"The hotel setup is just nice, not so big and not small. The room is clean and just perfect for family of 3. The pool is huge, the free transport to and from ferry terminal was great. The breakfast spread was awesome. The main breakfast offered different menus every single day, with amazing indonesian food; weatern food, indian and sushi is available, too! The french toast was the best! Don’t miss the french toast if you have breakfast there. The hotel location is the closest to plaza lagoi which allow you to walk or you can use hotel’s bicycle, too. The beach is just at the backyard and the pool is huge. The bar/beach club offered a good choices of food. Overall it was a great stay, really value for money. "Our stay at Montigo Resorts was nothing short of magical. From the moment my fiancé and I arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of luxury, comfort, and romance. We booked a stunning two-bedroom villa featuring its own private pool, and it truly exceeded all of our expectations. The villa was exceptionally clean, beautifully designed, and offered the perfect sanctuary for a romantic getaway. Having a private pool just steps from our bed allowed us to enjoy quiet, intimate swims at any time of day, completely undisturbed.Inside the villa, the attention to detail was remarkable. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and filled with natural light. One of the absolute highlights of the accommodation was the deep, luxurious bathtub. After a long day of exploring and activities, soaking in the tub became our favorite way to unwind and relax together. The housekeeping team deserves immense credit for keeping every corner of our villa pristine throughout our stay, ensuring we never had to worry about a thing.Beyond the beautiful room, our trip was packed with memorable experiences. We are a couple that loves a mix of relaxation and adventure, so we decided to try the ATV riding offered at the resort. It was an absolute blast. Racing through the trails together brought a fantastic rush of adrenaline and added an exciting, adventurous spark to our romantic vacation. The staff guiding the ATV experience were professional, safety-conscious, and made sure we had the best time possible.Of course, no luxury stay is complete without great food, and Montigo Resorts delivered perfectly on that front. Our package included a complimentary buffet breakfast each morning, which quickly became something we looked forward to every day. The spread was incredibly generous, featuring a wide variety of both local and international dishes. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, from the live cooking stations to the fresh pastries and tropical fruits. Starting our mornings together over a delicious, hearty breakfast with beautiful resort views set the perfect tone for the rest of our day.What made this trip truly amazing was how seamlessly the resort blended high-energy fun with peaceful romance. "The staff here are really friendly, honestly, I find them much more chill than hotel staff in China. It's not a forced friendliness for good reviews, but genuinely kind. The location is excellent, close to the sea where you can see the stars. The pool is clean, and the hygiene is good; I didn't find any bugs or anything. The restaurant is a bit pricey, but the food is delicious, and breakfast is plentiful. The air conditioning works well. I think booking a room here automatically includes airport transfers and breakfast, which wasn't very clearly stated on the description page. Highly recommend!"

"Aston Review: I highly recommend everyone visiting Batam to stay at Aston! This is my second time in Batam, and my second stay at this hotel! ❤️ This time (August 29-31) was super busy; the hotel was almost fully booked, and some items at the breakfast buffet weren't replenished quickly enough. I hope the hotel can arrange more staff on weekends to ensure faster replenishment and replacement of food at the breakfast buffet, and more efficient cleaning! ✅ The air conditioning is very cold (when you check in and open the room door, the AC is already on and waiting for you!) ✅ The room is clean, tidy, and very spacious. ✅ There's a swimming pool, a huge gym (you can even train for HYROX!), a sauna, and massage services. ✅ Breakfast offers a very wide and rich selection! Many local Indonesian specialties, almost everything you can think of! ✅ International adapters are available for direct charging. ✅ Many TV channels, including CCTV, Phoenix Satellite TV, Celestial Movies, as well as Korean and Japanese channels. ✅ The bed is huge and incredibly comfortable! ✅ There's a refrigerator, a bathtub 🛁, and a safe. ✅ Very thoughtful! Simple anniversary decorations + a cake (we saw it right when we checked in and opened the door ❤️). ✅ Hotel staff help open doors and carry luggage. ✅ The hotel is right next door (to the right), just a 5-minute walk to Pisang Keju Terowongan – very affordable and freshly baked! Overall, I'm still very satisfied with my second stay! The next time I visit Batam, I will definitely consider staying at Aston again! ❤️"

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Amazing Stay at Mövenpick Bintan – Special Mention to Michelle! This was my first time visiting Bintan and also my first stay at Mövenpick Bintan, and honestly, choosing this resort was one of the best decisions I’ve made. The resort is huge, and since there is so much to explore within the property, they provide buggy services to bring guests around, which is really convenient. As Bintan doesn’t have a huge variety of attractions to explore outside the resort, we specifically wanted somewhere that could keep us entertained for 3 days and Mövenpick definitely delivered. We stayed while the resort is still under soft opening, so naturally there may be a few minor things that are still being fine-tuned. However, what impressed me the most was the service attitude of the entire team. Every staff member we met was professional, friendly and genuinely helpful. They always had a smile, proactively approached guests to check if we needed anything, and even took the time to have small conversations with us. I’m also a hotelier myself, so I can confidently say that the team here is doing a really great job, especially considering they are still in their soft-opening phase. A very special mention to Michelle, who assisted us during check-in. From the very beginning, Michelle was incredibly friendly and made sure we had a smooth and seamless experience throughout our stay. We did encounter a minor room issue during our stay, but she immediately followed up and made sure it was resolved as quickly as possible. What I appreciated even more was that she didn’t just solve the problem and walk away. Throughout our entire stay, she would proactively approach us and check whether everything was okay and whether we were enjoying our stay. That kind of genuine care really makes a difference. Michelle is honestly one of the best hotel staff we have ever encountered, and I truly hope the management recognises her efforts. She is definitely an asset to the resort. The Kids Club is huge, and our kids absolutely loved it! They even have a sleeping room and movie room for the little ones, which I thought was such a thoughtful touch. The resort also has multiple swimming pools, including the ocean pool, kids’ pool and the pool at the beach club, so there’s always somewhere different to enjoy. I personally loved all the little details around the resort, especially the kids’ amenities. Even the shower amenities provided for children were so thoughtfully prepared. It’s these small touches that really show the resort has put a lot of thought into the family experience. We also absolutely loved the buffet breakfast. There was a great variety of choices, including plenty of pastries, desserts and even ice cream! One of my favourite touches was the kids’ corner, where children can actually get their own food. It may seem like a small thing, but it made breakfast more fun for our kids and was definitely a plus point for us as parents. Overall, despite still being in the soft-opening stage, we had a really wonderful 3 day stay at Mövenpick Bintan The combination of the beautiful and spacious resort, family-friendly facilities, thoughtful little details, great food and most importantly the genuinely warm service from the staff made our stay memorable. For our first trip to Bintan, I honestly couldn’t have chosen a better resort. If you’re looking for a place where you can simply stay in the resort, relax, enjoy the facilities and keep the kids entertained for a few days, Mövenpick Bintan is definitely worth considering. "WonderI had such a great and memorable stay here! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted so warmly by the team. We were even given an early check-in at 11am, which was such a thoughtful touch and made our arrival so much more comfortable. We rented a scooter during our stay, and I found the rental very reasonable. We also kept requesting the buggy whenever needed, and the staff were always helpful and accommodating. The next day, we requested a late check-out until 1pm, which was arranged for IDR 200,000. We also had lunch here, and the food was excellent — definitely one of the highlights of our stay! We had a BBQ on our last night, and the food was absolutely amazing! Everything was delicious, and it was such a wonderful way to end our stay. We also went for another round of archery, and when we returned, something really wonderful happened. One of the reception staff, Rizal (if I remember his name correctly), had found my cousin’s wallet, which we didn't even realise she had lost! We were so grateful for his honesty and attentiveness. It really showed how caring and trustworthy the staff are. Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay. The warm hospitality, helpful staff, great food and little touches throughout our visit made the experience even more special. Thank you to the entire team for taking such good care of us. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely love to come back again! ❤️"

"At Nirwana Garden Resort, staff are friendly and genuinely nice. The beach is clean and clear waters that you can see fishes swimming around you… and watch sunset in the sea waters. Its windy and cool in the morning and evening. Food offered at good, esp the lamb shank stew. Also have nice spa - go for the Javanese massage! There are also 3 iguanas kept at the resort. We also went bowling and archery. At night we also went out for fireflies watching and kelong restaurant dinner."

"It's a refurbished hotel, previously known as Sahid. I'm not sure if they were doing enough renovating the hotel though. I was surprised the room was unlike their photos, the door was bulging as if they were made from wood ashes, the smell of cigarettes was so strong even though I requested for no smoking room. I wasn't sure why, but then they came to spray something to get rid of the smell after that. Another issue was the aircond. I already complained about this, but the engineering team came, but only to wipe it. I already told him that the water passage was blocked, but he juat wiped it down. I suspected that it would happen again, and lo and behold it did. I was so frustrated about this. When I reported this issue, they came again, and confirmed my suspicion all along. They said it wouldn't take long, but it did. They said to wait for their supervisor. After a while, it's decided that I had to move to another room. It took them a while too, only to move me the a room a stone away from the current one. When I got to the new room, the cigarette smell was actually worse, so the guy who moved me called the front desk to move me again, but they were very reluctant to make the change. It was suffocating just to be in the room, even with an opened door. Too many back and forth, and finally they moved me. I was already tired from the travel around the city, and they did this. I was so disappointed. The food was modest at best. Cigarette smell was too strong around the hotel."

"It was a pleasant and perfect stay for both my husband and I for a short getaway trip after our wedding!  The staff there were really friendly polite and thoughtful too!  After picking us up from the ferry terminal, Nabil, asked us if we needed anything to buy and he drove us to get what we needed before heading to the resort!  Upon reaching the resort, we were greeted warmly by the staff and checked in. The restaurant within the resort serves delicious food and a wide variety of dishes to choose from!  Recommend RICA RICA restaurant that serves authentic indonesian food and is affordable !!  The room itself is very clean and comfortable to stay in! We also went to the public pool for a swim and it was just so nice with the sea breeze 👍🏻  Wanted to try out island hopping but the weather conditions weren’t good so had to give it a miss. Instead we went to the spa area for a massage, it was ookayy  They also provide bicycles 🚲 at your room and you can cycle around the resort which was really nice!!  I would come back again someday!! Not a place to missed when staying in Bintan resort to relax ! Good job to all the service staff !!"

"We’d a blast at the relatively new Westin Nirup Island Resort & Spa this weekend. Went there to celebrate wedding anniversary with my wife and the ferry ride from the new SG cruise centre was smooth (make sure you arrive early to avoid long queue or get hold of e-boarding pass in advance). The hotel reception desk and housekeeping team at Westin Nirup was probably overwhelmed by the waves of hotel guests. That resulted in a frustrating delay in getting our room ready (we were the only guests left in the hotel lobby).  The hotel ops team led by Rara Tiffany and Philips quickly noticed the situation and offered an upgrade to a sea villa (Philips also went beyond his duty to give us a tour of the island via a buggy). I’ve to say the location of this hotel resort is perfect for a short getaway from Singapore (better value than staying in a downtown hotel or Sentosa). The quality and variety of food in the island can be improved to ensure the whole guest experience is kept at the highest level (special thanks to Ryan for bringing me a cup of coffee at the buffet dinner night and Arlee for offering to send us back to our villa). To me, this hotel resort is 5-star because of its hardworking and friendly staff!"
