Nice chalets but the site is run down. There is no clubhouse or facilities on the site. There is a shabby old building in the middle of the site that looks an eyesore. Not far to walk to the beach or zoo. The road is very dangerous when driving out of the site there is a mirror to view traffic, but due to vehicles driving very fast I would recommend only turning left when leaving the site. There should be a speed hump placed outside the entrance to the site to make traffic slow down and making if safe for vehicles leaving the site.

We stayed in this clean, perfectly situated chalet for 4 nights. A short walk takes you on a beautiful coastal path, it’s an excellent base for touring the island and the beach a short stroll away is second to none. The hosts Sarah & Paul are just a text away. The chalet has everything you need. We loved it.

Very unclean, tired room with wallpaper coming off the walls, threadbare carpet, windows covered in fingerprints and obviously not cleaned for weeks, dust and hair everywhere and the bathroom was just shocking! Water coming out of the shower was constantly changing from freezing cold to burning hot, we had no way of controlling it. My daughter and I felt very uncomfortable and won't be returning or recommending this place.

We visited with 16 year old and 10 year old. Chalet 140 at Sandown Holiday park was clean and is in lovely peaceful location. Large green space in front of the chalet and lovely cliff walk is at short distance from where you can see the beautiful sea. Kitchen is well equipped and the hosts, Jim & Maria had left their contact information and a guide to Isle of Wight in the kitchen which was very helpful. It is a cosy little chalet, even though it was raining whole day, we still had fun. The beds and sofa bed were very comfortable. The chalet does not have WiFi but there was a DVD player with some nice movies and books to read for younger ones. The hosts did get back to us straight away once we messaged them. We had a lovely time.

Very unclean and tired place, not what I was expecting for the premium price paid compared to other local B&Bs. Breakfast was very limited and not as advertised, supposedly heated pool was very cold, bedroom had threadbare carpet and was very unclean even though an extra deep clean was promised. All in all a very disappointing 2 nights away, definitely cannot recommend this B&B.

AWFUL!!! DONT DO IT!!! I give this place at best 2** fine if your happy for somewhere to lay your head after an alcohol infused night out but if you actually care 100% about comfort cleanliness a GOOD nights sleep AVOID at all costs. The beds should be in a skip Go camping instead save yourselves the over inflated price

Booked for 4 nights for the scooter rally , I can only comment on our allocated room which was room 5 , Carlo was friendly and showed us around upon our arrival ,pool looked nice , communal fridge was a good idea , pool table and ping pong another plus , but sorry to say our room was really not up to scratch , we overlooked the pool with sea view , but unfortunately we could not see this as the double glazed windows had blown and were full of condensation / moisture, wallpaper was coming away in places , worn carpet ,shabby spare duvet in top of wardrobe as were the curtains , sheets were clean but rest of the room could have been cleaner , as I say can't comment on rest of hotel or service as we decided to find alternative accommodation after viewing our room , not being vindictive or pedantic and understand ramifications of covid ,just an honest review . We stayed for two nights at end of our holiday as we extended our time on the island but where we stayed couldn't accommodate us for another two night but after staying here I'm glad they couldn't. Sarah and Carlo made us feel very welcome and couldn't do enough for us. Staff were always smiling, chatty too and always asking us if we needed anything else. Their kids played with the other kids too like they had been friends for years. Don't get me wrong this place isn't the Ritz and we didn't expect it to be but its very very homely and you feel like you are staying in someones home, it's brilliant. Its's a bit tired in places but they arent a big corporation and with covid etc last year it would have been hard to it massively with no cash flow but they do their best in a difficult time but you can see where they have started. Rome wasn't built in a day. Best bits for us were the views from our rooms, the heated pool, the laid back friendly atmosphere from owners and staff and the full English in the morning. We hopefully will be back in the next few years for a longer stay next time.

Wow!! What a place!!! We had the most amazing weeks stay at Sandown manor. From the moment we stepped in we knew it would be home from home and we were right! Carlo and sarah were great hosts. Every staff member there work really hard and st the highest standards. What a gem of a place. Our children loved the pool and the ping pong. It just was very friendly. We can’t thank them enough for making our family holiday amazing!
