"I had a very pleasant stay at Golden Tulip Holland Batu. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained, and there are plenty of TV channels to choose from. A special mention to Miss Fitri, who helped me with check-in. She was very kind, professional, and welcoming, and made the arrival experience especially smooth. The hotel staff in general are amazing and clearly do a great job. The breakfast also offers a wide variety of options, so there is something for everyone. The spa area is excellent, especially the jacuzzi and sauna — a great place to relax after exploring Batu. A few things could be improved: - On Friday and Saturday evenings, the live music at the lobby restaurant can be quite loud and is clearly audible from the rooms. Thankfully, it usually ends around 10 PM. - There is some kind of background noise in the room 24/7 that I couldn't identify. It sounds somewhat like a distant/remote vacuum cleaner and can be noticeable when the room is otherwise quiet. - The bed blanket could be a little thicker and warmer, especially considering the cooler temperatures at night in Batu. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. The excellent staff, good rooms, great spa facilities, and varied breakfast made it a very positive experience. I would definitely consider staying here again."

"I first found out about this hotel through an Instagram fyp (For You Page) content featuring a superior room tour. The content was really engaging, and the creator was great! I immediately got curious and booked it through an app. During check-in, Sandi at the reception and the entire reception team were friendly, informative, and always smiling throughout my stay at Great Diponegoro. It turns out the content vs. the actual experience is real, no hoax. The room was clean, the AC was cold, the bathroom linen was spotless, and the view from the room was great. The only downside is no smart TV yet 🥲 overall good ✨️ Is it too much to want to stay at the Great Diponegoro Hotel again?"

"I always stay here whenever I visit, but this time the experience was a bit disappointing. It has many positives, otherwise I wouldn't keep coming back to Surabaya and staying here. Let me talk about the negatives. I drove all the way from Bali, feeling a bit tired and unwell. I wanted to check my blood pressure, but when I asked at the front desk, they said they didn't have a blood pressure monitor. I believe a blood pressure monitor and some simple health check tools should be readily available. They're not large pieces of equipment, and it's essential for hotels to have some basic medical supplies for guests who feel unwell. This is just my personal suggestion. Also, during holidays or public festival days, the hotel's advantage of convenient transportation and being connected to a mall turns into a nightmare. You have to wait a long time for the elevator to get to the basement parking, and finding a parking spot becomes extremely difficult."

"I'd say this is the most satisfying 5-star serviced apartment hotel I've stayed in for years. It's a newly opened hotel, and on the day of our stay, the staff even upgraded us to a two-bedroom, one-living room unit, which was incredible value for money. I never expected to find a hotel of this caliber in Surabaya. The privacy is excellent, with each unit having its own elevator. Security checks are also very thorough; Grab vehicles need to undergo a safety inspection before entering the lobby. This trip coincided with our anniversary, and the staff surprised us with a mural outside our room – we were so delighted! Although the front desk staff's English wasn't perfect, they still tried their best to communicate with me. The room facilities are very comprehensive, with a microwave, tableware, sound system, TV, water dispenser, and more. There are even instruction cards on how to use everything. The only thing that could be improved is putting signs on the washing machine and kitchen doors. We knew beforehand that the hotel had a washing machine and needed to use it after our volcano trip, but we couldn't find it anywhere in the room. We had to contact the front desk, and they sent an engineering colleague over. The problem was, we couldn't find the washing machine's location at all. There was a locked door in the room labeled 'emergency exit,' and we thought it was a fire door, so we didn't open it. Later, another staff member came to our room and rang the doorbell, which we found very strange because no one was outside. Only then did the front desk call and tell us there was another door in the room, and that's when we discovered the washing machine behind it. So, I'd suggest putting a sign on that 'emergency exit' door. But overall, we were extremely satisfied and hope to have the chance to stay again in the future."

There's a mall right across the street, and it's a very central spot, so getting anywhere is quick. The room was clean, tidy, and spacious, and the facilities were complete. "Amazing! I really love how helpful and friendly the staff are. They are always smiling and willing to help with all our questions without making us feel like a burden. This is probably one of the most perfect hotels I’ve stayed at. The lift is fast, so we never had to wait long, which is a big plus when travelling with toddlers. The hotel also smells amazing, from the entrance all the way to the room. My request for a connecting room was also fulfilled! This was the most important thing for us at that time, and I’m really thankful to the staff for helping us get one. The pool is open until 8 PM, which is great. It can get a little cold at night, but the water is warm and very cosy. The breakfast spread is big, with both Western and Indonesian dishes. And the sambal? So good! I really loved the sambals here. The food was amazing overall, although there wasn’t a huge variety of protein options like beef and chicken, just the regular ones. The room was amazing too. Very tidy, clean and comfortable. Everything in the room just screams “sleep well” haha. I slept peacefully until morning without any disturbance, and I’m really thankful for that because we had an early flight the next day. Overall, I would definitely book this hotel again the next time we’re in Surabaya. From the front desk to the bellboys and all the other staff, everyone was so helpful and friendly. Loved it!"
