"I love to stay in this hotel but if I have another chance to visit this place I might choose it 50This was my first time visiting Cancun, and I chose this hotel. I had a wonderful and fulfilling stay, but if I had another chance to come back to Cancun, I would say there’s only about a 50% chance that I would choose this hotel again. Let me share both the highlights and the inconveniences. What I liked: Because I booked the all-inclusive option, all food and drinks were free. The food and beverages at the deck restaurant and on the beach were more than perfect. The quality of the food was excellent, the menu was great, and the fruits and drinks were absolutely the best. The hotel room was very spacious. Although our balcony was quite small, I was still very satisfied. The hotel had a charming atmosphere that reminded me of Santorini, Greece. The room was very clean, cool, and always stocked with drinks in the fridge. The hotel also offered a variety of activities. I personally wanted to rest, so I didn’t participate, but it seemed like there were plenty of options. What I didn’t like: Even though it was all-inclusive, I heard that some of the more upscale restaurants were not included, and there was an extra charge to dine there. Since I only stayed for 2 nights and 3 days, I was happy with the deck restaurant, but if I had stayed longer, I probably would have wanted to try them. I also felt uncomfortable with the pushy sales tactics for massage services. At first, the hotel offered me a complimentary massage simply because I was from Canada. However, when they later found out that I was a student here, they canceled it immediately, saying it was only available for working professionals. I hadn’t wanted the massage in the first place, but I didn’t like that they offered it just to get my information and then withdrew it so abruptly. Another downside was the noise. At night, it was very loud, with karaoke-like singing from about 9:30 p.m. until almost 11 p.m. During the day, there was also the sound of drilling from construction that went on for hours. If you are looking for a quiet hotel, this is definitely not the right place. When I first booked through Trip.com, I had reserved a room with a king-size bed. But at check-in, the hotel told me there was no king room available and instead tried to sell me an upgrade to an ocean-view room with a larger balcony and king-size bed for USD $160. I declined, and in the end, I was given a room with two queen beds, a smaller balcony, and a half-ocean view. Honestly, I was still satisfied with that. The hotel is located roughly in the middle of the Hotel Zone—not too far north or south. I had booked a private van, and it took about 20–25 minutes from the airport. They said La Isla Mall was nearby, but when I passed by, I noticed many of the stores were closed. If you come expecting a vibrant shopping mall, you might be disappointed, so keep that in mind."

"The apart-hotel is located in the center of Playa del Carmen, close to Walmart, MEGA, OXXO, and other shopping options. It's a 10-minute walk to the beach. We weren't keen on the beach itself due to the seaweed and lack of natural shade from trees. The hotel itself is modernly furnished, and everything is functional. The kitchen comes equipped with dishes, cutlery, a microwave, a refrigerator, a stove, and more, making it easy to cook your own meals. "Initially our room was not very nice- damp bed, broken toilet handle, intermittent hot water and generally tired. However the management did address the issues by moving us to another room. The maids did a lovely job at creating new animals out of the blankets and added flowers on arrival. Unfortunately the first evening meal was a disaster. One main meal was overcooked and served before starter (which was incorrect) and the 2nd main meal was served incorrectly twice. Finally, the front desk resolved some of the issues but no ‘compensation/ token, for the errors was offered.  The following days were better, the breakfast was good and the staff made an effort to make our stay better. Although the hotel needs some renovations it was a chill and pleasant stay. Small beach but sunsets were beautiful."

"The location is great. The parking lot is just opposite the hotel. The room is a 2-minute walk from the beach. The beach is wide and there are few tourists. I saw the most beautiful sunrise. The large balcony is surrounded by green plants and is very suitable for sunbathing. It is quieter than other hotels at night. The double shower can take a shower at the same time. The hotel thoughtfully prepared three large bottles of drinking purified water and a woven bag for going out... I like Tulum starting from the hotel."

"The place leads you to unconnect from tension and stress. The hotel is very comfortable and the staff are very friendly and friendly. What I didn't like is that there are several chairs to sit, even in the rooms, which had dirt screws ... that did not give confidence to sit. The breakfast included is very wide and all the dishes are super cools with good taste."

"The location is far from the city center and the hotel zone, but close to a shopping mall and a few restaurants. The paid parking service is very convenient (a few euros per day). The room is quite bare, but clean enough. It really needs at least a kettle and a mini-fridge. There was a problem with very weak water pressure in the shower. The staff was kind."

"Scam regarding the tourist tax (6x more than what the Trip app indicated). So you think you have a ”cheap” hotel (€28) and suddenly it becomes €33."

"Aloft is really great hotel! It’s very close to the beach- Playa Caracol (aloft north, the best) and the beach- playa forum (Aloft East, can watch sunrise). At the roof of swimming pool, you can also watch sunset! Our room can see both of the beach from east and north, can even watch sunrise in the room. Breakfast is included and yummy, drink is included also unlimited from 11am to 9pm. Hotel Services are awesome! It’s location quite close to supermarkets and all different style of restaurants, night clubs! I love aloft and will recommend it to all my friends and co-workers!"

"We have been staying at this hotel for many years as a family and we absolutely love it. Super clean and spacious rooms, friendly staff, and great location. The hotel is located within a little bay next to Punta Nizuc that shields the shore from strong ocean currents, so the ocean is calmer. The hotel has access to the lagoon AND the ocean, so you have view to the water on either side of the hotel. The beach was clean and there is a little reef where you can see tropical fish. Super chill and friendly vibe ＜3"
