This month-long Tibetan car rental self-driving tour, deliberately drove down the mountain from Everest base camp all day and arrived at the atypical Tibetan border town of Yadong County in the evening. Although it has been many years since the confrontation between the Chinese and Indian forces in Donglang region in 2017, it is still the first time in my life that I feel the tension of the war! There are slogans and propaganda paintings everywhere to be vigilant about protecting the country. The streets and alleys and many vehicles are also full of Chinese flags, and many military vehicles and fighters can be seen. Although China is a big inch of land! Historically, silence and tolerance have been full of pride! Yadong County is too different from other places in Tibet, unlike in Tibet, it is more like Shennongjia in Hubei! The surrounding mountains and forests are lush and cloudy, and the Yadong River rushes through the city. There are white towers in the city to remind people that this is Tibet. This time, due to time constraints, I did not participate in the free day trip to Yadong County organized by the Yadong County Cultural Tourism Bureau (otherwise, I will stay in Yadong County for one more night, and the trip to Metuo County will be delayed by two days), and I will not be able to visit Yadong virgin forest and Linhai Galaxy Waterfall. (Self-driving tour is not allowed to pass the border checkpoint) A little regret, but Yadong County has left me deeply India! The hotel is on the side of the road.
