Azores Youth Hostels - Santa Maria

Among the youth hostels already frequented, it is one of the best. We had a room on the 2nd for the 4 of us overlooking the swimming pool with a balcony, quiet (the rooms on the cobbled street side must indeed be noisy). Beds are so comfortable. The TV lounge is spacious with soft sofas. Men's bathrooms on the first floor, women's on the 2nd. The 2 shower cubicles have a common entrance The welcome at the reception is warm. Breakfasts are included. The rate of 25*4 or 100€ per night is adapted. Rental of towels in addition. The swimming pool is very pleasant in August. It's just a little too hot at night, even when sleeping with the window open. A fan would be welcome.

Due to our arrival at the airport, we are already there in the morning and receive a friendly welcome. Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to move into our rooms, but we can check in and store our luggage. We explore the surrounding area until the early afternoon and look forward to a fresh bed to rest in between. Altogether we are two nights in this hotel. The rooms are simple and only some have a private bathroom. The beds are very soft or maybe rather worn out. There is no TV or radio in the room. There are common rooms with magazines, books, TV and table football. Free WiFi is available throughout the building. The breakfast buffet is simple and offers everything to get you going in the morning. The space provided for this is directly adjacent to the terrace with pool, where you can also sit at one of the tables for breakfast. The pool is functional and is cleaned of blown leaves every day. The views from the pool and terrace over the harbor and out to sea are exceptional. Overall the hotel, rooms and common areas are clean and functional. The staff is friendly and helpful. The price/performance ratio is okay. For a short stay, as a base for a few excursions, we are happy to recommend this youth hostel, which lacks a bit of youthfulness.

Very clean hostel! Very welcoming and available staff! The pool is a big plus. A little away from the center but it's a good compromise for small budgets.

Funcionários super simpáticos, pequeno almoço muito bom, quartos excelentes, faltava só o ar condicionado, com quatro pessoas tornasse demasiado quente e impossível conseguirmos se manter no quarto para dormir, de resto parabéns pela localização

Réservation de 2 chambres doubles en juillet. Les chambres sont assez spacieuses et propres. Les espaces communs sont agréables et appréciables, notamment la terrasse et la piscine. Il manque, toutefois, un espace libre cuisine avec frigo, ce que l'on trouve normalement dans les auberges de jeunesse...

Local pacato, tranquilo. O pequeno almoço é simples, tem o básico. O quarto duplo era grande, estava limpo, as camas são horríveis com buracos devido ao desgaste das molas. Muito desconfortável para uma boa noite de sono. Tem uma boa vista para a marina e montanha. A sala comum não foi limpa em 3 dias, pois um sofá , a carpete e uma mesa continuavam com sujidade (migalhas e unhas).

Super vriendelijk ontvangst! Heerlijk en uitgebreid ontbijt. Prachtig zwembad. Mooie en schone kamers. Gedeelde badkamer maar heren en dames wel gescheiden. Zeer behulpzaam personeel. Fantastische ligging en goed bereikbaar met uitstekende parkeergelegenheid. Dorp is lopend goed bereikbaar.
