Meitoya So

Yamagata|1.52km from Torikabutoyama
The second stop came to the Tibetan King Hot Spring in Yamagata County, and stayed in two hotels. This one has a free open-air style. 📍 Location: Located 15 minutes away from the bus stop, located on the top of the mountain, you can make an appointment for the hotel car to pick up and drop off to Yamagata Station, but we completely forgot, there is no appointment, we push our luggage up the mountain to the physical and mental fatigue 😩! 🤵🏻 Service: I wanted to store my luggage when I checked out, but the staff insisted on picking up the group on the same day. I was afraid that there was no vacancy and I didn't want to 😒. I annoyed for a few minutes and gave up. Although I had a good attitude, ☹️ I felt that I couldn't do small things. 🏠 Room: One night double room with breakfast HKD898.41 + JPY300 ( Hot Spring Tax) Advantages: The room is big enough, using tatami floor ☺️, and has already made a bed, set up a separate bathroom 🚽, no need to share, the decoration is traditional Japanese style and wind design. The hotel has an elevator 🛗, you don't need to carry your luggage upstairs. The hotel lobby is spacious and comfortable, with a small shop selling hand letter, and you can rest and stroll after soaking in the hot spring ♨️. Disadvantages: There is only one elevator 🛗, it takes time to wait, no more. ♨️ Hot spring: 😍 The female soup is big enough, there is an indoor and outdoor soup, the outdoor soup is thinner, and it can only accommodate four people. Fortunately, only me and my family were there, so I could book the venue, and the spring water was milky white, filled with a strong sulfur taste, also known as ”beauty hot spring” 🤩, soaking really felt good skin.

I did n’t order breakfast so I do n’t know, this is a Japanese-style bed, you can have as many beds as you like, but I do n’t know if I will check you if you stay too much. I have n’t cleaned it for a long time, but I did n’t clean it when I checked in. There are also cups. There are 4 cups in the row above the refrigerator, which seem to contain a total of eight cups of water. In a wooden cabinet, there is no sterilization effect. I use The finished cup was put in directly the next day. I do n’t wear lipstick, but I will apply lip balm at night. The next day they put towels and bath towels to change water and cups, but in fact the cups just help you put them in the cabinet. There are my lip balm lip prints on the cup, water traces on the cup, dried water traces, and it feels dirty than the cup. I only use hot water to burn it. The front desk for men in their 60s is impatient. This hot spring cannot be used outdoor at all. The water is shallow. The boy next door is a connected pool and can see each other. Japanese people ca n’t wear clothes in the hot spring. The outdoor hot spring is really furnished and not good-looking. Indoors The female hot spring is OK, the glass is transparent, at least you can take a hot spring to see the snow, the price is more expensive than the Yuchi Seven Hot Springs, and the hot springs are not as good as there. There is also a small convenience store with a small amount of fruit, apples and oranges for sale.

Matsukaneya Annex

Yamagata|2.04km from Torikabutoyama
The location of the hotel is convenient. It takes about 30 minutes by bus from Yamagata Train Station to the hot spring hotel. When I was worried about carrying large luggage to the hotel, I saw the Shuttle Bus picked up by the hotel staff as soon as I got off the bus. I was really pleasantly surprised. In addition, the hotel is only a 10-minute walk away from the ski lift station. If you don’t want to go to the ski resort, the hotel has Shuttle Bus every morning and afternoon to arrange transfers. Just pay attention to the timetable. The hotel actually has a variety of room types, but the room we booked is on the first floor. The room on the first floor is set in the west building. There is no elevator to reach the room. It is quite difficult to carry large luggage to the room. There is no separate toilet and bathroom in the room. The decoration is a bit dilapidated, and the public toilets are small in size. If they are obese, they can’t get in at all. As there was no room category to choose from when booking, I felt a little overwhelmed when I arrived at the store. The room we booked includes 1 night and 2 meals. The food is delicious and exquisite. After staying for 4 consecutive days, the food is different every day. With the value of our reservation, the price is really high. The hotel service is first-rate. During the time, my friend slipped and broke her ankle bone in the parking lot. The hotel staff immediately called her ambulance to the hospital. After she was discharged from the hospital, she also carefully arranged wheelchair transportation. At the same time, we arranged for friends to stay on the elevator floor and have separate toilets for free. Room. Since friends need to return to Hong Kong for medical treatment early, the hotel specially arranges vehicles to be sent to Yamagata Airport (the traffic is of course charged, but the price is very reasonable), so that friends can feel at ease during the process. I would like to express my sincere thanks to every employee of the hotel for their enthusiasm and care, and fully appreciate the high-quality service level and the strong human touch. As for the open-air hot springs, they may be closed due to bad weather, and there are free massage chairs in the bathroom for free use by customers. Compared with other hot spring hotels, most of the massage chairs are made of materials, and they feel generous and considerate and worth recommending.

Forest Inn Sangoro

Forest Inn Sangoro

Yamagata|0.56km from Torikabutoyama
Friends booked us in at Sangoro so we could ski in / out... and it truly is ski in/out... not like places at the bottom of the hill where u can only ski in/out if there’s a decent amount of snow. Sangoro is at mid-mountain, so if the resort is open for the winter season, you can ski in / out of this hotel. The disadvantage of being at mid-mountain is that there is only Sangoro there and you can’t leave / get back there from The main village after 5pm. So all your evenings are spent at the hotel. It wasn’t a problem for us, but I think you’d get cabin fever if u stayed there too long. They have a reasonable dinner menu that is mostly Japanese but has a few western and vegetarian options (spaghetti with soy meat and margarita pizza). They have a soft drink machine and soup machine which are free for people staying there (all u can drink). There’s also a pool table, table tennis table, a few games and a massage chair u can use (the massage chair is quite good after a day on the slopes). The bathrooms are Japanese (shared) but you can only use them between 7-9am and 5-10pm... only showers can be used in the morning but they fill up the big hot baths in the evenings. The women’s bathroom is down on the lowest level, so you have to go down 2 or 3 flights of stairs to get there. Men’s bathroom is on the main floor, with the hotel rooms 1 and 2 floors above. There are no elevators, so you need to be ok with climbing the fairly steep stairs and carrying luggage up/down. They have a drying room on the lowest level for ski gear, but someone kept opening the window in the room so it was always very cold in there (no point putting your stuff in there to dry). One thing everyone in our group complained about was the beds and/or pillows... not comfortable at all! I had poor sleep as I had to keep rotating all night or my arm or leg would go numb. The people working at the hotel are really nice. Some of them speak better English than others... we didn’t have any language issues but we did have a couple of people in our group who speak good Japanese, which was helpful for anything complicated. To get to the hotel you have to catch the Chuo Ropeway up to mid-mountain and get the hotel to pick you up in their special car (on tracks to drive on the snow). If you need lift tickets it’s a little cheaper to purchase them from the hotel but you. I enjoyed my time at Sangoro (except the beds), but it’s not somewhere I’d stay for a really long time due to its remoteness (there are really good and not so good things about being isolated on the mountain).
Mori No Hotel Waldberg

Mori No Hotel Waldberg

Yamagata|1.54km from Torikabutoyama
Japanese style tatami hotel. Old-fashioned room, more spacious. There are toilets and bathrooms in the room. There are also public indoor and outdoor hot springs. Similar to other traditional Japanese hotels. Because I came here for skiing, I just want to talk about the food and location in particular. Meals in Japanese-style hotels are fairly average. Sooner or later it is Japanese style. The Japanese breakfast has salad, cold fish pieces, and hot snacks, mainly rice and miso soup. Many Chinese are not used to it. Other Japanese-style hotels I have stayed in will have Japanese and Western-style options. Dinner is still Japanese, I have eaten three kinds, roast beef, too little, beef quality is average. The sukiyaki pot is generous and the beef taste is average. Hot pot means that the sukiyaki pot does not contain the sukiyaki sauce, and the dishes are exactly the same. The food is lacklustre. Location, although going out to cross a bridge is the snow field, down to the No. 3 and No. 31 cable cars. However, because of the lack of snow this time, the No. 29 cable car and the snow track were closed (this is the only way to slide back), so it is impossible to slide back. At the same time, because the No. 3 and No. 31 ski trails are relatively isolated, it doesn't make much sense to go out. So sliding in and out is actually not very good. Fortunately, the hotel is very convenient to use a car. It can take you to where you want to go at any time and pick you up at any time on the phone, so it is not a big problem. Walking down the hill from the hotel is the Lawson Supermarket, which is estimated to be only 300 meters away. When you come back, you should call a car to pick you up because the snow is uphill.

Zao Onsen Omiya Ryokan

The location is a bit far from the gondola station. Close to the slopes, suitable for skiing. Good quality for breakfast and dinner. Japanese-style rooms are relatively small. Shuttle service is good. Suitable for family travel.

The service was very good. Although I knew beforehand that the hotel staff could call us to the Zao bus station to drive us to the hotel. The hotel staff picked me up with my name tag, Still moved. It also picked us up for free to other attractions in Zao. The hotel's catering service was great and the hot spring facilities were good. Although the hotel's equipment looks a bit old, it matches the theme of the snow scene and its own hot spring hotel, but it has a unique flavor. On the day I left, I missed some items in the room. I left Yamagata at that time, so I emailed the hotel, and the hotel quickly delivered my leftover items to my next hotel. thank you very much!
Zao Kokusai Hotel

It takes 10 minutes to walk from the Zao bus station to the hotel. You can call the hotel car to pick it up, but the hotel is the closest to the gondola lift. It is very convenient. The hotel meals are great. To add dinner, 6600 yen per person after tax. The dinner is very rich and there are Yamagata cows. The hot spring is also a milky sulfur spring. The skin is smooth after soaking. , This shop has been recommended to friends!

We stayed for 2 nights with two couples from June 18. The room was a large room of 30 square meters of Japanese bed on the 3 floor, and there were 2 elevators, convenient, old and weak feet. Dinner was delicious for two days with a great kaiseki dish with a good appearance and a variety of ingredients. The hot springs were in the inner bath and the open air, respectively, with a milky white bath with a rich sulfur fragrance. I was able to use it in a cheap plan, but I want to take care of it again next time.

The only owner of the hotel is an old couple, and they are very nice people. The boss can speak a little English. The hotel is on a hillside, so it's best to call the boss to pick him up by car. It will be difficult to climb the hill by yourself with luggage. Dinner was at a nearby restaurant, and the owner drove us there. To soak in the hot spring, the boss drove you to the nearby Genchi Hot Spring, which is not in the hotel.

We went as a group of 5 to snowboard and the location was perfect, 7 min walk from chairlift 4, they also offer special deals for daily lift passes and nearby rental shop (Best Rental Shop) which was great! Fantastic onsen in the facilities open 24 hours every day (2 public and 3 private was available) was perfect for our aching bodies! The best part were the staff in particular a very cheery waiter who always delivers breakfast and dinner service with a smile! Food was delicious and showcased all the best seasonal local foods. While reception staff were not well rehe****d in english they tried their best to assist us as best as possible. They are slightly short staffed on front desk/in the shop but we were never really rushed for service and a bit of patience meant everyone is happy and you were eventually seen to! Our room was simple japanese style room with futons but very large for 5 people with nice views. We would absolutely come back here it was a very enjoyable stay!
