The clean room with a great view and a satisfying dinner and breakfast were worth checking several times to see how much it would cost. The clean and spacious open-air mixed-gender bath was also very satisfying. A short but neat stroll through the garden as a morning walk was a bonus, but it was too good to be true. The stone underground passageway is also a must-see.
The hotel is very new. We stayed in a lake view bungalow (two beds + tatami mats). It was a bit crowded for four people, but the floor-to-ceiling windows and the view of Lake Shinji made it worth full marks!
The lobby on the first floor of the hotel is large, very new, and full of sunshine, but you don't often encounter service staff. You need to take the trolley yourself and return your luggage to the designated location on the first floor. The architectural design is a bit strange in that there is no door, but a small The main entrance, as well as two side entrances. It was a bit difficult to find the entrance at first. It is strange that guests need to pay for parking (500 yen per day, the ticket must be presented to the counter for magnetization)
The public bath on the top floor is good, the facilities are very new, the space is large, the view is good, and the temperature is moderate. We like the casual clothes provided in the room (not a yukata, just a black top + pants), which can be worn to bathe or sleep in It is comfortable, but it cannot be worn in the public areas on the first floor and the restaurant on the second floor.
We stayed during the Christmas period. There was only a buffet restaurant to choose from. The breakfast was very good. The menu options were not very large but the dishes were exquisite and delicious. It should be noted that there are very few restaurants around the hotel. If you stay here, you don’t want to eat expensive food on the second floor. Buffet restaurant, it is best to finish your meal during the trip and then return to the hotel.
It was a great experience, very much like a budget Japanese inn, with tatami floors throughout the building, a natural hot spring on the rooftop where you can soak in the hot spring and watch the stars and the night view, free massage chairs that were great, and a variety of free food.
The last entry for breakfast is at 9:00, so remember to get up early for breakfast. You need to queue up to enter at 7:00 on Saturday morning. I like the homemade seafood bowl and all-you-can-eat crabs the most. Every dish is very Japanese and the fruits are very sweet.
The hotel is affordable and I would like to stay in the same group of hotels again if I have the chance.
Stayed at Tokyu for 6 nights, everything was very good. The room was very large, with dry and wet separation, and 2 large windows that could be opened. The breakfast on the first floor was rich with local specialty dishes. It was also very convenient to go to the attractions, and the surrounding facilities were complete. The only suggestion is that you need to take the underground passage from the JR station to the hotel. It would be better if you can note the walking route on the reservation.
It was a very nice inn. I thought it was a little old in the appearance, but the inside was well collected and clean. The large communal bath was also beautiful and refreshing.
Since I was traveling alone, I asked the front desk to take a picture, and he was happy to respond, and the service when passing by in the corridor was great, so I definitely wanted to use it again.
I couldn't get a room at my usual hotel so I stayed here.
It's right in front of Izumo Station and the shuttle bus to Izumo Airport is right in front of it.
There are convenience stores nearby, Seven and Lawson, so you won't have any trouble having dinner at a nearby izakaya.
The room was also very clean.
There was a morning newspaper service in the elevator hall.
There aren't many long-term stays, so there is no laundry, so I went to a coin laundry about a 5-minute walk away.
They do dry cleaning.
The only thing that bothered me about my stay was the shower curtain! It smelled like damp laundry, so I couldn't relax in the bathtub.
I think they're busy, so even if it's impossible to dry it properly every time, I wish they could at least make it possible to change it.
Other than that, it was really good.
Also, you take the amenities you need from the lobby up, but
It said that you can only have one per stay.
I'm a woman, and I don't do much skin care, so one pouch of lotion and cream was enough for me to use morning and night, but I think it wouldn't be enough for someone who takes care of things properly.
However, I realized that the location in front of the station is really convenient, so I'd like to visit again if I can make a reservation.^_^
Great value hot spring hotel
In addition to open-air and indoor hot springs, the bathhouse also has cold water baths and saunas.
After soaking in the hot springs, there are free lactic acid drinks or popsicles
In the evening, the restaurant provides free soba noodles for midnight snacks.
On the hot spring floor, there are comic books for free and super luxurious massage chairs.
The hotel is located next to Izumo Station, very convenient
Environment: There are many restaurants nearby, just next to the train subway station.
Hygienic: very clean
Facilities: Also very good, although the room is a bit small
Service: Breakfast is a bit simple, and it is cleaned up immediately after the time, and a bread is not eaten, although it has not been completely put away, and it is not allowed to eat! This is a bit strange.
The oven is great, and there's even an outdoor one. The area around the hot spring is very convenient; there's grilled fish, a convenience store, many restaurants, and good transportation across the street. It's very cheap; we even drove out to buy bread. The parking lot is also large enough.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is located near Matsue station. The front desk agents were very polite and did their best to talk to me, despite my very broken Japanese. Guests are given a locker, protected by a keycard. The locker itself was good enough for me, who took only a conventional backpack and a pair of shoes, but might not be enough for those who are not traveling light like that. The bathrooms were shared and quite clean, fully furnished with amenities for showers and personal hygiene. WiFi was included and it was quite decent for general use, even when inside the shared bedroom. The bed capsule had a pillow and a blanket, lights and power outlets for phones. I had more space than I imagined, enough for me to sit on the bed. The only downside of this room type was air circulation, probably due to the hot climate that's been the standard here in Japan lately, but I think the fans could work more efficiently or the capsules could use an AC outlet. Other than that, I recommend this location and will certainly stay with them again.
GGuest UserNicely situated in the centre of one of the two main streets in Yunotsu. I stayed in the bottom capsule which is much more spacious than the top capsule since you get space to put your belongings. Kitchen was equipped with basic condiments like soy sauce and cooking oil. There is a coin laundry facility in the adjoining building - 500 yen for wash and 100 yen per 10 mins of drying.
The only concern I had was with the check in process, which luckily for me I was informed about before by reading the reviews. Check in is at Kazeto, another hotel around 5 mins walk away from Watowa. This can be troublesome for guests arriving by foot as you’ll need to backtrack to Kazeto if mistakenly arriving at Watowa first. Staff at check in were helpful and friendly (English speaking) and provided ample information about the facilities and attractions in Yunotsu and surrounds.
YYolkieThis hotel is truly amazing! I appreciate a lot on:
- warm and friendly staff who could not speak much English but were very nice to explain to me the details of the hotel
- gorgeous garden where you could take a seat and enjoy the view
- free Japanese alcohol at 1500-1800 (soft drinks until 2100)
- impressive free Japanese cultural performance at 2110
- quick and positive response despite I made several urgent requests due to sudden plan change
- free shuttle bus service between JR station and hotel if you approached front desk for information
- the environment of the public bath was quite clean
- totally different food combination in dinner for 2 nights
Considering the price I paid for such service, I would say the quality is definitely beyond my expectation. :) Thank you every hotel staff who made my experience a better stay!!
GGlobal birdPrice performance is great, good location, low price with breakfast and dinner, room is big. BUT, a big but is hotel is very old , like in the 80s, very dark in the building like ghost will come out. Furthermore , NO wifi! This is probably the style of this group hotel. I stayed in other hotel of universal, some better some worse. I will still recommend it
RREI YSIt’s really a very good hotel. I didn’t expect anything from Shimagen, but from the beginning of landing at Izumo Airport, all the way to the hotel, I met very warm and friendly people. The staff of the bridge management were very enthusiastic and responsible. The design and facilities of the hotel can be said that I have lived in the top three in all Japanese hotels. The design is obviously very attentive, convenient and practical, not fancy, simple and generous, and the room is really clean. The hotel is on the right hand side of the station and the traffic is convenient. The reception staff at the front desk were not only enthusiastic and patient, but also specially printed the Chinese version of the hotel guide, moved, great praise! ! !

陳陳喵The room is large. The hot spring is good, but the water temperature is not too hot enough.
Free parking, keep key at the front desk.
Breakfast is generally the same, Japanese and Western styles have D, but there are no expectations.
RRaymondTo be honest, the location of the apartment is not bad, and it is very convenient and easy to locate. The only thing to criticize, if you are asking me, is that it is so close to the traffic which cause a bit of noise. It is clean and tidy and have most of the daily necessities. We loved the cooking utensils especially the heating plate.
There are lots of restaurants and very need to Lawson. A great place to stay! 😄😃👍👍👍
