An established upscale hotel with a rich breakfast spread. The decor and facilities are a bit dated, but it's right across the road from the beach. Overall, it's very good.

The hotel is located on main street with food access to the big bridge that connects the villa velha. Not so far away is little favela but if you go the city is a good area. The hotel is designed in 2000 year style so is not super modern but is not vintage. The wet sauna and small swimming pool is a plus. View from the 4th floor is half residents buildings and half mountain, which is the best spot for a picture in the hotel.

Checkin could be faster (it took us almost 30min), albeit they were on a very busy day. Breakfast was included and it was AMAZING. Room was clean but not exceptionally clean. Overall it just looks like the hotel had seen better days.

I booked a double room and when I arrived I discovered that the bed was actually two single beds that had been pushed together. I went to celebrate my anniversary and had to sleep with a hole in the middle of the bed. When I checked in I was informed that the hotel was full, and since I had already removed all my clothes from my suitcase, I didn't contact the reception, especially because it is the hotel's responsibility to ensure that the bed assigned to me will be the same one that was reserved. I also found the air conditioning to be weak, as if something was blocking it. The breakfast, especially the sweet options, were not tasty and left much to be desired.

The hotel is well located and has excellent facilities, with renovated rooms, spacious bathrooms and comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet is complete (a wide variety of drinks) and, as a courtesy, there was sparkling wine and flavored water in the afternoon at the reception. The rooms with a view of the bridge with Vila Velha are charming and stand out. However, the cleaning left something to be desired. We spent Friday through Sunday without our room being cleaned because the cleaning on Saturday was late (we left in the morning and, when we returned, it had not been done). The person in charge even volunteered to do it, but it would have been uncomfortable with us in the room and we decided to leave it as it was. In any case, a positive review, classified as "good-excellent".
