The hotel bills itself as a 4 star, which it definitely isn't. It's between a 2 and 3 star UK hotel. The location was OK but given that the food wasn't up to much (more of that later) there were only a couple of restaurant alternatives within walking distance without going in to Sorrento. My room was OK as I was given a double for solo occupancy so had plenty of room. The bed was comfortable enough but I did wake up feeling achy a few days, which doesn't happen normally. The pillows were strange as one was super firm and the other super soft - I suppose to give you a choice and I could have asked for more. The wifi was almost non existent most of the time that I was there, which is very frustrating given the reliance of a lot of services e.g. the travel company app being only accessible online. It also makes it very difficult to do local research to find out what to see and where to go. The staff were very friendly even if they weren't the most efficient. Given that they entertain a lot of British guests the level of English was below what I expected as, sadly most Brits don't speak Italian. The food at dinner can only be described of extremely poor quality in terms of taste, standard of cooking and the varying levels of warmth from lukewarm to cold. The potatoes were invariably undercooked with the other part of the meal usually overcooked and rubbery. There was also a distinct lack of vegetables, green or otherwise served with the main meal. In the end I gave up and went out to eat as wanted some hot tasty food. Overall not a hotel i will be dashing back to if I find myself in this area again.

Clean hotel we had a good sized family room with large balcony. Good housekeeping, lovely pool which was really quiet when we visited in April. Great views across to Vesuvius and easy train into Sorrento, Naples and all the historic sites but the trains can be busy and we were slightly early in the season! Breakfast is buffet style and good, evening meal is not buffet but can choose the night before was good food but some nights the options were limited, and no kids options, you pay for all drinks including water. Helpful staff…oh and they don’t take card payments so get your euros ready!

The hotel is absolutely amazing. Big swimming pool area with jacuzzi. Hotel rooms are big enough with beautiful views. The food was delicious. They have open breakfast buffet and 3 meal course for dinner. Staff are very friendly and very welcoming. Vincento, Antonnio,Luigi and Elza and reception staff thank you all for your kindness and professionalism. Emilia

Stayed here for 10 days and overall it was good. Super efficient check in process, took less than 5 mins which is always good after a long journey. Rooms were basic but clean and had everything you needed - fridge/ safe/ hairdryer/ really good air con (which we used a lot during the heatwave!) and the rooms also have usb ports and multiple plug sockets to suit different countries (no need for adaptors!). The pool area was nice and always plenty of sun loungers. The food was pretty average. Some nights were very good and others not so good. They hosted a BBQ one night which seemed to go down well with everyone. The 3 course menu was limited at times and there were a couple of night where we struggled to find anything we liked. Please note that the starters are very big portions (a full sized pizza for example). The pizzas are amazing here so I would definitely recommend trying one. Most of the staff were friendly (big shout out to the restaurant staff and cleaners who were always pleasant). Reception were not helpful and just wanted our money. They even overcharged us for train tickets as there were communication barriers. I found this strange for the hospitality industry. The free shuttle bus was good and we went on the Jet 2 free walking tour which was amazing! Highly recommend doing that tour. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and made the most of it.

Read the reviews begore coming and had a few reservations, but most of these dissapated throughout the week. The room was clean and had a fantastic view. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and always had a smile. The food was nothing to write home about but no where near as bad as some reviews, not sure what some people expect for a 3 star hotel... the food was fine, not great but perfectly edible, considering the price of nearby restaurants and the extortionate cover charge applied at restaurants in the area. Very pleasant stay and good location with the train a 5 minute walk away. Would stay again and recommend.

We visited as a family of 4 in the October half term. First impressions as our transfer dropped us off were ok, but not blown away. Inside the reception area was spacious and clean, and check-in was efficient. Our room was perhaps a little dated, but spotlessly clean - this was our first visit to Italy though, so I have nothing to compare the style against. The view from the balcony was spectacular, and we were only on level 1, with Vesuvius straight ahead across the bay of Naples. There is a busy main road outside, but we found this gave atmosphere rather that annoying, and it couldn’t be heard inside with the door shut, but in any case as the evening went on, the noise subsided anyway as the traffic got less. The only slight disappointment here is that balconies with sea view don’t get the sun on them as it rises and sets behind you - not a massive issue for us, but might have been had I have been there for a week in Summer (which I wouldn’t want to do anyway). Beds and pillows were comfortable and there was ample storage space. Pool area is lovely, although the water was freezing cold, but I guess thats to be expected at the end of October. The toddler pool did look green though, and curiosity got the better of my 13 year old who wanted to see if it was any warmer, but when he got out of the water, the white bits of his shorts had turned yellow - my guess is that this is from too much chlorine in the water, although the lady on reception disagreed when I bought it to their attention (since rectified at home by soaking in white vinegar - who knew!!). The restaurant area lacked atmosphere, with stark bright lighting in the evening, and no background music, so all you hear is the echo of knives and forks and the clattering of plates. My understanding is that it is buffet style in the summer months, and A la Carte towards the end of season when we visited. Dinner is served 7-9pm, and this is where my main issues with the hotel are… they cater for weddings, christenings and parties (they have at least 2 other large function rooms aside from the dining room along with a covered gazebo style area by the pool) and there was a Christening on our first day), so they are clearly used to mass catering. Our evening meal had to be ordered in advance - the following nights menu is on your table for you to order the night before, so you are literally eating one meal but having to order what you want 24hrs later! Dinner was bought to our table quickly and efficiently, almost too efficiently, as we hadn’t even received our drinks on the two occasions we dined there. There is supposed to be a “rich vegetable buffet, served hot and cold”, but when we dined at 8pm, nothing was/had been refreshed, so all that remained were a few carrots and some cold beans. The cooked food that is brought to your table was pretty good, but not plentiful, so the lack of vegetables did still leave us a little hungry when we finished. Options for desert were cake or i
