Facilities: Very thoughtful amenities, and the breakfast was exquisite. It was especially quiet at night. Cleanliness: White walls and white tiles made everything look very clean. Environment: We were upgraded to a junior suite with a huge terrace overlooking a garden. The room decor had a lot of local character. Service: Very welcoming and helpful. Since my train wasn't until later in the afternoon, I requested a late check-out until 2 PM through Trip.com, which they kindly accommodated.

This is a wonderful boutique hotel in Samarkand. There's no elevator, but the staff are very helpful with luggage. The rooms are well-equipped with a welcome amenity, and they are clean and cozy. The location is excellent, right next to Siab Bazaar, Bibi-Khanym, and Shah-i-Zinda, with everything else within walking distance. This is the first hotel I've stayed at with a coffee machine and excellent coffee (the owner personally selects the superb beans)! The staff are polite and attentive, and the breakfasts are delicious! Thanks to Trip.com for this recommendation! And thanks to the hotel owner for a wonderful stay!

The guesthouse is located in the old town. The roads are quite narrow, and some sections are currently under construction with engineering vehicles. Although there are alternative routes to reach the entrance, some drivers might not be familiar with them. If you return to the guesthouse too late, drivers might be reluctant to drive all the way in because the path is too dark and difficult to navigate, so you may need to walk a short distance yourself. The room is simple but very spacious. Please note that toiletries and an electric kettle are not provided (though you can boil water in the kitchen), and you will also need to prepare your own bottled water. Fortunately, there is a small convenience store right next door where you can buy these items. During my stay, it rained one day and there was a brief power outage, but electricity was restored very quickly. The host is wonderful and speaks fluent English. Upon check-in, he gave me a map and briefly explained the locations of key attractions and some restaurants. When I checked out, he even helped me with my luggage and called a taxi for me. If you have any questions, he will always answer them patiently. The guesthouse is about a 15-minute walk from Registan. There are more restaurants around the Bibi-Khanym Mosque area, where you can also find a tourist information center that helps mail postcards. If you don’t demand the facilities of a brand-name hotel, the overall experience is very good.

Great 3 nights stay at Movenpick hotel with all amenities. Very convenient and close to the Gour Emir monument (4/5mn by walk) and the Registan square (15/16mn). A lot of cafe and restaurants around the hotel as we didn’t book the hotel breakfast. As we are lazy to dine out, we enjoyed twice diners at the restaurant Caramelle (really juicy manti and tasteful somsa & soups) We tried the sauna (hammam was under reparation) and the fitness. We had pleasant drinks at the pool bar. So we can recommend the Movenpick hotel at Samarkand. And the room rates are very affordable for a 4,5/5* hotel.

An excellent stay in a beautiful hotel with best ever service. I enjoyed really much. The room was equipped with high end technologies. The breakfast is fresh, great selection and gluten free options available upon request. The view is excellent. For information: the hotel is located in highly secured and very well developed closed area. It’s very clean modern and security controlled but not in the center of a city. You have to keep it in mind when you plan your trip. It requires 15 more minutes by taxi to get to the center, but in return you live in a very high standard & modern area with gated entrance.

Stayed in this hotel for two nights. Overall, it is a nice hotel, probably it was constructed a couple years ago. Breakfast was OK. The room was clean. Swimming pool is available. Location is near the canal though it’s not in the city center. If you want to visit attractions in the city, you might need to use Taxi as there is no public transport system that connects that touristic center to the city.

A true Hilton experience. The rooms are clean, convenient, and comfortable. The staff is polite. The elevators work perfectly. The breakfasts are a bit meager, which is unusual for this hotel chain. For fruits, they only had apples, bananas, sliced oranges, and kiwi. Despite it being berry season, there were no berries at breakfast. Downstairs, there's a spa center with a pool and sauna. Bathrobes and towels are readily available at the spa. In the morning, they found us at breakfast and wished my husband a happy birthday, even treating him to a delicious cheesecake. The only upside for me, and a downside for my husband, is that the hotel doesn't serve any alcohol at all. But there's an alcohol store not far away, so the celebration was still a success.

Good hotel. It's located just across the road from one of the main attractions, Shah-i-Zinda. Most of the main sights are about a 10-minute walk away. The hotel has everything you need, or you can request it. The rooms are good and clean. Breakfasts are good. For me, the only problem, as in all of Samarkand really, was the poor coffee. The hotel's main highlight is its swimming pool with sun loungers and a cozy courtyard. Although I didn't get to swim, we did sunbathe a bit. There's also a sauna, which we enjoyed. The only downside was that the steam in the hammam was very strong, and the seats weren't heated. The staff were responsive. Overall, we liked everything.

Very Good
HHumanity ProjectExcellent location, generous service, and authentic charm near Registan. We stayed at Shahram Plus SH for one night, with a short extension, and had a wonderful experience. The location is excellent. It is in a quiet local neighborhood, just a short walking distance from Registan Square, the mausoleums, and the nearby bazaar. It feels peaceful and authentic while still being very convenient for sightseeing. The courtyard is beautiful and traditional, with a charming and authentic design that reflects the local culture. Our room was very large and spacious, easily accommodating three guests. It was beautifully decorated, well heated, and also equipped with air conditioning. There were plenty of outlets for charging devices, which is always appreciated while traveling. The bathroom was spacious and included a large bathtub and a western-style toilet. Free drinking water is available in the basement kitchen area, though guests need to bring their own bottles or cups. One thing we especially appreciated was the generosity of the staff. We explained that we had booked a night train departing after midnight and asked if a later check-out would be possible. They kindly offered us a much later check-out so we could relax and freshen up before heading to the station. We truly appreciated this flexibility. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly throughout our stay and treated us like part of their family. Breakfast was also very good. The dishes were local, freshly made, filling, and delicious. A couple small notes for future guests: the toilet paper may not meet Western European standards, so you may wish to be prepared. Also, the beds are quite firm. If you are a side sleeper, the firmness may take some adjustment. Aside from these minor points, the rest of our stay was excellent. We highly recommend this hotel for its location, authentic atmosphere, and the incredible service from the entire staff.

GGuest UserWe absolutely loved this hotel. It's location is great and the staff are amazing especially the front desk. There is no lift but the reception staff helped us with the bags. We paid for a more premium room but it was on level 3 so we asked to be changed to room on a lower level and it was great. The Georgian restaurant inside the hotel is amazing. The food is great and the staff were amazing. Will definitely stay there again.

GGuest UserThe most important thing about this hotel is the super staff! The guys at the reception and in the breakfast room were polite and responsive! You can book the spa area for 1 hour (free for hotel guests, 1 hour per day). Breakfasts are good, with tasty porridges every morning. The staff promptly replenishes anything that runs out. Everything is cozy, homely, and never crowded. Even though buses brought tourists every morning, we never saw them at breakfast. I really liked the jams in the small bowls, the pancakes, and the syrniki (cheese pancakes)!)

GGuest UserVery satisfied, the service was very attentive. The location is within walking distance of the square, about 1.6 kilometers. There's a very good barbecue restaurant nearby. The staff speaks English, and the prices are very reasonable. The hotel entrance is very small, and I circled the building using the navigation system but couldn't find the entrance. Hahahaha, actually, the entrance is right on the road.

GGuest UserThe hostel is located in the Old Town, which is convenient as the bus stop is only a 3-minute walk away. However, it's situated in a small alley, and there's a stretch of road without streetlights when returning from the main square, which felt a bit unsafe at night. The owner was always helpful in solving various issues, for example, when I wanted to boil a couple of eggs in the morning. There's a water dispenser available in the common area, which is handy. The day before I checked in, guests reported no hot water, initially thinking it was due to late-night usage. The next day, it was still cold. When asked, the owner said a circuit breaker had tripped. Once fixed, the water was very hot, so it's important to report any problems promptly. It was advertised as a 4-bed dorm, but it was actually a 5-bed dorm, which was quite a surprise. The owner claimed it couldn't be changed on the platform, a reason I found hard to accept. Even if the main listing couldn't be altered, they could have added a note in the remarks section. Otherwise, it feels like deception, especially for a 'non-refundable' booking where no money is returned. This was the case for both the female and male dorms. With many guests staying, the cleanliness of the common areas struggled to keep up. Also, I didn't seem to find any lockable personal lockers. The owner, who uses a wheelchair, runs this hostel, which is commendable, and the price is good. However, the issues mentioned above do exist. Luckily, I only stayed for one night as a stopover.

MMladenowskiWe were very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. Although it’s rated 4 stars, it offers amenities and service comparable to some 5-star hotels. Our room was spacious, featuring a balcony, a spotless bathroom, and four complimentary bottles of water although we are a couple. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, arranging our private visit to the SPA and swimming pool, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Breakfast was delicious, with a wider and better selection than some nearby 5-star hotels. The only downsides were the location of the rooms, which are separate from the main building, the absence of an elevator, and open-air corridors connecting the rooms to the dining and SPA areas. This can be uncomfortable during colder months like February, so dressing warmly is advisable. This hotel is definitely THE BEST DEAL you can find in the area and it's just 10 minutes walk from the main attraction in Samarkand.
