GGuest UserThe hotel was clean and offered great value for money. While the breakfast selection was a bit limited, it's a good place to stay if you're visiting Hallstatt, and it's also very convenient for exploring the lake district. We actually had a lot of trouble figuring out transportation to Hallstatt initially, going out of our way unnecessarily. Turns out, there's a train station just about 500 meters from the hotel, which offers easy access to many places. This station also doubles as a bus stop. You can take the 542, then transfer to the 543 or 541/544 to reach Hallstatt or Gosau. The train and bus schedules are seamlessly connected, making it super convenient. We wish we had known this earlier, as the transportation issues caused us a lot of stress. I'd suggest the hotel create a Chinese transportation guide to help future guests avoid similar travel difficulties.

GGuest UserExtremely satisfied with this hotel! Even though we booked an economy room, it was the largest I've ever stayed in abroad. Our room opened up to a garden, and it was fully equipped, including kitchenware (just bring your own seasonings and oil). The supermarket right outside sells organic products, which are a bit pricey. You can drive to the Eurospar supermarket about 600 meters away for more options, but be mindful of their opening hours – they usually close at 7 PM and at 6 PM on Saturdays. The experience felt just like home. A stroll around the small town after dinner was also very chill.

GGuest UserThis hotel is located in Gosau, Austria. You can reach the hotel directly by taking bus 150 from Salzburg, then transferring to buses 541 and 542. Gosau is about a 30-minute drive from Lake Hallstatt.
The hotel itself is a large wooden lodge, with the reception and restaurant conveniently located next to each other.
The room was a good size and had a balcony. The sink and shower are separate from the toilet, which is a nice touch. I highly recommend booking a west-facing room, as it offers breathtaking views of the distant snow-capped mountains. We opted for both breakfast and dinner; breakfast was a bit basic, but dinner was decent. Overall, it offers good value for money.

GGuest UserThe view from our balcony was breathtaking, by the lake and serene. An awesome place to relax and enjoy the peaceful scenery. There’s also a cafe right next to the hotel. I would definitely stay here again if I come back. The hotel is walking distance from Obertraun train station. No need to get off at Hallstatt station and lug your luggage up and down the hill and then load the luggage onto the ferry and unload. Then drag your luggage across Hallstatt to the bus stop at the other side of town. Easy way get off at Obertraun train station and walk to Haus Am See.

GGuest UserThe hotel is actually a boutique B&B. The facilities and room sizes are better in the town. The lake view from the window is beautiful, but the hotel is not in the most central location of the town. It is on the hillside. Fortunately, the whole town is not big, and it is less than 200 meters to the town center or the town entrance for the best photos and check-ins.

PPier 0Couldn't get a room on the first day, so they gave me one on the ground floor. The next day, after Ctrip helped me communicate with them, they moved me to the 4th floor, which had a good view. I had dinner at the hotel twice, and the food was pretty good. I recommend the steak. Breakfast was also nice :) I'd come back again if I have the chance.

WWuwenxidongdeyuerThe hotel has a great location; we arrived by train and it was just a short walk from the station. The hotel has a direct bus to Hallstatt, which is very convenient. The kitchen is fully equipped, perfect for those who prefer Chinese food, and the dishwasher is a great help after meals. The only thing to note is that there is no hairdryer in the room; please contact the front desk in advance to avoid discovering this after showering.

AAnonymous UserDisappointing stay at this hotel.
1. Thermostat not working within the room were the ambient temperature I guess was around 25 degrees.
As front desk to resolve and was advised that none of the thermostats within the hotel worked as it was centrally heated. Advise was to open the window...obviously the front desk rep would not have slept in this room with the window open to the traffic noise.
2. Paid room tax by cash upon arrival and requested receipt for expenses and was advised i would receive this at checkout. So at checkout I was then advised the hotel had emailed the receipt to me and as you can guess I never received.
Front desk then advised it was being resent and likewise never received.
To the manager...I will ensure a return visit to your hotel in the coming weeks and expect you to refund my 4.50 Euros!

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, right next to a church. It's also very convenient for getting to the train station and airport. It was quiet at night, and the breakfast was varied and delicious. The only downside is that the rooms are a bit small. Overall, the quality is very good. My only complaint is about the front desk staff. They made a mistake when calculating the bill, which delayed us for a full 10 minutes. I hope the hotel can provide better training for their front desk team. Despite that, it was a good stay overall.

AAnonymous UserGreat courtyard hotel with good size room which is hard to find in Linz. Wonderful breakfast buffet with bacon eggs hash browns etc so you can start the day on full stomach.
Many thanks to the front desk for their patience in helping a grumpy jetlagged travel....your assistance was greatly appreciated!
