lift and do ask for a room facing away from the nightclub. We stayed on Monday and it was very loud til 1am ish.
Good to have water cooler and hot water for drinks on every floor but you have to leave your room to get it.
IIraAzieraThe area is beautiful.. the house is clean.. The courtyard is relaxing... I am satisfied, it is difficult to check in and out... I have to call and ask and it is like self service... So far ************** okay n quiet area....
GGuest UserCleanliness: Lobby: Dull and unkempt. Lobby toilet: Disgraceful. Dingy and wet floors. Surau: Pathetic. Smelly telekung and sejadah. Baroness: Fair. Swimming Pool: Dirty. Not been cleaned. Shower taps missing and not working.
Location: Excellent. Mins walk to Taman Tasik Taiping. 10-15mins walk to Bkt Larut trailhead. Less than 10mins drive to eateries.
Service: Front Desk: Lack of interpersonal skills. No greetings. No warmth to acknowledge or courtesy to offer guests with a smile, no gestures to offer guests to have a seat while they’re attending to another guests or preparing their check ins/check outs.
House Maintenance: ABSOLUTELY RUDE. He was called to unplugged the faulty bathtub plug.
Housekeeping nor hotel did not inform me that the bathtub can’t be used as a tub. *******!
Bell Boys: Useless. Didn’t offer any service at all.
Baroness Coffee House: Food spread is good but tasteless. They served poor low quality food. Frozen popiah, croissants, cucur badak and potato wedges. Stone cold pandan Cake straight from the fridge. Nasi Lemak Pandan didn’t smell pandan at all and used green food coloring instead. A huge pile of foods especially the Nasi Lemak was left uneaten due to the lack of quality. Food wastage is observed.
They really need to change the chef. Cik Liana 27.6.2025 portrayed professionally while listening to our constructive comments.
She wore gloves while serving, refilling and cleaning the tables. The other servers did not.
Amenities: Fair.
Overall the Grand Baron Hotel needs more uplifting. The entrance and facade is sad, dull and empty. Some greens and lightings would improve the look. The lobby is unwelcoming. I was told the GM Ms Yong hardly comes and obviously couldn’t care less about the well being of the hotel let alone the staffs.
MMohdSituated near Taiping Town, Sense Hotel offers comfortable stay at affordable price. It has mini gym & function room for guests.
It's located near main attractions in Taiping, such as Taiping Clock Tower, Burmese pool, Taiping Zoo & Night Safari, Taiping Lake Garden & Botanical Garden and Taiping. Plus, its a stone throw from local shopping malls (Taiping Central, Lotus) and public transport stations (KTM Komuter Utara, Kamunting Bus station)
Looking for foods? It's close to cafes and local eateries areas.
FFlyingNoodlesThe hotel offers clean and spacious rooms with good service from the front desk staff. Its strategic location is a major plus, as it’s close to many great dining options. However, the soundproofing could be improved, as external and neighboring noise can be disruptive.
Aahmad zakiA few improvements need to be upgrade for guests comfort....there is no dustbin in the room only in the bathroom....no hooks or rack to hang clothes , towel ...
GGuest UserThe person in charge at the counter had a great attitude when checking in and out the hotel. The room was clean and had hairdryer and all the necessary things. Location was great.
HHanis AzmanThe place was nice, just that on check out day it was quite noisy outside as there's a shooting 🤣 but other than that, all good. Need to pay for parking ya if going on weekdays, can install the Park@Perak app to pay.
