You can refill your water bottle on the 3rd floor. There is also an unmanned vending machine on the 3rd floor with a microwave. ✅ Both men's and women's public baths have washing machines. However, the password for the women's public bath changes daily; please pick it up at the front desk. ✅ Public bath hours: 15:00-24:00 / 6:00-10:00 00 ✅ The front desk staff are all young and provide excellent service. Although their English isn't great, they are very friendly. If you speak English too fast, the staff might not understand you, so it's recommended to use a simple translator to translate it into Japanese and show them the screen. ✅ Check-in is at 2 PM, and check-out is at 11 AM. If you want to check out before 2 PM, it costs an extra $1000 yen per hour. ✅ The hotel reminds guests to close the bathroom door when showering to prevent steam from affecting the smoke detector and igniting the fire extinguisher. ✅ The room rate is really cheap. I saw it on Ctrip. The room is 29 square meters. My room cost $79.19 and $91.20 per night. I once booked a room for less than $72 per night, but I canceled it. ✅ Overall, everything was great. The location is great, and the price is exceptionally high, except the pillows aren't very comfortable. 💠There aren't many places to visit in Matsue, so I recommend staying near the station. Even if you don't know how to use public transportation, you can take a bus from the station and back. It's really difficult to hail a taxi on the street. Uber exists, but you can never get one. In the sweltering 35-degree Celsius midday heat, it's unbearably hot! 😭 💠Staying in Matsue allows you to visit Izumo Taisha Shrine, the Adachi Museum of Art in Shimane, and even Yonago and Tottori."

"The large public bath was very comfortable. Although the facilities are a bit old, the overall atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. The garden view was beautiful during the snowfall. However, the staff's service was a bit lukewarm, lacking the attentive attitude one would expect from a hot spring hotel. I hope this can be improved."

"Matsue Excel Hotel Tokyu was our 5th hotel in this journey, and honestly, it set the bar pretty high. The location was hard to beat — right opposite Matsue Station, and it could be easily reached through an underpass, which was especially helpful when travelling with big luggage or during bad weather. One big surprise for us was the check-in experience. We arrived at the hotel at around 11.30am, fully expecting to leave our luggage and return later, but we were told that our room was already ready and we could occupy it immediately instead of waiting until the usual 3pm check-in time. It also seemed that they upgraded our booking to a Standard Double Room, which made the experience even better. Two thumbs up for this hotel. Even though we had booked a Standard Single Room, the space genuinely surprised us. The room came with a queen bed and was more than comfortable for two of us. We were able to fully open our large suitcases without feeling cramped — something that is not always guaranteed in Japanese hotels. The room layout was practical and well thought out, with a proper TV console and work desk with a chair, a single sofa with a small table, an air purifier, and a fridge. The TV model was a bit outdated, though it did not affect our stay. The bathroom was also spacious, with a proper bathtub that allowed us to stretch our legs comfortably after long days out. The bed was very comfy, and they provided two pillows for each of us, which made our sleep even better. Amenities and bottled water were provided at the lobby area, which we found convenient. We paid around SGD159 (JPY19,000) for two nights, and it was excellent value. Overall, it was one of the best hotels in this journey, and we would gladly stay here again."

"An affordable hotel with a large public bath. You can enjoy the hot waters of Matsue Shinjiko Onsen. The room is small but Japanese-style, and there are USB type-C and type-A outlets next to the pillow. Rental bicycles are available. There is also a convenience store called Popura on the first floor, which may be useful for those who want to stay within the hotel. The downtown area is a little far, but you can get there by renting a bicycle."

"The hotel is located by Lake Shinji. Some rooms have lake views. The hotel lobby is very large, the facilities are new and clean, the staff have good service, the parking lot is large, and the twin rooms have enough space. However, the wash basin is located in the corridor, which makes it noisy. Wake up the family. There is also room for improvement in breakfast."

"Suitenkaku was our first stay in a Ryokan. Those who want to visit Tottori, Izumo and Sakaiminato will find Matsue well located, while the Ryokan is next door to the Ichibata railway deserving the Izumo Taisha.
