Nefertiti Hotel Luxor

8.3/10
Very Good

The hotel boasts an excellent location, being a long-established local establishment next to temples and markets. The travel agency recommended by the hotel is reliable, and Luxor's office is also located within the hotel grounds. The chartered vehicles are easily identifiable by their company logo. The drivers are polite but still expect tips. (Tour prices are reasonable and don't overcharge.) The hotel restaurant is delicious. Overall, it's a decent hotel from Luxor. Cons: The rooms are small; the hot water is inconsistent; the towels smell of smoke, but this is common in Egyptian hotels.

Sorry this review is so late – I completely forgot to write it with all the wedding rush! But I really want to say a huge thank you to the hotel for giving us such a wonderful honeymoon experience. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay. To our surprise, you even prepared a delicious chocolate cake for us to celebrate our honeymoon – that was so thoughtful and made our trip even more special! A special shoutout to your amazing staff: Yassin was incredibly helpful and friendly, Abd Elnaby (who brought us the cake) was so warm and kind, and the lovely front desk girl with the long ponytail – she was absolutely charming and sweet. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. We also want to thank the housekeeping team who decorated our room so beautifully – it was such a romantic and lovely touch, and we really appreciated it! We're so grateful for your hospitality and will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family. Hope to come back again someday!

There was a computer issue so check in took longer than usual. Only stayed one night. The room was great. Very clean. Breakfast buffet was really good too. Location is great. Not a far walk to Luxor temple, the bazaar and restaurants. A great mini mart across the street with actual prices on items. The prices were better than buying at small shops. The guy at the front desk Mustafa was really amazing. He was so kind and helpful. I'd stay at Temple Hotel again.

Julie's Villa King's Island Luxor, nestled right on the Nile, offers breathtaking sunset views over the river while you dine. The swimming pool is massive and faces the Nile directly. The hotel boasts fantastic greenery and a great ecosystem, so you'll constantly hear birds chirping. However, the facilities are a bit dated, and the restaurant lacks variety in its dishes. I was incredibly lucky this time to stay in the same hotel as 'Divas Hit the Road,' even in villa 37! It was a truly wonderful experience. Definitely a high recommendation!

Every service staff is very nice, but it is really not recommended to live in the West Bank. The transportation here is very inconvenient. This homestay is in a desolate village. I was very scared on the way to the taxi. There was nothing around. I wanted to take a taxi to the port to take a boat, but no one took the order. I had to walk out. Many local villagers asked me along the way, but I didn't dare to talk to them. It was obviously different to take a boat to the East Bank. It was also very inconvenient to take a taxi back after the sun set at 5 o'clock. Many drivers were unwilling to cross the bridge and asked for a very high price. It is really not recommended to live in the West Bank. You need to go back very early, but in fact, the Nile River in Luxor is very lively at 11 o'clock at night

Great Location on the more quiet side of Luxor, The West Bank with a 2 min walk to the ferry crossing point. Only real issue was the dogs that reside outside had a barking match at 4am on night. Stayed for 2 nights, as it was Low season (start of summer) There was only one other guest in the hotel so I had the place to myself inc the swimming pool which was clean and refreshing to use after a day trekking around the local sights. The breakfast wasn’t great but understandable as they couldn’t do their full spread as there wasn’t enough guests to accommodate but it was adequate enough with Egg’s, bread, fruit with coffee and tea, I didnt get to check the rooftop restaurant as i didn’t want them to open due to its quietness, They did accommodate me with a beer on arrival and later by the pool. No Wifi in room but great by the pool area. Also the place a pretty dusty but everywhere in Egypt virtually was so this was not a problem, although the room was very clean with great air conditioning and view of the Nile. Would certainly stay again on my next visit, the locals were fantastic. There is currently construction in front of the hotel of a welcoming plaza for the ferry port which didn’t effect my stay/sleep but will be a wonderful addition once completed.would 100% recommend.

This is a decent, economically priced hotel. The key benefit of this hotel is its location - along the Nile corniche, and walking distance from the Luxor temple, Luxor museum, the ”souq” or tourist / souvenir market, and various shops and restaurants. Rooms are a little dated though very clean. There is also a pool, gym, and spa, all the modern creature comforts you need from a hotel (I did not use these facilities so cannot comment). Staff are generally friendly and ready to help. Breakfast is also very good - a very wide spread with hot foods (think hard boiled eggs, sausages, grilled tomatoes and the likes), a whole selection of pastries which were fresh, an egg station, salad bar, fruits, yoghurt etc. They even start breakfast at 5.30am for those who need an early start touring. No toothbrush/ toothpaste provided (this seems to be the norm in Egypt), no razor available even on request.

A budget hotel that wins points for its central location and amazing view of Luxor Temple. It's a perfect spot for accessing the Nile and local museums. The reception staff were friendly, though the overall organization was lacking. We were asked for our room number four times at breakfast because they didn't have us registered correctly. The food is simple, and it would be an improvement to offer two eggs per person. The room (416) had a couple of issues: a leaking sink pipe and a balcony door that wouldn't close properly. We asked to change rooms, but the other option was worse. For the price and location, it's fine for a single night, but don't expect a flawless stay.

The Hilton Luxor Resort and SPAwas one of the best hotels we have stayed .The satff is extremely attentive but not intrusive, the accomodations very much correct, the service without faults. We strongly recommend the restaurants and, and the pool which has an amazing view of the Nile and of the .mountains of the Valley of Kings. But particularly, do not skip the boat sailing trIp in the Nile at the sunset - a never forgetting experience that puts you in a book.of Agatha Christie or make you imagine how Somerset Maugham would had written about the Nile and it's people. A last but not least word of recognition of the sympathy and professionalism of the Operations Manager, Mme. H. Elshaikh and the G.M., Mr. F. Gruhl. P.J.Nascimento - Bárbara Mariana Maia

The hotel is located on the west bank of the Nile in Luxor, about a 300-meter walk from the public ferry terminal. The one-way crossing costs 20 Egyptian pounds per person. The triple room with river view includes a king-size bed and a single bed, and features a column. The room was clean, spacious, and had a balcony with Nile views. It was a great value and very satisfying.
