Excellent
AAnonymous UserExcellent hotel. Although the room is large for Tokyo, there’s little room for clothing so you end up mostly living out of a suitcase. Also, toilet light came on automatically and was very bright - so using during the night was disturbing.
SSin tungThe room is clean and nice. There is an overpass to the hotel but we took some time to find the way to hotel since the signage is not that clear.
EErik ChiangI recently had the pleasure of staying at the JR-East Hotel Mets Yokohama Tsurumi, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The location is incredibly convenient, especially for travelers looking to explore Yokohama or needing easy access to Tokyo. Being right next to Tsurumi Station makes it incredibly easy to get around without relying too much on taxis or long walks.
The room itself was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Though not overly spacious, it made efficient use of space, ensuring a pleasant stay. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless.
What stood out most was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They were always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The complimentary breakfast offered a nice variety of both Japanese and Western options, which was a great way to start the day.
If I had to find any fault, it would be that the hotel is located in a quieter part of Yokohama, which might not suit everyone's taste. However, for me, it added to the charm and made for a peaceful retreat after busy days of sightseeing.
Overall, I highly recommend the JR-East Hotel Mets Yokohama Tsurumi for its comfort, convenience, and outstanding hospitality. It offers excellent value for money and is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting the Yokohama area.
AAnoyThe hotel is quite new, just opened in 2024. It is quite close to the train station of yokohama, covered all the way from the train station to shopping arcades to the hotel. You don't even need to have your umbrella if it rains. The hotel is easy to locate. It is quite tidy with all the basic stuffs in the room. You can watch youtube in the TV. The staff are friendly and helpful.
One thing I think can improve, this hotel brand (which I have lived in a number of different hotels from this brand) requires room cleaning (even if you decline so) every 3 days (if you live more than 3 days). I don't think it is necessary if the hotel guests do not require so in order to save manpower and be more environmental friendly (which I think the hotel is on one hand promoting).
. Overall, I think the hotel is good.
33LittlePigsI would have given a 5 star rating for service but got a very bad experience with this one staff call Yashiro (she wasn’t wearing a name tag but told us this name after we asked a few times for her name).
We booked 3 rooms for 2 nights, for 6 people. On the second evening when we return to the rooms, we found out that our room wasn’t cleaned. Later found out that we need to put the magnet tag outside of the door if we need cleaning. Which is fine and we were not complaining about this. But we needed new towels. We called the reception separately and got hanged up! The receptionist said a bunch of “maybe” English or mixed with Japanese, then hang up. I called again and explained we needed new towels, she said “no towels!” Then hang up. I called again, same answer, then hang up. We then go down to the lobby, this same girl looked annoyed and said NO TOWELS! Her level of service was just very bad and unacceptable!
It was only until when we asked for her name, she acted she didn’t understand English. Then I spoke in Japanese asking for her name. Then her attitude changed. Gave us 3 towels. I said we needed 6 for 6 people. Then she said no again! I said it is ridiculous if the hotel only has 4 clean towels!
And I will write my experience on my booking platform. Then she finally took us to our floor and said there are many towels there.
To be fair, all other staff was very friendly, including the boy who checked us in and the girl called Monya who checked us out and helped us with delivering the luggages to our next hotel.
I don’t need compensation from this hotel as I will not be returning to this hotel again because of this one bad staff but I surely hope management can give her better training on how to handle simple customer requests with a right attitude.
GGuest UserWe booked a connection room and originally planed to stay 6 nights but plan changed and informed trip.com couple of weeks before the trip.
When we checked in, we were informed that trip.com had not inform the 3rd party for the amendment, we waited for nearly 30mins for nothing, I would not blame the hotel because Japanese people do things quite strictly, luckily there was a lady who I think supervisor/manager resolved my issue and let us checked in without any issue. A bit disappointed on trip.com for that, even though I succeed to have a live chat with trip.com agent but he/she could not resolved their mistake at all.
Room size is Japanese standard which I wouldn’t complain at all, that’s the reason we booked a connection room, you could fit all your baggage under the bed frame which could save you lots of spaces!
Hotel location is SUPER! Everything you need just nearby, only thing I would say would be a bit noisy during the day as the hotel is either facing railway or main road, it wouldn’t bother me because I slept pretty well even with noise.
Locating the hotel is extremely painful the first day we arrived, even though it’s located just right next to EAST exit, but Yokohama is a really nigh station, so many signals could confuse you, remember look at “北改扎” if you get off from either JR or Keikyu line, otherwise it would take you ages to find the hotel.
GGuest UserThough the first room has a tiny unclean sheet issue , but hotel has helped changed the room very quickly . The service was excellent and polite . Also the breakfast simple but good enough. Like the ramen very much.
GGuest UserIt's a very old hotel. You have to carry your luggage down to the front desk on the next floor. Remember to take the underground passage when you come out of the station. It goes straight to the end. Turn left and take the elevator. You will see it on your left. When I first looked for it, I stupidly looked for it on the road. I walked around a lot and there were not many sidewalks on the road. Since Yokohama, the hotel only provides towels for one person.
UUncle J WayFirst time staying in a capsule sex hotel
Many people say they can't sleep well, so what?
But to be honest, I slept really well❤️
Compared to the bedrooms on the ship, there is no shaking here.
Compared to camping tents, there is air conditioning here
Compared to dormitory beds, this place is clean and comfortable
And I’m very used to the enveloping sense of space, so I don’t feel any pressure at all.
There is also a large bath downstairs where you can take a bath and have an oven where you can wash clothes and dry them.
It's close to the station and the price is NT$800 per night (including tax and sleep).
The only thing I find difficult to use is the locker, which is really small.
I only took a backpack with me this time, and it was a sailor-style duffel bag. I had to force myself to put it in... Then if the guest next to me wanted to take something, I had to take out all the items from the locker with great difficulty, like the exhibition The BOM table uses up the narrow aisle space, and then keeps saying ”すみません” to people passing by!すみません!すみません!
However, it is still a nice place to stay anyway!
I will give it a 3.8 stars ⭐️ by C/P rating
YYuHotel is the Prince Pepe mall, so it is very convenient. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is also a 7-11 in the lobby which is good. The rooms are a little small and the restroom is quite small too. There is no air-purifier at the room, which is a minus for me. Overall, I think it is okay for a short stay.
