Motels in Tasmania, Australia

I've been to Australia three times, but this was my first trip to Tasmania. I traveled solo, taking a 2.5-hour drive from Hobart to Launceston in the north. I stayed at this Best Western Plus for two nights, and my overall experience was very good. **Cleanliness:** Very clean, and housekeeping cleans daily. If you're staying multiple nights and don't need cleaning the next day, you can hang the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on your doorknob, and they'll give you an 8 AUD meal voucher for breakfast at the restaurant. **Facilities:** Standardized beds and a bathroom. The room was spacious, very comfortable for one person. The bathroom had bath towels, regular towels, and hand towels. Laundry supplies were also provided. The minibar offered free tea bags and instant coffee. Two complimentary bottles of mineral water were in the room, with additional bottles costing 4 AUD each. The parking lot 🅿️ was quite large. **Service:** Breakfast was a continental breakfast, including bread, butter, jam, milk, and oatmeal.

The motel itself is actually not bad. Based on the reviews, I was expecting it to be worse. But the rooms are fresh and clean. It lacks air conditioning though. It was cold at night and hot during the day. Also, a suggestion for the owners – it would be great to have at least a microwave downstairs. Sometimes you just want to heat something up for a quick bite, but... And there can be issues with parking spots. There aren't many spaces available. It's first-come, first-served.

This is a very good place and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery place. Quiet, clean and well equipped. Staff members are very helpful & friendly. Highly recommended!

This hotel offers free drink vouchers, and it's super convenient that they have laundry facilities. It's only $3 per wash, and laundry powder and drying are free, which is incredibly cheap. The hotel staff are also very friendly. The hotel's restaurant is right across the street, so it's just a short walk for meals! The whole place is clean, tidy, and comfortable, and they even provide T2 tea bags, which is a nice touch.

Amenities: The high-definition TV was great for watching shows, and the capsule coffee machine with complimentary capsules was a perfect touch! Environment: Pushing open the balcony door, you could see the sea, although it wasn't quite the direct sunrise view I had imagined. Service: The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great location very close to CBD with free onsite parking and nice view. Very friendly reception staff. Just one comment about kitchen facilities - it'll be fair to mention limited shared kitchen in the Trip.com description as it opens only after 9.30am and closes early too. When the feature says kitchen, it has to be a kitchen, not with restricted one. Thanks.

The receptionist was very polite. The environment was spacious and natural, and the lake-view room was breathtaking.

The room was much better than I expected! I thought it would be old-fashioned, but it was actually really nice! Plus, it had a small balcony, and the heating in the room was excellent, so no worries about being cold in winter. The only minor things were that you need to bring your own toiletries, and the complimentary bottled water wasn't replenished daily, only provided on the first day, and subsequent bottles were chargeable, which I found a bit odd. Overall, the stay was good. However, if you take the Skybus to the city stop, it's still about a 10-15 minute walk from there.
