GGuest UserAll staff were excellent always very helpful, facilities need refreshing hotel needs sprucing up, gym equipment tired and ripped Pool small.
Chairs in the bar area either dirty or broken, very busy hotel trying to be too many things to too many people. Tried to book Spa on Saturday or Sunday both full.
Breakfast basic to say the least.
It was a shame, as once again the staff made our stay.
GGuest UserThis hotel was absolutely perfect! Me and my daughter booked this hotel to see Louis Tomlinson at the Utilita. It was perfect location. 10 minutes from the train station, 5-10 minutes from the arena. There is also a lot of night life so we managed to find a nice place just across the road to have some food and drinks. The room was lovely too! We had two double beds so we managed to sleep very well after the concert! Will definitely stay again if we have another trip to Birmingham!
GGuest UserFriendly reception. Good-sized room, comfortable bed.
Quiet location (currently) by Millennium Point. Bus and tram stops right outside. Short walk from town.
GGuest UserThe room is very tidy and clean. The staff is approachable, we enjoyed our stay. We’ll be back soon for sure. Thank you!!
Ps: We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet for only £10, that’s superb ❤️
GGuest UserGood location close to M42, free parking onsite, easy access to reception check in was straightforward lifts to all floors and the room was perfect clean and warm.
self service for buffet breakfast good variety for every taste. would recommend this hotel to friends and family.
GGuest UserI recently stayed at your hotel and unfortunately left feeling quite disappointed with several aspects of my stay.
Upon arrival, I noticed what appeared to be blood stains on the curtains, hair left on the towel/flannel in the bathroom, and marks on the table surfaces. I have attached photographs for reference, as I feel these are basic housekeeping standards that should have been checked prior to a guest arriving.
I also experienced multiple issues with food and service during my stay. I ordered a charcuterie board, however the Parma ham and other cured meats appeared dried out, discoloured and no longer fresh. Unfortunately, after eating it, I also felt unwell afterwards, which was particularly concerning.
Later, when ordering dinner, I asked for a croque monsieur but the staff member repeatedly did not understand the order, despite me explaining it was a toasted ham and cheese sandwich. I was eventually advised to order a panini instead.
Additionally, I ordered truffle fries but was informed they were unavailable. I agreed to normal fries, however what arrived were heavily seasoned thick-cut chips which were completely different from what I expected and unfortunately not enjoyable.
Another issue was the iron provided in the room, which had black residue/staining on it and ended up marking my top, which was very frustrating.
As I had booked the stay primarily to relax and enjoy a quiet evening in the room with room service, it was disappointing that the overall experience did not feel comfortable or enjoyable.
What disappointed me further was that upon check-out, nobody asked how my stay was or whether everything had been satisfactory, despite the multiple issues experienced throughout my visit.
I wanted to bring this to your attention as I do not usually complain, however I felt the overall standard of cleanliness, food quality and service fell below expectations.
Kind regards,
Karolina
GGuest UserThis hotel was perfect for an overnight stay fir work the bed was extremely comfortable room
Very bright and clean reception was lovely the lady on night shift very chatty and welcoming
Breakfast was perfect nice spaces and food choice of food fully recommend this hotel and credit to the manager
PPipixiahouhouIt was an average experience. The hotel is quite old, but considering the price in Europe, it's understandable. Slippers and toothbrushes can be delivered to your room if you call the front desk, which was a nice touch. It's very close to the train station.
