"The hotel is equipped with ski rental and selling ski lift tickets around it. The price is cheaper than buying on the spot. Breakfast is good and the owner is friendly. Some rooms require public toilets. The train to the hotel is very alienated. There are no restaurants nearby. If you want to dine out in the city at night, you must relocate to the return train or take a taxi. I hope the hotel can install a washing machine."
"Stayed here after going to Tangze skiing, luckily booked a room with open-air hot springs, which was perfect and the breakfast was particularly exquisite and delicious. The hot springs in the room are really different, enjoy the trip, just in time for the hot springs, beautiful can not be described in words."
"I recommend this hotel with 10 points. It has a massage chair hot spring and is very friendly to guests who have just finished skiing. The breakfast and dinner were also delicious and the service was very attentive. "
"The location of the homestay is convenient, from the east exit of Yuehou Yuze Station, about 5 minutes away. We stayed in the tatami room, and the space could open the luggage. The room has a toilet, but the shower is going to a public place."
"Very good hotel. It seems that as a self-operated hotel, it has roots in the local area, because there is a large open space in front of the house, without any buildings blocking it, which requires some historical support. The hot spring is also very good. Obviously, the hotel has its own insistence on being small and beautiful, and guests need to try their best to cooperate. Rules can maintain beauty. Compared with other recommended larger hotels in the town, it is on a slope, so the scenery should be more convenient and beautiful, but you need to climb the slope and it is also far away from the station and the 7-11 next to the station. Everything else is perfect, I like it very much."
"First of all, thank you for hosting! Although the building has no lift, but he is so kind and helped me to carry my luggage all the way up to the room. The room is huge, just a bit tough in the morning because there are no hot water. Outdoor onsen was great. Please check out on time, the staff came in exactly at 10am. Sadly this trip I ran out of time, so next time when I visit here, Im gonna go 魚沼の里 and 雲洞庵, thanks for the recommendation from the hotel 😉"

Excellent
BBrandonVery nice place to stay! Quiet during the spring/summer period due to the area being more popular in winter. Very near Echigo Yuzawa Station within 5min walk. Was welcomed into the hotel nicely with complimentary matcha and snack. Upon check in there was even a cute Gachapon game in which you could win one of their special Niigata/Yuzawa stuff! I won a small pack of Niigata rice.
Room was clean and spacious with a comfy futon bed. The public baths were so nice and well maintained! The staff here are very friendly and attentive. If you did not reserve their special dinner/breakfast set, you can still do say with 2 days advanced order over the front desk. I also love that they provide free shuttle to the station at check out upon request! Definitely staying here again if ever back in the area 🫶🏼
LLance B Goh1. There’s pickup and dropoff for Echigo stn
2. No shoes allowed beyond the hotel entrance
3. Front desk have a local Japanese staff that can speak English. Pretend to be nice not. Anything else , he will tell you don’t know. Go find yourself. Besides selling tickets that he will earn money. You’ll get no information from him
4. 1st day check-in, my in room hot spring tub is slimy n dirty stained wil algae. I scrub a lot out and took video. Same Japanese man came and nothing. Till I show him the algae I’ve scrub and the video, he kept quiet. Housekeeping do scrub off within 30mins
5. Breakfast is same everyday
6. Dinner, slight changes but still 99% same.
7. Child meal is hopeless.
Stayed for 5nights, same meals daily.
8. Want to bring a cake to dinner to celebrate my Daughters Birthday, we were forbidden to do so. Nothing besides what they bring to you.
9. Onsen was good
10. Basic ice cream treats.
11. Simple ramen in the evening
Hotel is too rigid. It’s really expensive during our visits. The rules at dining and the same meals daily, it’s unbearable. Kids have nothing much to eat
For the price, I’ll not stay in this rigid property. Many other Ryokan resort for lesser price and better options. It’s not ski in ski out and yet price are too high.
GGuest UserI love this hotel very much .The Location is very good it easy to Cary your luggage from station to this hotel.Aroud hotel have many restaurants.....from the Google map you will confuse about the distance.
Please use West Exit it near hotel.
The view in hotel suitabe to relax.
KKLC2025The room is so small, and the facilities are not maintained well. Additionally, the price is quite high considering these limitations. The staff is friendly but they can’t assist with restaurant reservations. And the guests are not permitted to use the hot spring and shower facilities on the same day after checking out but this area is primarily suited for snow sports. Considering these factors, the overall value for the price paid is questionable.
AAirgeekedOne of the nearest accommodation to Gala Yuzawa Ski Resort and shuttle via a mini bus is available. Shuttle bus goes to Echigo Yuzawa station too. It is walking distance from Gala Yuzawa. Approach any staff at the Ski Resort with the telephone number of the hotel to request for it. Stayed there for a few night for snowboarding. Breakfast selection was fabulous with two local Japanese sake available! The room is big, clean and well furnished. It even come with a great view! Onsen street which is the street lined with restaurant is 10-15mins walk away. I recommend making reservation for dinner if you do not intend to go out for dinner. Great service is one of the key reason why I would return to stay!
KKoo MYIs a PERFECT get away for family and friends. Excellence value for money package with great dinner menus and setting. Room is spacious and functional. Beautiful outdoor onsen. Near all the famous skiing area. The only set back is the usage of lobby at nite, on the 16/1/25 we are allowed to use till 12am. Yet on the 17/1/25 night, the front office staff come over our sitting area and turn of the light despite is only ard 10pm and he is aware we are chit chatting and having a drink there... This really surprise everyone.
The rest of the hotel staff is friendly and approachable. Except the guys working on night shift 17/1/25, I assume in the front office,.
GGuest UserHotel room was good and massive, facilities are abundant as well. The onsen is super spacious and it's thru the night.
Food selection are quite a few but do try to get to Eki for more selections... Just take note of the last shuttle bus back to hotel.
In all the stay was good, just need to take note that this hotel is only allow SKI in / SKI out... But NOT SNOWBOARDING.... That you have to take shuttle bus to other resort location thru its skiing shuttle bus services...
WWill097Although it is quite remote, the overall environment of the hotel is quite beautiful. There are 2 kinds of hot spring baths and breakfast food.
GGuest UserThe hotel is on the East side of the station which we hadn't stayed before. Its quieter then the West which was nice but still close to some restaurants and the main bus stops for ski resorts. Its about a 5 min walk from the station. We arrived and nobody was at reception and even dinging the bell we had to wait a while. It is a bit of a mess downstairs in reception with the owners clutter but that has nothing to do with your stay so not to worry. We did request a Japanese room if available but nothing was ever mentioned about that and we just got a western style twin. The owner didnt know much english so we didn't want to bother trying to explain. It was clean, neat and every day we got new towels, yukata, new tea, bed made etc. There is a dry room downstairs for your skis and boots and gear and everything was toasty and warm in the morning. You leave the key in the box when you leave each day and get it back from reception once you return, though if we went out for dinner again later or to the konbini we would just keep it on us. You have your own bathroom but they also have 1 Japanese Onsen and you can use it for private and lock the door. It was so nice to have private Onsen as we have rarely been able to have Onsen together in Japan as a couple. It is also a close walk to a Lawson so you don’t have to fight the other tourists for food at the 7 Eleven on the west side. Or you can go to Matsumoto KiYoshi at the station East side. The hotel was quiet when we were there. Perhaps there wasn't many guests or maybe they were just considerate and quiet people. I would stay here again for sure but would like to get a Japanese room next time.
VVvvvLlllVery good deal for Ski in ski out!!
Room in building 4 is smaller than expected but no complaints with such discount.
Restaurants inside are nice, but heading out to the village once a while is good too. The walk to village is like 10 mins and very do-able!
