This hotel is right next to Narita Airport and offers a free shuttle service, taking only 10 minutes to Terminal 2. I had an early flight, so I left the hotel at 6:30 AM, going via T3 before arriving at T2. Getting off was very quick. Security opened at 7 AM, and I cleared customs smoothly by around 7:10 AM, making my 8:20 AM flight feel very relaxed. There's a convenience store downstairs, and a large supermarket just a few hundred meters away with reasonable prices. Overall, it's comfortable and convenient, especially perfect for guests catching early morning flights.
The location as convenience and service as excellent even we are landing in the earlier morning ; they provide flexible check in and also staff as friendly and helpful.
Restaurant for breakfast buffet as great as with different varieties of choice and hotel provide shuttle bus to inside city - Aeon mall one of the big shopping area within Narita .
Also during the leaving staff as helpful for move on our luggages into bus and when we off the driver of the shuttle bus to airport also helpful to move down and put on the torey as well .
Highly recommend this hotel and thank you for all !
Convenient transportation with free shuttle buses to Narita Airport, Narita train station, and even a shopping center. My flight was at 7 PM, so I took the hotel shuttle to Narita Park to see the cherry blossoms and then had some eel rice.
It seems like I got upgraded to a twin room, which was incredibly spacious. The bed was quite comfortable and everything was clean and tidy. For the price, and including breakfast, it's really good value! The only minor points were that there were a lot of guests, so the airport shuttle was full during peak hours, and I had to queue for a bit at check-in. But overall, it was a very pleasant stay.
I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and it was perfect.
Check in went good even with my limited Japanese and their English we made it work. The room is very nice and enough space. Bathroom as well there is a small tub and the shower is awesome with wonderful pressure. Bed is hard at first, but after a few minutes you don't want to get out again. Everything you need is there from towels, kettle, fridge, shampoo and all. They do an eco clean for short stays and a big clean if you stay longer (which is really good). I had breakfast included which you get tickets for and is in the restaurant which is connected to the hotel, very handy. You have 4 options and I found it was very tasty and filling. There are 2 big trainstations not even 10 min walk which will take you everywhere so that's good. Get yourself a Pasmo card and off you go. I would really recommend this hotel as I enjoyed my stay for sure and it had everything you could ask for.
too much convenient, it's just right beside the station MAKUHARI TOYOSUNA, which is just a station away from MAKUHARI MESSE event hall, or probably we can just walk via AEON to arrive at MAKUHARI MESSE.
Hotel staff are friendly and approachable, check-in process was also quick via the automated machine (check-out can be done via the TV in the room!). Amenities are all available at the lobby, they restock them up real fast, i never see them going empty at all despite i had been walking in out several times during the day! Wide range for facilities on rental, got myself the iron and hair straightener was helpful.
Charging cable for microusb/typeC/lightning was already available in the desk drawer for quick access as well. Wonderful room layout with the table right beside the bed for easy access to anything, even though there's space made for phone on charging at the bedside. Love the bedside lamp as well, then the massager, the air purifier, their choice of shampoo with KNOLL series! Nothing going extra in the room or anything i need but wasn't available. There's even an accessory case on the table!!!!
Would like to visit Hotel Mets again, some other branches even if im not off for events at MAKUHARI MESSE like this time round. Came on a solo trip with a big suitcase, with sufficient space, it should get crampy with 2 pax, but way wide for a single traveller.
Keep it up guys! I had so much a wonderful stay this time round, which my cousin did as well when i found this hotel for her, she herself loved this hotel soooooooooo much!
The hotel is conveniently located on the west side of Chiba Central Park, very close to the Yoshikawa Park monorail station. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to Chiba-Chuo Station.
The room I had was only partially renovated, and the bathroom fixtures felt quite old-fashioned, though the bedding was decent. The room itself was pretty spacious, but not as large as stated on Trip.com; I'd estimate it to be around 20-22 square meters. It came with two single beds, two chairs, and a tea table.
Dining options nearby are plentiful, but if you're looking for shopping, I'd recommend SOGO and BIC CAMERA near Chiba-Chuo Station for a wider selection.
Breakfast is a buffet, costing 1980 JPY per person. It offers both Japanese and Western options, providing good value for money with a wide variety and tasty dishes. You can even try Chiba's local specialty, the Rakka Peanuts Monaka.
Nearby attractions include Chiba Port, Inohana Castle Ruins, and Kisarazu Outlet Park. Getting to Makuhari Messe is also quite convenient from here.
It was a stress-free experience having booked at Narita Gateway Hotel. Its free shuttle bus ride going to Narita Station, Aeon Mall is commendable. It enabled us to save money on taxi fare and the saved money for transport was used to buy some souvenirs. Our stay at said hotel was made more pleasant by two staff at the hotel reception, one guy named Pun Sharti (to me, he was very approachable and attends to hotel guests with warmth and smile, too bad, we didn't see him when we checked out) and a female staff who likewise has a pleasant countenance but whose name we weren't able to get. Booking costs are cheaper than the others.
Cleanliness is impeccable. Great for a night/layover
Twice i used this hotel if I'm doing any domestic flights in between Japan. As it's has free airport shuttle for hotel guests.
It does have scheduled timing to AEON shopping mall of your flight arrives in the morning it's good to catch the bus. Else just make do with the convenience store at the hotel lobby. (Got my sandwich/sushi/drinks from the store, closes at 2am of not mistaken)
Huge hotel, large capacity but a very well maintained one through years.
Amazing, if you ever fly into Narita airport i highly recommend to try & immerse yourself into this old classic building.
Worth the value for a night or two for a gd comfy rest.
** I bought the japan 🍈 from Kamata Tokyo and had carried it all the way via train into Narita..I wish to eat it before i leave for my flight following afternoon.. had asked reception staff to borrow a table knife so i could cut the melon unfortunately for safety reason they doesn't permit of such, hence i cut it into half with a wooden chopsticks and scoop the flesh off 🥄**
Ooshiiii 😋
Happy a precious, pretty looking melon didn't go to waste :D

GGuest UserThis hotel is right above a subway station, which is super convenient for getting around. However, for this Kanto trip, several hotels, including this one, used self-service check-in kiosks, which I found a bit inconvenient and lacking a personal touch. Last year, all the hotels in the Kanto region had manual check-ins, which felt much better. The picture is of the Hoki Museum in Chiba, which was also the reason I stayed here for a night.
Mmuahcheetoo much convenient, it's just right beside the station MAKUHARI TOYOSUNA, which is just a station away from MAKUHARI MESSE event hall, or probably we can just walk via AEON to arrive at MAKUHARI MESSE.

KKei.missingWhat a place to stay !! For a first Onsen style capsule pod hotel, this blew all expectations out the water. Massage facilities as well as electric massage chairs, study/work nooks, a shop, and four restaurants to cater any craving needs. Remove your shoes immediately and place them in a locker (located to the right when you enter the hotel). Exceptionally clean facilities, the onsen has numerous washing areas, a cold plunge pool, Sauna (90-100°C), Jacuzzi bath, three mineral hot baths, and outdoor hot bath, plus Ion bath. The Onsen is open until 1am and is busy from 5pm-10pm daily.
Massages start from around 2000¥
Sleeping pods are spacious, although the lockable lockers within the pods are around 9 inches deep. There’s a hanging rail, and beside the sleeping area you’ll find a TV, power outlet, and standard USB charging point.
Access: The hotel is located on the 1st floor. Use the outdoor escalators beside the bus terminal. There’s a McDonalds plus various other eateries and shops within the shopping mall, including a supermarket that sells everything from lighting, small/large electronics, and bicycles.
If you’re visiting Makuhari Messe like I did, Uber will cost you 2000-3000¥ each way - taking around 10 minutes in peak hour traffic.
The local staffed train station is located beside the Bus Terminal, providing decently quick access into Tokyo.
Staff were extremely friendly, smiling, and always happy to help.
There is a smokers lounge room within the hotel.
LLini KaloumairaIt’s an older motel with front of house staff that have been working in the hospitality industry for a while. I arrived before the check in time (3pm ~), I was checked in just before 3pm which I didn’t expect. Courteous, friendly staff.
Breakfast was included in the 2 night stay - it was a simple Japanese meal that was easy sustenance - free servings of rice and soup. The staff made it a homely atmosphere with constant attention to guests asking them if they wanted more of what was available.
Room 720 faced the busy Highway but also had a great view that included sky tree. I could open the large single pane window and thought it was a unique point.
Cleaning staff were mainly foreign, all young and polite also. They knocked on doors to ask if rubbish needed removing and rooms cleaned.
I didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant on 10F or the public bath and sauna - maybe next time.
suggestions:
(1) housekeeping: a quick dusting by cleaning staff (feather duster if not wet tissues) - the hotel is clean and even though it isn’t a 5 star hotel it makes a difference. The feather duster can easily reach corners of drawers and tables. Bathroom air filters can easily be cleaned with wet tissues.
(2) room cards for cleaning- more specific than a don’t disturb card. it will save time for housekeepers as they knock on room doors to ask if rooms need to be cleaned. They can focus on cleaning and do a better job on a hotel that has been kept going for a while.
GGuest UserWe stayed in an ocean view room with an open-air bath. I took him there without telling him, but he loved the open-air bath. Also, since it was his birthday, the hotel prepared a cake for him. I called in advance to ask about the type of cake and when to serve it, and they responded quickly on the day despite being busy. The dinner buffet and breakfast were both delicious, and I would definitely stay here again. This is a hotel I would recommend to many people.
HHYLeonAll rooms are quite clean , except there is some faint smell of body odour from last guest (s) that was not totally removed. Also happened to the other room I booked for my family. Bed is comfortable, but can do more by adding another pillow. Onsen is clean but no ambiance, too bright to relax in onsen.. suggest to use warm light instead of white light.
Location is convenient with quite a few F&B outlets around it, needs 8mins walk to main Chiba station.
LLoris LombardiWe had a fantastic family trip staying at the Kamogawa Grand Tower! Our condominium-style room was incredibly spacious, making it very comfortable for our family with a young child. The awesome counter kitchen was a real highlight – fully equipped and perfect for preparing snacks or light meals, which is so convenient.
The panoramic view from our room was beautiful, and even the private bath in our room was impressively large. We also loved the free access to the onsen at the neighboring Grand Hotel; the short walk over there, especially in the evening, was quite pleasant. Plus, having a supermarket conveniently close by was a big advantage.
A minor point was the breakfast offering: our booking information had indicated a buffet, but we were actually served a traditional Japanese-style (washoku) set meal. While this was a little disappointing as we were looking forward to a buffet, the washoku breakfast itself was nonetheless very delicious and high quality!
Overall, this hotel is perfect for families with little kids, offering comfort, space, and great amenities. Highly recommend!
초초코릿The room was the same size as other business hotels, and although it was a little far from the station, it was easy to find as it was along the road.
When I entered the room after checking in, it smelled strongly of cigarette paper, so I wish there had been a bit more ventilation. This was disappointing as I hate the smell of cigarette paper and smoke iQOS.
AAdventCHenDecided to attend Tokyo Comic Con last minute and booked this hotel. Hotel prices always skyrocket when there's an event in Makuhari, so there's not much you can do about that. The hotel itself is quite old, the lobby is grand, but the front desk area is small and the service attitude wasn't great. The room size was moderate and it even had a balcony, which is quite rare. Unfortunately, it faced the parking lot, so there was no view. The facilities were a bit dated, and the bedding was very uncomfortable. The floor had new laminate, which was nice, but the downside was the noise. The hotel breakfast area was pleasant and the variety was quite good, but the taste was just average.
