This hotel was a fall back for me I’m glad I chose to go here after a disappointing hotel I arrived to originally and I should have booked here first. Hotel is located centrally and close to local bars and shopping areas. The members of staff I met were all lovely and very helpful! The room was spotless. The only issues I had was there was no shampoo just shower gel and the heating in the room didn’t get to full temp but at this time of year the heating was not a huge deal! I stayed in room 201 so it was situated close to the lift but was far enough away to not be disturbed by the sound of it. Will be staying here again

Booked this hotel to attend conference nearby. Loved the Signature room, which was big with seating area. Complimentary bottle of wine, or substitute with bottles of non-alcoholic drinks was nice touch. Pastries provided at the lounge made for quick and easy breakfast option. Enjoyed the swimming pool, jet pool, sauna and hot steam room in the Health club. Area around Resort is also very big, walking along the woodlands trail to the Golf club was therapeutic. Stay Signature room, worth the additional upgrade.

Hotel is located very close to motorway junction. Easier for travellers for a nights stay. The hotel also have enough car parking space. Unfortunately the room I stayed had a very bad odour. The shower and toilet were also cramped but I dint mind as I was staying only for a night. Not ideal if you are staying for couple of days and planning to spend most of the day in the room.

Honestly, I’m not even gonna lie Mercure Hotel in Newport is such a wonderful place! From the moment we arrived, the receptionist who attended to us was super lovely. She explained everything about our voucher clearly, and even when we had to go back downstairs to ask her something (because I wasn’t really paying attention but my man was 😅), she was still so patient and kind. The whole experience was amazing. I had a really great night the bed was super comfy, the food and dinner at the lounge were delicious, and the service throughout was top-notch. Breakfast the next morning was also soooo good! The hotel was spotless, the vibe was calm, and everything felt just perfect. I genuinely recommend Mercure Newport to anyone planning to stay in the area. Whether you’re visiting or you already live in Newport, you have to experience how clean, luxurious, and peaceful it is. It’s such a relaxing and cozy environment! 🖤✨

Great location for on route to Cardiff. Free parking and breakfast and great for late check in . Friendly staff and great to have Dove soap, shower and shampoo. 👍

The room and bathroom are medium in size and clean, the windows can be opened, the bed is comfortable, and the wifi is good. There is a hair dryer, a hanger, no shampoo, bath liquid, TV. 5 rooms share a kitchen, stove, microwave, refrigerator, dining table, large and small pots, etc., there is a lidl supermarket nearby, life is convenient. Close to the city center, 10 minutes walk. A bit far from Newport Railway Station, it takes about 20 minutes to walk to the hotel.

Great room, great staff and great location in the heart of Caerleon. Also has one of the best restaurants in the area. Highly recommend

Das Hotel ist neu, sehr sauber und verfügt über äußerst freundliches Personal. Es liegt etwas außerhalb der Stadt, was für meinen Aufenthalt anlässlich des Cardiff Halbmarathons ideal war. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet, ebenso das Abendessen. Mein Zimmer war in einwandfreiem Zustand. Insgesamt absolut empfehlenswert – ich komme gerne wieder.

Convenient hotel location for the the nearby ICC convention centre. Staff was helpful and rooms were clean and quiet. Air conditioning was working initially when experiencing the heatwave but that got fixed and felt cooler afterwards. Breakfast and meals in the restaurant were good with a spread of choices. Room wifi was weak and drops off frequently and could be improved upon.

Some of the frontline staff charged me a different card payment than the booking agent had agreed to. This made me feel very confused. Fortunately, their senior management, Mr. Deepy, listened patiently to my explanation and understood my discounted room rate. He explained everything clearly and eased my worries. After a few days, the card was finally charged correctly.
