Gulong Stay Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) I recently stayed near Gulong Canyon and had a wonderful experience overall. The area is surrounded by lush green mountains and rivers, so the views are absolutely stunning, especially in the early morning with mist in the valley. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had a rustic charm that fit the natural setting. The main attraction — the glass bridge and skywalk — was breathtaking (and a little scary if you’re afraid of heights). Staff were friendly and helpful, though English was limited, so having a translation app helped. Local food was fresh and tasty, especially the river fish dishes. One tip: bring comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for some steep climbs. It’s best to visit on weekdays to avoid heavy crowds. Would I come back? Definitely — especially to enjoy more hiking trails and maybe try the zipline next time.

The hotel looks good in photo but less so in person. The view is as advertised, but the interior detailing in the hotel room is not up to the standard of a premium hotel. The condition of the pools and some of the other amenities in the hotel remind me of an abandoned water park. The hotel has 8 buildings. The room you book is likely not the one you saw on social media. Your experience with the room may vary depending in the building you are in. The hotel location is also a bit out of the way. Fortunately there is complementary shuttle service and paid scooter rental. Overall, it was still a good experience (because of the view). We were just a bit disappointed with the room condition.

This hotel's location is absolutely perfect! Right downstairs, you're on the famous ZhengYang Pedestrian Street. Across the way is DongXiang, and just a short walk through the pedestrian street brings you to Elephant Trunk Hill and the Two Rivers and Four Lakes scenic area. It's incredibly convenient for sightseeing and dining. The room itself was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The service was thoughtful and attentive, and the rooftop view is simply stunning. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and the facilities are comprehensive. The value for money is unbeatable! I'll definitely choose Gangshe Hotel again on my next trip to Guilin.

1) This hotel is literally situated on the China-Vietnam border. From my room window, I could see Vietnam, and the front desk even warned me that if I had an iPhone, it might pick up signals from the neighboring country and my time zone could change. The rooftop observation deck offers an even better view of the border scenery, encompassing both Dongxing in China and Mong Cai in Vietnam. 2) When I booked on Trip.com, I specifically requested a non-smoking room, and the hotel front desk truly delivered! The floor and room were genuinely free of any secondhand smoke. Honestly, in a fourth-tier city in (what is arguably the world's number one country for secondhand smoke), this was a rare and pleasant surprise. 3) It's quite close to the Dongxing Port, just a 5-minute walk away. If you want to experience the charm of a border town right from your room, and if you appreciate clean room facilities and fresh, natural air, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Upon check-in, the front desk attendant upgraded my room to the 49th floor. The view is fantastic, offering a panoramic sight of the Liujiang River, and the night view is equally stunning. The room size is decent, though some facilities could use an upgrade. For instance, there's no master switch by the bed, so I had to get up to turn off the lights before sleeping. The curtains aren't automatic, and the bathroom only has a handheld shower, no rainfall showerhead. They also only provide two bottles of water. Overall, the service was good; the front desk lady accommodated my request for a late checkout. For breakfast, the gravy for the freshly made Guilin rice noodles was quite tasty, but the self-serve Chinese fried rice and dishes had limited options. The location is excellent, away from the crowded Wuxing Street area. However, Poly Plaza and the snack street downstairs offer almost all of Liuzhou's local specialties, including luosifen, tapioca pudding, and duck legs. It's also very convenient to catch a taxi to tourist attractions.

The hotel is new and the service is excellent. It's very convenient, and they even thoughtfully provided disposable bath bags and toilet seat covers. Downstairs, you're right by the river, and next to a night market with street food and a pedestrian street. You absolutely have to try the complimentary wheat bran hair wash – it seems to be a specialty of Liuzhou, with hair salons everywhere. I paid extra for the family combo, which was incredibly comfortable and great value for money. The travel photos turned out amazing, highly recommended! The family room was on the 2nd floor. I thought for such a high price, we'd get a higher floor with a river view, but the upside was that the kids' ball pit was right outside the door, and my child had a fantastic time. The floor-to-ceiling windows at the 12th-floor bar and the outdoor balcony at the 13th-floor restaurant offer a great view of the musical fountain at night, helping you avoid the crowds downstairs. The only downside is that the hotel gets busy, and the restaurant is a bit small, so there were no tables available during breakfast peak hours. If I get the chance to visit Liuzhou again, I'll definitely stay at the Wyndham.

🛁 **Immersive River View Experience** - The 270° floor-to-ceiling windows offer a direct view of the Li River, and the bathtub is placed right by the window! 🛁 When you bathe, you look up at karst peaks 🏔️ and down at the emerald green river flowing gently. Clouds drift by like cotton candy right in front of you~☁️ - In the evening, the setting sun pours in, making the river sparkle ✨. Soaking in the tub with a glass of wine, I felt like I was the heroine of 'The Journey of Flower'! 😂 🏠 **Room Details That Delight a Detail-Obsessed Guest** - The decor is Wabi-sabi style, with a white bathtub paired with wooden floors, exuding a sense of luxury. Even the mouthwash cups are ceramic, the quality is absolutely stunning! - The bedding is super soft, like sinking into a cloud ☁️. Waking up to bird calls the next day and opening the curtains revealed a landscape painting! 📍 **Excellent Location** - Walk 3 minutes downstairs to the riverside promenade. In the morning, you can see fishermen casting nets from bamboo rafts 🎣, and in the evening, a stroll enjoying the river breeze is super comfortable~ - There are many snack shops nearby. A bowl of Guilin rice noodles only costs 8 yuan, incredible value for money! 💡 **Check-in Tips** 1. Make sure to choose a high-floor river view room for unobstructed views! 2. Bring a light-colored bathrobe for photos. With the green mountains outside as a backdrop, you'll get stunning shots in minutes~ 3. Book the terrace afternoon tea in advance. Enjoying desserts while watching the sunset over the Li River 🌇 is romantically breathtaking! Overall, this stay was 💯. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Guilin! Go for it, ladies! 👭

This is the best Wyndham hotel I've stayed at so far. There's plenty of parking, the soundproofing is excellent, and I slept very well. The breakfast incorporates some local specialties and has a wide variety of options. It would be even better if the lobby had a display area showcasing local specialties from various counties.

The service was excellent. The front desk staff saw that we had a child with us and thoughtfully moved us to a non-smoking room and even upgraded our stay. The bellhop not only helped with our luggage but also gave us a detailed overview of the hotel's amenities. When checking out, the lobby manager patiently looked after our bags. In short, the hotel staff's service was outstanding, very friendly, and enthusiastic – big thumbs up to them! Secondly, the hotel's location is superb. It's right behind a bustling commercial area, which is incredibly convenient with a wide variety of shops and products – perfect for a shopping spree. The lobby is clean, bright, and has a pleasant aroma from the scented diffusers and fresh flowers. They also offer delicious fruit tea. The overall atmosphere is fantastic. The room itself was also very satisfying. It felt quite modern with a unique layout and was spacious enough. The facilities are well-maintained. The gym is clean, tidy, bright, spacious, and well-equipped. The pool water was very clean and at a comfortable temperature. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the shower space was quite roomy. A housekeeper cleans the room daily. Overall, the value for money is exceptional. If I had to choose again, I would definitely stay here. Highly recommended!

The rooms were clean and comfortable for families. The kids' play area was spacious, and the overall atmosphere was very pleasant and quiet. Located within the Yulong River Park, the scenery was picturesque and vibrant, especially in spring. The service was attentive and genuinely warm, not forced at all. Communication with the front desk via WeChat was prompt, and they did their best to accommodate all our requests, including a late check-out, which was very much appreciated. We'll definitely be back!

GGuest UserHuge thanks to the front desk staff, their service was excellent! The room was spotless and clean, and the laundry room was very spacious, beautiful, and tidy. Choosing BO Hotel was truly a hidden gem! From cleanliness, environment, and service to facilities, everything was simply 'superb'. Xijie Street is right downstairs, yet the hotel room was incredibly quiet, offering a perfect balance of sightseeing and peaceful rest. Highly, highly recommend!

GGuest UserGet this hotel!!! We were supposed to stay for a night and then decide what to do - we ended up staying 3 nights and were very sad to leave. Every so often when you travel your hotel experience significantly improved your holiday - this was one of those cases! First of all the basics, we were looking for a nice family friendly hotel walking distance from the beach - and this certainly fit that category. The rooms are fine, you could see the sea from the windows, comfortable beds, pretty clean, slippers, plenty of towels, wifi everywhere etc. There was also a small playground for small kids and hammocks (picture) etc which was cool, we also saw mahjong tables, but didn't have the time to play. The hotel is located near a fairly large field, filled with exotic birds, butterflies and crickets etc. There were also geckos everywhere (love them), but we didn't see any inside the room. There were some mosquitos outside on the terrace (don't love them), but the repellent took care of those and we didn't have any in our rooms. Felt like you were near nature, in a good way. The kids loved to play on the beach, it's great for sand castles (the hotel had buckets and shovels free of charge) and searching for crabs, fish, shells, sea snails etc... The moms loved it too, especially to walk around and explore during low tide. (the hotel also provided equipment to catch crabs and other sea creatures etc if you wanted to - they also had a service to cook them for you) We especially enjoyed playing under a nearby pier during low tide to avoid getting badly sunburned. The supermarket across the street sell dozens of single malt whiskys and beer from all over the world (they also have ice cream and other stuff) - and the dads recommend the roof terrace for that after the kids are asleep. (picture) If you know how to ride a scooter/ebike they rent them across the road too, and it's the best way to explore the island. The small roads (almost devoid of cars) were awesome to drive on, just remember to stay safe. I don't usually care much about breakfast, but the included breakfast was great! (picture) The kitchen staff was also super laid-back about the whole thing - this whole hotel radiated a very laid back tropical island feel that made you forget you were in China. However the reason I write this review is because of the owner. (last picture) (I'm not sure if he speaks English though, but I'm sure you'll manage) Super chill guy! Immediately after booking he contacted us to arrange the transport from the boat. He helped us buy tickets for the trip back. He was willing to come and pick us up at any time if we got lost on the island. He had great recommendations about basically everything, and whenever we made plans we were sure to ask for his advice. He was basically always reachable over wechat too. These are just some of the things that he didn't have to provide, but did (or offered): unlimited cold drinking water, ice, proper glasses, a coffee grinder, buckets, shovels, hats, umbrellas, sunscreen, aloe vera plants, flashlights, mosquito repellent etc etc and it feels like we only scratched the surface. It feels like whenever I asked him for something he always had a solution that exceeded my expectations. Great host! I've traveled to almost 100 countries and while this wasn't the fanciest hotel I've stayed in by any means, this was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I've ever had. If anyone I know plans to visit this island I will for sure recommend this place.

AAnonymous UserChoosing the right accommodation truly doubles your happiness when visiting Yangshuo! This time, I stayed at the Weiboo Mountain Villa Hotel (Yangshuo West Street Branch), which perfectly balanced convenience and tranquility. The value for money was exceptional, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Yangshuo. The hotel's location is absolutely prime, situated at No. 36 North Road, Yangshuo County. It's just a 5-10 minute walk to the heart of West Street's commercial area, making it super convenient for dining, shopping, and enjoying a drink at a bar. Yet, it manages to avoid the street's hustle and bustle, offering a wonderfully peaceful experience amidst the vibrancy. Transportation around the hotel is also incredibly convenient; you can walk to the Li River, ride an electric scooter to the Ten-Mile Gallery in about 15 minutes, and it's not far from Xingping Ancient Town or the Impression Liu Sanjie scenic area. It's ideal for both independent travelers and families. Stepping into the hotel, I was immediately captivated by its New Chinese style. The ground floor features a traditional Chinese courtyard with beautiful bonsai and a pond, creating a misty, ethereal atmosphere perfect for photos. The public area also has a tatami tea room that offers complimentary coffee and tea, making it a delightful spot to relax, sip tea, and chat. The most surprising feature was the 800-square-meter sky garden on the 5th floor, boasting a 360-degree observation deck and an Instagram-worthy infinity pool. With Yangshuo's iconic karst landscapes as the backdrop, you can watch the Li River sunset on a clear day or admire the mountain mist on a rainy day. Every picture taken here turns out stunning; my friends couldn't stop snapping photos. In the evening, they even host open-air movie screenings here, which, combined with the gentle breeze, creates an incredible ambiance. The room decor was equally impressive. The minimalist yet tasteful interiors are complemented by large, bright windows. Some room types even come with a scenic balcony and a separate bathtub, allowing you to enjoy the green mountains and waters while bathing. Our mountain-view king room was spacious and impeccably clean. The smart home features were very convenient to use, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a restful night's sleep. For families, the duplex panoramic king room is perfect, featuring a private viewing terrace and a swing, spacious enough for the whole family to gather. The thoughtful service was evident in every detail. The front desk staff were cheerful and enthusiastic, happy to answer all our travel questions, and even helped us book tickets and plan our itinerary. The hotel thoughtfully provides free electric scooter rentals – the pink and green scooters are super eye-catching on the road, and riding them to the Yulong River for rafting or through the Ten-Mile Gallery was incredibly enjoyable. The breakfast was truly generous, offering Guilin rice noodles, assorted grains, eggs, fruits, and soy milk – all plentiful and delicious, providing a perfect start to the day's adventures. Additionally, there's a children's play area, self-service laundry, and luggage storage, making it stress-free for those traveling with kids. For just over 100 RMB per person, you can stay in a scenic room and enjoy so many high-quality services – the value for money is truly exceptional. Whether it's a romantic getaway, a trip with friends, or a family vacation, this hidden gem of a hotel nestled among the mountains and rivers will meet your needs. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Yangshuo!

WWuxinqiqiIf 100 points is a perfect score for a hotel experience, I wouldn't hesitate to give 'Poetry & Faraway · Xiangshan Youyue Hotel' 200 points! This stay went far beyond 'exceeding expectations' – it was simply perfect. The facilities are impeccable: The room was spacious and bright, with stylish and tasteful decor. The biggest surprise was the super-sized bathtub; bath time became the most enjoyable part of my day. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and they even thoughtfully provided both soft and firm pillows to cater to different sleeping preferences – attention to detail at its finest! The restaurant is on the 9th floor, with a stunning outdoor pool just outside. Enjoying breakfast while admiring the beautiful view was pure bliss. Smart and convenient: The room was equipped with a smart 'Xiaodu' speaker, making voice control incredibly convenient. Food deliveries were brought directly to our door by an adorable robot, which was both efficient and fun. There's also a self-service laundry room near the rooms, which is a lifesaver for long-term travelers. But the service is truly the trump card: From the moment we checked in and added the butler on WeChat, we felt incredibly well taken care of. Any request we had was met with an immediate response and solution from the butler. What touched me most was an incident during breakfast today: an elderly person accidentally knocked over their tray, spilling food everywhere. The staff present didn't show any hesitation or displeasure; they rushed over immediately to comfort the startled elder, repeatedly asking if they were hurt, and swiftly and quietly cleaned up the mess. The entire process was filled with genuine concern. This kind of heartfelt kindness and professionalism is more precious than any luxurious facility. It was raining when we checked out, and the front desk staff proactively offered us disposable raincoats. This constant thoughtfulness made our whole family feel incredibly warm. Even our child was clamoring, ”I don't want to go to the next stop, I just want to keep staying here!” This wasn't just a stay; it was an experience filled with warm memories. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, heartfelt accommodation!

LLanlizhaozewusanguiThe scenery is beautiful, with an infinite ceiling. The location is excellent, just a stone's throw from the Big Banyan Tree scenic area, and you can reach it with a short walk. It's right next to the rafting endpoint, an unbeatable spot. The hotel's decor is incredibly well-done, really eye-catching. The 180-degree panoramic design allows the beautiful scenery to unfold completely before your eyes, leaving a lasting impression. I especially want to mention the hotel breakfast. Not only do you enjoy stunning views from the elevated fifth-floor setting, but the food is also highly commendable. I particularly recommend the rice noodles and coffee, as well as the monk fruit tea, which you can savor slowly and thoughtfully, truly experiencing life to the fullest.

The hotel has a pool, and on the ninth floor rooftop, there's a 'Sky Mirror' with panoramic views of the Li River – perfect for photos! We stayed in a two-story duplex. The room has a modern minimalist style, with large floor-to-ceiling windows that let in plenty of light. All the disposable amenities are well-stocked, and the room is very smart. You can see the Li River as soon as you open the window, and it's just a ten-minute walk to West Street! The hotel breakfast is also very rich, featuring Guilin rice noodles and oil tea. HHufenghuanyuThe hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient to get around. You first take a direct elevator to the 80th-floor lobby to check in, which feels very grand and ceremonial. The lobby is clean, bright, and upscale. The Chinese New Year activities were also great; you could wear traditional ethnic costumes for photos. There's a special lighting ceremony at 6 PM. The room was very comfortable, with clean and cozy bedding. The swimming pool water temperature was just right, not cold at all when getting in. Overall, it was a good experience. LLonglong1025After comparing several hotels online, we finally chose Cloud Hotel. We had a lot of luggage traveling with elderly and children, and as soon as our taxi pulled up to the entrance, a staff member immediately came to help us with our bags and brought them to the lobby. The lady at the front desk who checked us in was super nice and thoughtful. Seeing that we had a child, she upgraded us to a super spacious family room and even helped us take our luggage to the room. The upgraded room had a small tent and plush toys, which made my daughter so happy she didn't want to leave. The whole room's setup was incredibly thoughtful; the kids' slippers had cute cartoon designs, and the toothbrushes, toilet seat, and stool were all convenient. I was particularly pleased with how quickly the staff always addressed our needs; the service was incredibly efficient and attentive. Furthermore, the breakfast was also very satisfying, with a rich variety of both Chinese and Western options and exquisite dishes that both the elderly and children enjoyed.
