Not long after the hotel opened, the surrounding snorkeling environment is average, there are no corals, and there are few fish. It is far away from the four seasons. The design of the water house is very good, the filming effect is very good, and the food quality is very high
Our family were well taken care by Waldorf. It's truly unforgettable experience.
Breakfast is amazing, many options cater your any favor on the day. Dinner has 11 restaurants to choose from. Housekeeping was done in a very proper time. Staff are friendly with smile as always. Tennis court, Padel tennis court are well maintained, water, sunblock, insect repellent are well prepared too. We love everything here! Thanks for the hospitality.
This year's Spring Festival is our second time at Four Seasons, and we have given it five-star reviews. However, compared with the first time I came here six years ago, the standard is not as high as before. For example, the breakfast buffet is too plain now. It no longer feels like a luxurious five-star hotel. Of course, Four Seasons is still trustworthy.
I did a lot of research, so I thought I would see ”this is it!” everywhere, but I was impressed far beyond my imagination.
It was well maintained, which is hard to believe for a hotel that has been around for over 20 years, and the staff were very unique and enjoyed their work, which was also fun.
The breakfast had so many options that I never got bored even though I stayed for four nights. I tried the staff's recommendations and tried the daily specials, and my smile never stopped.
The only disappointment was the weather and not being able to see any sea turtles.
The weather was not quite clear, so...
I went snorkeling at the spot three times, but still couldn't see any sea turtles...
It was quite disappointing, but I still had fun seeing various fish and having a full moon dinner.
Of course, activities and everything you do will cost you at resort prices, so if you have a lot of leeway financially, I think you won't get bored even if you stay for a long time.
The hotel is approximately 30 minutes from the Male International Airport and costs a charge. The airport has a special person to pick up, very convenient. The environment on the island is beautiful, the sea is blue-green, and the beach is white and delicate. The rooms are large and well equipped with a reasonable layout. There are several restaurants, especially Thai restaurants. But take a boat for 5 minutes to go to another island. Special thanks to Ctrip's service. When I booked the hotel, I encountered a little episode. Ctrip had an unreasonable communication and coordination, and finally solved the problem. I am very touched! Praise
After 11 years, I visited the Maldives again. It is really a paradise, and Patina's service is definitely the icing on the cake for this trip. Patina is a full-time butler-style service. After arriving, you don't have to wait for check-in in the lobby, you can go directly to the room, and then the butler has already arranged everything. Our essentialist is Naaish, a very good butler brother. Every day's dinner reservations and daily activity arrangements are all through the essentialist. They will work hard to solve any problems encountered. On the night of our arrival, we felt that the fence around the outdoor shower area was slightly gapped, and the privacy was not enough. After telling Naaish, workers were arranged to reinforce it early the next morning. If you want to participate in various activities in the hotel, Naaish will give you very pertinent suggestions. In the end, we went to the Dolphin Cruise and saw the dolphins and the sunset, a magnificent moment worth remembering for a lifetime. The other services of the hotel are also perfect. The steak I ate one night required a medium degree of doneness. It was a bit difficult to cut after it was served. I thought the steak knife was not very good, but the waiter didn't think so at all, so I got it from the back kitchen and remade it for me. I ordered a portion, and then the chef came out and explained that because the medium should not be difficult to cut, it must be their problem or the problem of the meat. This operation really made me a little dumbfounded. I ate at the Helio restaurant on the last night. It is very common to have a sudden change in the weather in the rainy season. After the appetizer and the main course, it suddenly rained heavily. The waiter helped us move into the indoor dining area. We hurriedly ate dessert and went back The room, in fact, everything is normal, but within half an hour the waiter brought a new dessert, because we felt that we hadn't eaten it well before. Every day at Patina is really beautiful, and I am very, very grateful to every employee for their service.
Ozen Reserve Bolifushi was the best vacation resort I’ve been to. The staff, the food, the rooms were all fantastic. Yara at the spa gets a special shoutout! She gave one of the best massages. We paid for the teppanyaki experience. Alok, the chef, was outstanding. Our butler, Asfar, was very accommodating! The best restaurants were Saffron and Soyi for dinner, and Sangu for lunch. Mostly we just relaxed on the beach watching all the birds and crabs or in our villa pool! The rooms were spacious and comfortable… It was what the doctor ordered.
Very beautiful! This island is relatively small, with few people and quiet environment. The service staff are very nice, the food is also very exquisite, there are snacks and fruits in the room, and there is enough drinking water. You can go swimming and snorkeling directly in the sea from the terrace behind the room, or you can pay extra to take a yacht to go snorkeling, which is nice~
Everything was fine. But the clerk's performance was really disappointing when I left. The smile he had when I came was gone. The same person greeted us when we came, but his attitude was completely different. The tea got cold before he left? The clerk greeted the foreigner with a smile on his face, but gave us a perfunctory word. I felt unhappy when I left. I was originally going to come for the second time, but I really have to think about it this time.

GGuest UserThis was my first time in the Maldives, and I chose this resort. Surprisingly, it had been raining heavily for several days before we arrived, but the weather turned exceptionally nice right when we got there—sunny every day. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly; they would always stop to greet us whenever we passed by. The young hostess (likely the restaurant manager) and some servers in the dining room remembered our room number. The shuttle cart staff (not sure if his name was Jasper), Raj from housekeeping (who’s from Nepal), and our host Mariyam were all wonderful—they kept asking if there was anything they could do to help. The Filipino staff member who performed the fire show, as well as the teams at the sports center and water activities, were also incredibly kind and professional.
Meals were included in the package, while water sports required extra payment. The spa was excellent: two Indonesian ladies gave my husband and me massages, and the ambiance and service were very comfortable.
Overall, it was a highly satisfying experience, with the exception of one significant issue on our departure day. During the final breakfast, the fish curry served was noticeably off—it had a strong, unpleasant odor. Unfortunately, after taking just one bite, it led to severe food poisoning. I became violently ill on the flight, vomiting repeatedly, and the sickness persisted hourly even after landing. This incident greatly marred the end of our otherwise wonderful stay. I sincerely hope you can address and improve your food safety and hygiene standards to prevent other guests from having a similar experience.
KKarakatOur stay at the hotel exceeded all expectations! From Malé City it took only 30 minutes by speedboat to reach the island, and on the way back we made it in just 15 minutes at full speed.
Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed right at the jetty. Everything was explained clearly, and we were personally escorted to our room. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive (except for one lady who seemed a little rude—or maybe it was just her level of English—but honestly, it didn’t affect my overall experience).
I treated myself to a 90-minute spa with a body scrub for only $105, and it was wonderful. Housekeeping is provided daily, but since I’m quite tidy, I only requested it once during our 4-day stay. The room always smelled fresh—maybe it was my own perfume 😅—but there was no dampness or unpleasant odor. Everything felt clean, fresh, and new.
We especially loved spending time on the terrace. From 5:30 PM until 11:00 PM, we would sit outside counting the stars, watching airplanes fly above, looking for the moon, enjoying the sunset, and admiring the sky’s beauty. Everything around felt so cozy and peaceful.
The only downside was the number of flies around the buffet area. If this issue were fixed, everything would be perfect. Breakfast was buffet-style, and even though I don’t eat much, I always found something I liked. Lunch and dinner were à la carte, very tasty, and well-prepared. The only thing I wished for was more fruit—but we solved that by buying some from the local shop.
Thank you once again for the warm hospitality. I will definitely come back!
AAnnalisaKFrom start to finish our experience at the Oblu Sangeli was incredible. It was our first time visiting the Maldives and it was everything we could have wished for and more. We stayed in the water villa and it did not disappoint. The room was beautiful and the access to the lagoon was amazing. It was great for snorkelling and had plenty of corals where we saw baby sharks, manta rays and lots of colourful fish! We embarked on the turtle snorkelling trip and saw many turtles which was wonderful!
The buffet was great and we appreciated that they changed the dishes every day so you had a variety to choose from. A huge thanks to Chef Rahul who not only made excellent Indian food for us, but also became a good friend and was always so kind to us. Another big thanks to the waiter, Yathrib, who was so friendly and attentive to us and gave excellent service. This really made our experience even better. We also really enjoyed the fine dining experiences included in the Serenity plan. Both restaurants (just grill & just wok) served delicious food and a nice view of the sunset. A highlight for us was the pool as it was right next to the ocean and the view was incredible. We loved the slide leading into the ocean, that was a vey unique touch for the hotel and lots of fun at the pool party too and recommend you throw a pool party a couple times a week as it was great!
We really enjoyed the live entertainment in the evenings and especially loved listening to Dee & Jay singing so beautifully!
A highlight for us was definitely the excellent service from the staff. From the first day we could see that they were genuinely nice people and took pride in their job. A special shout out to the Sangs bar staff who were always kind and friendly to us. They made our experience better by just being genuinely nice people and their service was excellent! A big thanks to Pradeep and Lahiru who lead the team and always greeted us with a smile and made us feel at home. A huge thanks to Ibrahim and Madheeh who made us laugh everyday and gave brilliant service. You made our experience even better by just meeting you all. We will definitely return to the hotel in the future as it was the best holiday we've ever had! The Maldives is really paradise on earth! Don't think twice about booking to stay at this hotel because it's perfect!
NNurnazidaOur stay at this hotel was marred by a series of unfortunate experiences, starting from the moment we arrived. We were wrongly informed at check-in that our room had not been paid for, despite having completed full payment in advance. Rather than verifying the system, the staff member sat by as I anxiously searched my phone for proof. Ultimately, I had to show my credit card statement — something I consider private — just to resolve the matter. Her attitude was unwelcoming, which is especially disappointing in a hospitality setting. After discovering the payment had indeed been made, she gave only a brief and indifferent apology. Following this, my husband contacted the Manager, who offered a complimentary buffet dinner for two as an apology. While we appreciated the gesture, it was overshadowed by another issue: we later received a letter requesting us to check out by 7 a.m. the next day, even though our original arrangement was for a noon departure. After another call to the Manager, he once again apologised and offered a spa session for one person. Though his crisis management was swift, these issues should not have occurred — especially given the premium price we paid for our stay.
That said, there were redeeming aspects. The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking. The room opened directly onto the beach — it felt as though we had arrived at the sea the moment we opened our door. The room was also clean and well-maintained and we appreciated the convenience of having a coffee machine available.
In summary, while the scenery and room amenities were wonderful, the service and communication left much to be desired. We hope the management addresses these shortcomings so that future guests can enjoy a truly seamless stay.
GGuest UserThe water house we stayed in had a swimming pool. The room was big and there was a beautiful sea view on the balcony. From the moment we left the airport, the guy who picked us up, the guy on the speedboat, and the guy who sent us off really provided excellent service. When we arrived at the hotel pier, the management staff led the service staff to warmly welcome us on the island. When we left, they waved goodbye at the pier until they disappeared into the vast ocean... My English is not good, but I met Bonan, a girl from Baoji, China, on the island. She enthusiastically and proactively provided us with high-quality service, introduced us to information about the island, took our orders, booked boats, and delivered things to our room over and over again on hot days. When the room cleaner didn't clean for us, change towels, take out the trash, or deliver mineral water, she personally went to the room to serve us... I don't know why the room cleaner didn't serve us. I turned over the sign for room cleaning twice, but found it was turned back when I returned to the room. The room was still not cleaned. I don't know if I didn't tip the night I came. I didn't have change that day, so I went to the front desk to change change after dinner. However, there was no room service from the second to the third night. It was not until I told Bonan that the bathroom trash can was full and the mineral water was finished that Bonan came to the bathroom to watch over it, and then they started cleaning. I chose this hotel because they have a high score of 4.9. To be honest, all the services and details of the hotel are very good, but the behavior of the room boy really makes me feel that he is holding the hotel back and letting the chain down. I hope the hotel will strengthen its management so that all tourists who come to the beautiful Baros Island can return happily...
LLLJJuuAfter a trip to a local island, we came here to relax for two days. I wanted a lagoon-facing room, but the hotel initially told me they had upgraded me to an ocean-facing one. After a bit of back-and-forth, they quickly gave me a lagoon-view overwater villa. The room wasn't huge but was perfectly adequate, and the scenery was absolutely stunning. The buggies arrived very quickly. For breakfast, everything except the noodles was pretty subpar; the taste just wasn't to my liking. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the abundance of fish around the reef, and there were some corals too. Diving down, I even spotted a moray eel and an eagle ray. The staff were all very friendly and greeted us proactively. Overall, it exceeded my expectations and offered good value for money.
JJonathan JJ#### 🌍 **Excellent Location**
- **Direct Access to Maafushi's Best Beach**: The hotel faces the island's only 'Bikini Beach.' You can walk out of your room in your swimsuit and be in the clear water in 30 seconds. The sand is fine and white, and the water is as clear as glass, allowing you to see schools of fish directly while snorkeling.
- **Convenient Transportation**: A 30-minute speedboat ride takes you directly to Velana International Airport (approximately 14 km). Pier transfers are smoothly coordinated.
- **Central Hub for Activities**: Within a 2-minute walk, you'll find several popular tour agencies (Maldives Fellas, Travelscape), making it easy to book island excursions.
#### 🍽️ **Dining Exceeded Expectations**
- **”Richest Breakfast on the Island”**: The buffet offers a diverse selection, including Western and Asian flavors, as well as fruits. The menu is even adjusted according to guests' nationalities (e.g., ********* mushroom chicken soup).
- **Trendy Beach Dinner**: Tripadvisor's #1 ranked beach buffet! Seafood BBQ and traditional Maldivian dishes paired with ocean views and sunset. It's incredibly good value for money, attracting even non-guests.
- **Rooftop Ocean-View Restaurant**: Coco Grill restaurant offers international cuisine. Breakfast by the pool receives consistent praise.
#### 🛏️ **Diverse Room Types, Decent Facilities with Minor Flaws**
- **Ocean View Room Recommended**: The Deluxe Ocean View Double Room (with balcony) offers expansive views (18㎡). The Premium room type even comes with one large and one small bed, suitable for families.
MMustikaLiving up to its excellent rating.
Half way to your staying period, they give you questionaire. I wrote about no slipper in the room, within hours they sent them to my room, impresive.
Security is tight, but they respect your privacy and make you feel safer. Rooms are clean and modern, amenities are complete including bubble bath when your room have open air bath tub
ZZuijindefengjing1210The room size was acceptable, and the hotel service was standard. However, the hotel pool was tiny, and the waves on the beach right outside were quite strong. There was also a lively evening party at the hotel, which made it a bit noisy. Overall, the hotel's price was high, and the value for money was just okay. Breakfast was mediocre with not much to choose from. There's no Chinese-speaking staff, so if you're not fluent in English, you might want to reconsider.
AAndy pezLovely place and fantastic staff and food. However, on the downside, everything is overpriced, and they do try to up sell everything from food and experiences. We stayed in the water jacuzzi villas at the north of the island and ate in the adult only restaurant, which was fantastic. The food was good and the staff were lovely. Have Ali cook your complete in the morning. He's a real fun guy.
On the excursions. The good and the bad and the total miss advertising of them.
Sunset Punch Cruise is a joke. The punch is fruit punch, no alcohol. The advert gives you a sense of a party theme trip. It's not, and you just get a glass of punch at the beginning of the trip. Overpriced. Saw dolphins and a nice sunset.
Shark Snorkelling disappointing 😞 overpriced and felt like being in an aquarium and not in the wild. Spent an hour on the boat to end up at an abandoned harbour with viewing platforms, and that's where you swim. Hit and miss with sharks.
Traditional Dhoni Sailing Boat. Peaceful and lovely experience. 3 staff manned the boat, and we sat there enjoying the peace and quiet and the sun. We were very lucky and saw Sting Ray, Manta Ray, and turtles in our 1 hour experience. Excellent experience.
Adventure Snorkelling was far the best experience and worth the money, which is dependent on the number of people doing the experience. Our guide was excellent and well versed in the reefs and wildlife around. A great half day adventure.
Overall a get place to visit but expensive and overpriced in its extras.
