"The hotel offers airport pick-up and drop-off, making for a smooth commute as long as you email them in advance. The facilities are great, and it's very clean. It's a quick 10-minute taxi ride to Katong Night Market, costing only 5 SGD. Breakfast is as substantial as a full meal, with fried rice, chicken drumsticks, and fried noodles – all delicious and enough to cover lunch."

"Early Check In before 12pm, few times stay here but this time doesnt need to put deposit ($200) like before. Staff is a boy (frgt to ask the name) is very friendly. Check in process is easy & fast. This time no outside parking coz many events in the hotel, so I park my car in the basement which is free parking till I checked out. Just gv the receiption our car plate no. Satisfied with dis room (529) clean & big room worth the money with free breakfast for 2pax."

"Internet didn't work the first day. The ”kitchen” has no utensils, no mugs, plates, nothing. Just an electric kettle and the fridge with plenty of smelly food. The room has neither a table nor a chair, just beds and a big wardrobe (what for??). If You open the window, You can smell the smoke of the cigarettes (supposedly forbidden in the hotel) from rooms in the vicinity. The restroom is often occupied (one toilet for the hole corridor - six doors). The stuff is super formal, no smile, no cordialities, pay money, give deposit and goodbye. Overpriced and not recommended."

"This is a little outdated but very well maintained and clean hotel. Buffet breakfast offers a lot of choices, especially deserts.The hotel is located in a very busy shopping area and it's difficult to find a parking spot because hotel doesn't have it's own parking lot except for several spots in front of the main entrance."

"The hotel staff were great, I could leave my stuff in the hotel all day and they watched over it ! The facilities in the room included everything one might need. 👍 The location is both good and scary, because this Indian neighborhood is very lively and cool by day because there are a lot of restaurants and the vibe is really authentic ! But when the night comes, there are rats everywhere in the street (not in the hotel) and some scary people start hanging around… The hotel in itself is great, I would definitely recommend it for a cheap night in KL and it is perfectly located to KL Sentral station !"

"I stayed for two nights at this hotel, and it offers great value for money. It's conveniently located within walking distance of a shopping mall, tourist attractions like the Old Mosque, and various restaurants. While the room isn't luxurious, it has all the basic amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was a buffet on the first day and à la carte on the second. I personally enjoyed the mild, lightly salted flavors. The hotel also provides a pre-booked shuttle service, which I used to get to the airport and other attractions. Note that the gym and pool are managed externally; they are within walking distance but outside the main hotel building. You'll need to pick up a pass from reception to access them."

"We stayed during the off-season, and the front desk staff was super friendly. They even upgraded our room for free! The hotel is really big with lots of facilities. While the decor is a bit dated, it's well-maintained. Definitely worth a visit."

"The hotel is located quite far from the city center, but it does provide a free shuttle service to and from the airport. It is also not very close to the sea; however, this is not a major issue since swimming is prohibited at the nearby beaches anyway. Additionally, there are no cafes or shops within walking distance of the hotel, which makes the location even less convenient. The prices at the hotel’s cafe are overpriced. The hotel’s design feels somewhat outdated, but nothing critical. What was truly disappointing, however, was the service. The hotel presents itself as a 4-star property, yet it is surprisingly strict about a very basic necessity — drinking water. Guests are provided with only one bottle of water per person per day. There is coffee and tea available in the room, but to boil the kettle you need additional drinking water, which the staff refused to provide. They insisted that water had already been supplied during housekeeping and that no more was allowed. We had to keep asking for it as if they were personally paying for it themselves. That was extremely unpleasant. The tap water is yellow, and there were also issues with the hot water. Only one person works at the reception desk, which is clearly insufficient for a hotel with this many rooms, resulting in long waiting times. The reception staff are not knowledgeable about nearby attractions and do not assist with arranging tours, suggesting that guests find everything out on their own. Unfortunately, the overall service was extremely disappointing."

"Capital Residence Suites, Brunei I had a generally pleasant stay here. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the place felt quiet and calm, which was nice after a long day out. The bed was comfortable and the room was well maintained. Breakfast was provided and was simple but sufficient to start the day. Nothing fancy, but acceptable. A good highlight is the free city tour organized by the hotel. During the tour, I managed to visit Energy Hub, Masjid Omar Ali Saifuddien, Istana Nurul Iman, Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Gadong Mall, and Masjid Jame’ Asr Hassanil Bolkiah, which was very convenient for first-time visitors. Also the big plus is free airport pick-up and drop-off (reservation required) Staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in was smooth. Overall, it offers decent value for money and is suitable for a short stay, especially if you want an easy way to explore Bandar Seri Begawan."

Diana anticipated our preferences, arranged excellent local recommendations, and made check‑in seamless with a friendly, professional manner. Jimi’s local knowledge was invaluable — from arranging transport to sharing insights about hidden gems around Brunei. Both were always available without ever being intrusive, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and sincere hospitality. The food recommendations and small personal touches (welcome refreshments, spotlessly clean bathrooms, and prompt responses to requests) made us feel well cared for throughout our stay. If you’re visiting Brunei and want a comfortable, restful base with hosts who make you feel like a valued guest, Embun with Diana and Jimi is highly recommended. We’ll happily return."
