Compared to the older Red Planet Hotels this venue is 'recently refurbished' with customizable lighting. The 2 spotlights above the bed(s) are individually switched which is helpful if you want to read as your partner sleeps.

The hotel environment is quite good, one of the best in Davao, and the staff's service attitude is excellent. It's a 5-minute walk to the SM Mall next door. The hotel supports sustainability, so there's no bottled water in the rooms, which is understandable. However, not even having tissues feels a bit excessive. The food at the Luk Foo Chinese restaurant on the 3rd floor is absolutely delicious!

My stay at the hotel was nothing short of relaxing from the moment I arrived. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. My room was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully prepared, making it easy to unwind after a long day. I’d definitely return and recommend this place to anyone looking for comfort and quality.

Location is good as it is near the airport and the city. Breakfast buffet is superb! Pools are big and clean. Staffs are helpful. Good and fast internet connection. My only prob is that TV is useless. No cable, not installed with netflix or internet. So no entertainment if you’re in room. But overall, its a really nice hotel and affordable.

The room type is good, but the TV doesn't work well, no tv signal, they should change it with smart tv, no toilet paper in the room, and the flooring, you can feel sand when you are not wearing any footwear inside the room.

We love the zip line, walking and go around.. , unfortunately the ATV is not available,

Hotel location is perfect. Walking distance to People’s Park (5mins), Bangkerohan (7mins), San Pedro Cathedral and Osmena Park (15mins). Nearby Mercury drug store which opens until 10pm. 24/7 McDo and Greenwich. 5min drive to Roxas Night Market. May jeep na dumadaan sa tapat ng hotel but most of the jeepney drivers don’t know the Gov Duterte St. mas familiar sa kanila ang Ilustre St. then walk towards to hotel which is 2mins lang. Lunch and dinner buffet is being offered, daming waiting.  Hotel is not recommended para sa maaarte. Luma na ang establishment at mahina ang toilet flush, no bidet. Provided ang pail and dipper.  Mahina din ang aircon but enough to make a room cool temperature.  No hair dryer and hand towel. Only body towel, soap and shampoo/conditioner are their toiletries. At first check-in we had an issue with our room. The room looked very old and dated the air-conditioning wasn’t working and the Wi-Fi was non-existent. I raised a complaint to 8 am the next morning. It took two 8 pm to follow the same day for them to rectify this and move as to another room. This room was outstanding. The air-conditioning was working. It was modern better looking not as tight as the other room, there was room either side of the bed to get in as the other room you could only get in one side of the bed as the bed was against the wall so this new room was a lot better. The only issue with the Hotel was the Wi-Fi was extremely rubbish non-existent would be the better word but this was the only issue that we had in our day. Everything else was perfect from the cleanliness to the staff and the buffet breakfast was acceptable just not much choice for the Western pallet but for a Filipino it was okay

The hotel is in walking distance of the center and people's park. They have friendly and helpful personell. The breakfast and evening buffet was delicious. There are a lot of Philippine dishes in the buffet. My room was spacious and comfortable. There is an outside pool of good size next to a bar. The problem with the pool is, that like some hotels in Asia, there is far too much chlorine inside the pool. As I was swimming there, I became problems with the skin and the lips because of too much acid caused by too much chlorine in the water.

The Dusit D2 offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for those seeking comfort and relaxation. While the amenities are well-designed, I found them to be a bit limited if you're the type who enjoys a variety of activities. The hotel features a pool, which is nice, but could feel a bit underwhelming if you're someone who craves more entertainment options. On the bright side, the 24-hour gym is a great perk for fitness enthusiasts, and the gourmet shop adds a touch of luxury for those looking to indulge in premium snacks or specialty items. Beyond these, however, there aren't many activities to keep you occupied, so it’s a space that caters more to relaxation and personal time, often spent in your room. Overall, Dusit D2 is ideal for a serene stay but might feel a bit too quiet for those who easily get bored. More in improvement on the food please, there’s no menu that sticks out or you want to try again.
