Lovely 1 night stay as son had football commitments in Bristol. Hotel has beautiful grounds, the walk around the lake was a bonus and saw lots of wildlife including a Jack Heron. The hotel staff were very accommodating. Unexpected room upgrade with was very welcome. Room service excellent and good breakfast. Kids enjoyed the pool.
The hotel has no elevator and for travellers with large suitcases is a big disaster.
No fridge and hot water kettle equipped is not guest conveniently.
The sink is located at the corridor of the room entry , water splashes to the ground.
The recycle bin is terribly small, hardly to put things inside(Photo attached)

The front desk staff had a great attitude. They first gave me a room, but after checking in, I noticed that only the bed had been cleaned—the bathroom and toilet were still dirty (as shown in the picture). The front desk then helped me switch to another room, which was properly cleaned, but it didn’t have a hairdryer, which is quite unexpected for a four-star hotel.
The hotel and rooms are novel and comfortable in design. However, the toilet in the room is made of translucent glass and lacks privacy. In addition, the floor bathtub does not have a shower curtain/bath screen, so the shower water will flow out of the toilet along the floor. This design is very stupid.
There are not many choices in the hotel buffet breakfast, and there are many people, so you need to queue up, and there are not enough people, so you can buy it without adding money.
I love and I often stay at this hotel when I come Bristol because of its quiet and beautiful environment, convenient parking, friendly staff and clean rooms. But this time I was very disappointed. I stayed for three nights and there was no cleaning at all, even though we showed the sign of ‘Ready for house keeping’.
A rare experience in life, staying in an English castle for the first time.
We stayed in the castle owner's room. Although it was a bit scary at night and the neighborhood was too desolate, the beauty of the castle made everything worth it. It is recommended that you bring two more children with you next time. It will be more lively when there are more people, hahaha.

AAshley BuckeeWow! Where do I even start?
After a stressful time in the bus and getting wrong directions from the hire car GPS being out of date, arriving at this place made everything worthwhile.
Firstly the place is incredibly classy and stylish, both inside and out.
The place resembles a mansion.
Then the room. Much larger than any I'd stayed in the UK up to that point and with fantastic central heating, couch and bay window.
Then there are the many lovely lounge areas all through the facility as well as bar open long hours with Alfie providing first class help and service.
Other staff worth highlighting are Alicia with her excellent attentive breakfast help.
Lily and Shae at the front desk were both very helpful.
In spite of a small issue, Shae went above and beyond to fix the issue even though it was late.
This place is amazing value and I would recommend it highly to anyone visiting Bristol.
Although it's a little out of the way, the extra effort in terms of car rental or Uber costs are more than worth it.

SSteve British tripThe hotel was not the best Premier Inn I have used. There was no restaurant facility and the interior corridors and stairwells felt dark and rundown. Bed, as ever, was very comfortable, and the bathroom very clean. Also, a lift would be useful.
AAnonymous UserStayed at the Best Western Compass Inn and was very pleased with my stay. Lovely staff, clean and spacious room. Would definitely stay again.
