Atour Hotels in Zhangjiajie

I had a wonderful stay here! The hosts/staff were very kind and helpful throughout my visit. The place was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious every morning. I also really appreciated having a washing machine available — it made my trip much easier. The location was convenient, and everything felt welcoming and peaceful and just 7 minutes walk to the cable car station up to Tianmenshan National Forest Park. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend

The hotel is quite new and located directly across from Zhangjiajie University Affiliated Hospital. It's not the Atour hotel near the cable car station, but it's not far from the Tianmen Mountain Cableway Lower Station, about a ten-minute walk. Even though the hotel is on a main road, the soundproofing is good, so it's not noisy. There are snack shops, bubble tea places, and restaurants right downstairs, which is very convenient. The rooms are clean and tidy, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. The room offers a view of the cableway, and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

Let me explain why I gave this a bad review. 1. The new hotel has a noticeable smell of renovations right in the elevator lobby. The uncle from another hotel who took the elevator with us also said it was quite strong. The smell was even stronger once we got to the guest rooms on the upper floors. The same was true in the rooms, so be careful with children! ⚠️ 2. How's the cleanliness in the new hotel? See the pictures below. I was traveling during the National Day holiday, so I didn't expect to have any extra rooms to change. 3. There's a supermarket upstairs. I don't know if it's the supermarket that restocks the goods daily, or if it's the restaurant next door. We stayed there for two nights, and every morning around 4:00 AM, large trucks would unload goods. Several men would talk and cough and make calls on their phones. We didn't understand their dialect, but the noise of unloading and slamming truck doors would last for nearly an hour. Sleep quality was average, and even after they left, you couldn't sleep. 4. When booking the hotel, I read reviews about the various butlers, and I didn't see any. I'm also a premium member of Atour, and the service at the Hilton in the city the next day was incomparable. In short, this is the first time I give a bad review. I hope the hotel can improve its hygiene services. Don't rely on finding people to give good reviews. Really look for problems in newly opened hotels.
