Hotels With Wi-Fi in Taranaki, New Zealand

It was nice stay in New Plymouth and we were able to pop by the nearby eating areas with ease. One thing we enjoyed about the facility is the bath tub and the conveniently located washing machines, except that the machines are locked by 10pm, resulting in some rush, but other than that the stay was great.

Well ..Firstly..AS SOON AS I GOT INTO THE APARTMENT...IT WAS LIKE...””IM INSIDE AN OVEN ”..OR IN A 😓 desert !! I went all around the apartment looking for aircon....but... Trust me....NONE... SO I am actually going through menopause...and I WAS VERY 😡 upset ..I knew this very moment....””I WONT SLEEP IN THIS HEAT TONIGHT ..hot flush n then the apartment was really really 🔥 HOT...THE temp yesterday was as high as 30°c...I have pictures as evidence ..on the Facebook community page about the temp last night or yesterday.. I KEPT ON Taking short cold showers in order to get ”:some'”” Sleep.. But yes ..It was a long frustrating night for me.. Secondly..at 11.00pm..to 1135pm.WE HAD NO WIFI... I HAD TO EMAIL .TRIP.COM.. SO AFTER 25MINS ...THE WIFI WAS TURNED BACK ON... THIRDLY...fleas in ALL BEDDINGS... WE TOOK OFF THE BEDDNGS ..N SLEPT ON THE FLOOR.. Because on the bed..the fleas were biting n I brought sheets from home .. which I always do whenever I go to any hotel .. N used it to spread it ontop just to lay down on it... Well apart from all these ..everything else was fine ... But yes ..I would NEVER BOOK ACCOMODATION without aircon ...I cannot imagine ..how is it possible 🤔 esp in an area such as taranaki ...with so much heat ...n NO AIRCON...WELL THATS ALL .. U can see the photos...it's telling u..the temperature. I'm.. NOT the only one ..who felt the heat ... It's NOT JUST ABOUT MY MENOPAUSE... THE TEMP DURING SUMMER IS UNTOLERABLE for EVERYONE!@

Mediocre. There were some significant issues during our stay. That being said, the service was friendly and they tried to help where there was an issue. Unfortunately, there were a few though. To start with, they gave us the wrong room, not that which we had booked (a double instead of a twin). They quickly accomodated this however and moved us. Over the first night, we noticed it had been particularly hot. Despite there being AC in the room and having it on the lowest settings, it did not cool the room. We did inform them of this and they offered to move rooms or give us a fan, this was helpful but dissapointing that it had not been checked earlier. We were also dissapointed that there were no towels provided, despite face cloths being so. The car park was non-existent, being a junk yard instead. There was street parking available but felt less secure. The location was resonable with easy access to takeaways and the supermarket. There were some troubles over the nights including loud, persistent banging on the doors which the owners seemed to do nothing about. Possibly patrons of the attached bar. We did not use the bar or restuarant facilities so cannot comment there. On the bright side, the shower was excellent! Great pressure and temperature, lovely after a long day out.

Staff as friendly and helpful as always, room very clean, the use of washing machines and dryers was awesome. Breakfast seemed a bit expensive until seeing the selection and variety, was well worth the money

Signage made property easy to find. Property immaculately presented inside and out. Checkin very easy, well dressed host pleasure to deal with. Room was spotless and provided everything travellers would require. VERY tiny, teeny weeny thing- no instructions on how to use the TV! If you dont have Sky at home, and given 2 remotes , very confusing. I strongly believe that host would have solved this issue if I had asked and if I hadnt been so tired, I would have asked him. But this in NO way would stop me returning or recommending this motel to fellow travellers. 5 out of 5 rating.

We went to New Plymouth for a weekend and stayed with Novotel New Plymouth. We had an excellent experience with them, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was modern and clean. We will definitely stay with them again.

The unit Is clean though a bit dated. Good bedrooms size with fairly comfortable beds. Dining area is a bit tight with a tiny round table and 2 chairs, so a family of 4 can sit at the table together. Bathroom is dated, air ventilation is quite poor, a refresh to the bathroom would be great. Carpark is an issue, limited space so we don’t drive out during evening time as we are worried not to get a park when we return.

This is a campsite resort, perfect for road trips. It boasts an unbeatable sea view, and trust me, the scenery will exceed your expectations! Of course, it's not a traditional hotel; it's more self-service. If you enjoy cooking your own meals, there's a communal kitchen with cooking utensils, and a paid laundry room. The value for money is already pretty great!

Room rates are reasonable. Location is quite central so everything is within walking distance . The place is well maintained with free parking on site. Room was super clean and neat. Was happy to find the kitchenette well equipped too. The site manager was also very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this place, it’s worth the penny if you are looking for a comfortable accommodation on a budget!🤗

Just across to the coast walk and seaside. Got free customer parking . Great place to stay for the weekend away . Our room could see the Mt Taranaki and the sea for sunset and sunrise.
