We booked the Melia Purosani directly through their website for a number of stays as it provided a good value price which included a 10-minute massage per room booking, a discount on food, and a room upgrade. On our first stay, we were upgraded to a ”Level” room on the sixth floor which came with Level Lounge privileges including afternoon tea. Having re-booked for three separate nights our expectations were that we would receive the same benefits. It seems our first stay involved a better-than-usual upgrade and we were very embarrassed to be turned away from the Level Lounge on our next stay - despite being in a Level Lounge room. Live and learn! The hotel is in good condition, the rooms are well-presented. Reception staff is courteous and helpful, and so too was the concierge at the Level Lounge who ”righted” the embarrassing situation we faced. The gardens and pool area are tropical, leafy, and well-maintained. Wi-Fi was adequate, but not super fast/ The property is within easy walking distance of Jalan Malioboro and other local attractions. I have rated the hotel's less-than-excellent restaurant El Patio separately. Truth be told, service and afternoon tea in the Level Lounge was superior to the restaurant.

I booked a 5 star hotel to ensure there are the full facilities. When I arrived the pool and gym were under maintenance. I complained to Trip as they and the hotel should inform guests of this when they book. When Trip raised this with the hotel, the hotel refused to offer any level of compensation. So for this reason, they receive a low score. I also told Trip they need to change their T&C’s.

This is a fancy place in a historical building in walking distance from the historical city centre. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the cuisine is excellent and the breakfast buffet wowed us. Food is served i.a. on an inner court, which is peaceful and quiet, away from the street noise. The pool, lays protected, and doesn’t have direct sunlight as of noon, which comes handy since these are the tropics.

Staying in this Hotel is one of the best experience I had. Name of this hotel become EMERSIA HOTEL MALIOBORO. Location of this hotel is strategic, walking distance to Malioboro Street, Tugu Train Station & Tugu Yogya Monument. Good option to explore Malioboro area ,to avoid traffic jam and spend more time if you want to go to Malioboro street. Room is huge (booking deluxe room) , clean , & room facilities also good.Food during breakfast delicious & have many option. Good service from this hotel crew (reception, waitress & technician) , they are very attentive. I have a problem with hot water, and they are following up immediately. Minor thing from my side : because Im smoker , they dont provide smoking room for deluxe room type.This hotel only provide smoking room for superior room type. Maybe in the future this hotel can provide smooking for all room type . Overall staying in this hotel is highly recommended. Thank You

I thank you very much for the very special service from the Cavinton Hotel Yogyakarta team, the rooms are clean and tidy and everything works well, the amenities are complete and well available, there is a hairdryer in the bathroom and the air conditioner is very cold, food orders are fast and friendly. Service breakfast is very satisfying, the food has a lot of variety and tastes good and delicious, Ms. Dini served well when I asked for Soto Ayam. the property is well maintained. Very special service was provided by Mrs. Theresia Arum and the WA Cavinton Hotel Online Team. Check in and check out was fast and friendly. Next time I will come back again. It was an unplanned visit to Jogja. Found this hostel through Agoda. The room looked spacious and clean from the photos and it's actually real. The place is huge and modern. I booked 3 nights there. I arrived with Grabike late at night and the reception was still open. The lobby is huge where you can find desktop free for use, toilet, musollah and smoking zone. During registration, they'll need your passport and IDR50K for card deposit. They'll give you door card, breakfast coupons, a small towel and a blanket. They sell basic amenities with cheap prices as well and drinks. You also can rent a bike from the hostel. The 6 bed dormitory room I booked is not cramppy. Each room has a toilet with bidet and a shower. There's a free locker for each guest and that's where the power plug is if you wanna charge your phone. The room is equipped with AC but it's not strong enough during the day. But Yogyakarta isn't that hot during the day (if compared to Bangkok). For this cheap room, you'll get a simple, free breakfast every morning. The menu is changed everday and if you're a toast person, then you can order it for free the day before. You also can order a few other things later for a small amount of money. There's a new and cozy bar that serves local and western food. It's a nice place to hangout and smoke. This hostel is usually full with local travellers. If you like to know more Indonesian culture and interact more with the local you should come here.

Pleasant stay If you're on a budget, this hotel is a good option. Room was clean, minimalist industrial interior, sufficient amenities, room a little bit dark, but still okay, no views outside the window Bathroom, no separate between shower and closet, so the bathroom will get wet and slippery, other than that, the bathroom quite spacious, so it's comfortable to bath Walking distance to Malioboro, didn't take breakfast, because i prefer local culinary.

Shortly after arriving I realised my suitcase was damaged during transportation, I spoke with reception to see if a maintenance person could assist me with its repair, Daris then arrived and took the suitcase and he advised he could see what he could do.
