The Novotel Cambridge is perfectly positioned for both work and leisure. Close to Cambridge North train station and Cambridge science and business parks, professional trips are a breeze for guests staying here. This new Novotel is less than an hour from Central London and just five minutes by train from the excitement of Cambridge city centre. World-class conference facilities make the Novotel Cambridge an excellent choice for professional events, with rooms and suites available to suit every budget.

"Stayed at Novotel Cambridge North recently and had a really solid experience overall. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. The facilities were impressively clean, especially the swimming pool and sauna - both well maintained and relaxing to use. Breakfast was more than sufficient, with a great standard full English buffet that was always topped up quickly, so nothing ever felt picked over. Location-wise, it’s just a 4-minute walk from Cambridge North train station, which makes getting in and out incredibly easy. The connections are excellent, and having a Co-op right opposite is really convenient - especially since the hotel itself is a bit removed from other shops and amenities. Overall, a comfortable and well-run stay, particularly if you’re travelling by train or need a quieter base just outside the city."

"This was the largest room I stayed in during my UK trip. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to Trinity College and King's College in Cambridge city center. The area around is very quiet, and there's a supermarket about 100 meters away, so you can buy groceries and cook your own meals. There are also fast-food burger places nearby. Transportation is very convenient; you can take bus route 1 from Cambridge train station and it drops you right at the hotel entrance. When I first checked in, I found the cleanliness a bit lacking, especially the long sofa. However, after exploring the Cambridge University area, I realized that the entire Cambridge seems to have this damp, slightly old-fashioned feel. The shower was very comfortable, and the bathroom was also super spacious."

"The TV was on when we entered the room, so we didn't realize the power button on the remote was broken, and the TV itself had no buttons. We ended up staring at a glowing TV at 2 AM and had no choice but to call the front desk. The front desk staff's attitude wasn't great, and they didn't even apologize. The air conditioning in the entire building was broken, and the front desk chose not to inform us in advance, even acting self-righteous when we called. There were wasps in the room before we opened the window. We couldn't open the gym door with our room key and had to ask the front desk for access. Overall, I'd say you'd probably have a better stay asking on Xiaohongshu if you could rent a student dorm at the nearby Girton College."

"The hotel service was good, and the front desk staff were very helpful. The room was also nice; though not large, the overall cleanliness was great. I booked this hotel to catch an early flight the next day, and overall, it was a positive experience. The only minor issue was that the breakfast times differed from what was stated on Trip.com. Trip.com showed breakfast starting at 6 AM, but it actually began at 6:30 AM, so I missed out on it. Despite that, I was still very satisfied."

"My stay at this hotel was very disappointing. The air conditioning was not working, the paint in the room was peeling, and there was visible rust on the door hinges, which made the space feel poorly maintained. The most frustrating issue was the smoke detector going off with false alarms several times, including in the early morning. When I tried calling the front desk for assistance, no one answered, which added to the inconvenience. Overall, this experience did not meet the standard I expect from Holiday Inn. I hope the management takes steps to address these maintenance and service issues for future guests."

"Given the amount of luggage we had and the inconvenience of finding a taxi, we booked this hotel, which is super convenient, located just 100 meters from Cambridge Station exit. The king-size bed in the family room is made up of two single beds pushed together, making it very spacious. The room itself is quite large by UK hotel standards; we could easily open up two large suitcases. This is an older hotel, but the bathroom has been renovated and feels very modern and comfortable to use. Breakfast is a typical Western-style meal, not a huge selection, but enough to fill you up."

This hotel is located by the river, just a short walk, less than ten minutes, from Cambridge University and the shopping center. The river view rooms offer beautiful scenery, including a small park across the way. The room was clean with a lovely British style, and the bed was very comfortable. A tip for staying in UK hotels: it's best to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and slippers, as rooms typically don't provide them. Since I brought my own, I didn't need to ask the front desk if they had any.

This was my second stay at the hotel in a single room 114. I decided to stay again as it was very good value and a fairy short walk into Cambridge. I had a different single room than before and it was Ok. It had a decent shower and a comfortable bed. I was very cosy. The room had T and coffee facilities, and a T pot that I greatly appreciated during my last stay. I had a better view in this single room which was nice. It is a short walk to the shops, bus stop and the museums. As I was visiting cultural venues it’s a great positioned hotel not far from The Cambridge Museum and the Castle. I really liked staying in this hotel. I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was very good value with really good ham, fresh fruit and yoghurts, nice muffins ext. there is plenty of spaces available to relax in the hotel. If you like 90s retro the spaces are great! The staff were very helpful and I stowed luggage so that I could visit Cambridge. It’s a great value hotel for solo travellers so please keep a good price for us! A very good stay here I will be back. The images you see are of the hotel reception area, room114, the view from the window, T and coffee and images of the walk from the hotel into the Fitzwilliam Museum, Newtons apple tree and Universities. A very brilliant walk unlike no other! Thanks hotel for a great stay. I will be back ❤️

Stayed 3 nights so that we could visit family and friends in the area. Booked a twin room which had adequate space for 2 of us and separate area with small table and chairs if needed. Beds were comfortable and the room was warm (once I was shown how to activate the heating) Unfortunately the bathroom was very cold as the hotel boiler needed repair so the radiator wasn’t working. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay. The hotel is quite dated and in need of an upgrade which is on the planning. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially when I realised I’d left my own personal pillow on the bed. They tracked it down and a friend collected for me the next day. Definitely stay agin when next in the area.
