Brilliant hotel clean everything you need staff absolutely amazing defo stop again

DoubleTree by Hilton Sheffield City was exactly what I needed during my business trip. Comfortable, reliable, and quietly kind. From the moment I arrived, the check-in was smooth and welcoming, and that first warm cookie felt like a small but genuine gesture of care after a long journey. The location is convenient, close to the city centre yet peaceful enough to rest. It made moving between meetings and personal time easy, something I truly appreciated. The room was modern, clean, and quiet. The bed was comfortable, the lighting soft, and everything worked perfectly. It was not about luxury, but about thoughtful comfort that helps you recharge. Breakfast offered a good variety and the restaurant had a calm atmosphere that made mornings feel easy. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help without being intrusive. What stood out the most was the consistency. Every part of the stay felt dependable and well cared for. That sense of steadiness made it easy to relax and focus on the purpose of the trip. Nice clean hotel, spacious room, comfortable bed, everything you need. I had an issue with the radiator on the first night as it just wouldn't turn off, this was quickly sorted once I told a member of staff. On my last night I couldn't get into my room with the keycard, it was already gone midnight so I was tired and just wanted to go to sleep, It took 2 trip's to reception from the top floor before this was resolved which left me quite annoyed. On my last morning I paid for breakfast, It was a little disappointing, very basic selection on the continental side and the sausages were very poor quality and couldn't eat. There is however a Toby carvery across the road where I had breakfast the day before at a cheaper price, I would recommend going there instead

Really happy with the stay, we had a bit of an incident with a broken down car and my son arriving late to meet us, we asked if we could accomodate my son rather than him going to his shared accomadation. Reception couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was great, (especially the make your own waffles), rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Will definitely come back.

Very pleasant reception area Attractively furnished Good sized room with comfortable bed and good sized shower room too. Warm. Hanging space and shelves Hotel is very very dated Stairs rather tricky. No lift. 2 long windows with metal frames at the bottom one of which was disgustingly dirty. Fan in shower room not operating Guest numbers were low as it was a Sunday night so I managed to park outside on the road incurring no charge rather than having to pay £10 for the privilege of using the hotel car park I would stay there again if the cost is reasonable as the situation is ideal for me

Nice location for botanical gardens. Student style accommodation with fun decor, quirky games and games rooms. Useful kitchen, bonus pastry and coffee in the morning.

The place was nice, nice staff and decent accommodation for the price. We saw a few scary people and things outside and around the hotel that put us off but overall it was a good stay

Lovely room, lovely setting, good breakfast. Water in room would have been nice, but this is just a minor thing. For people who like tea and coffee there is plenty of choice!

The stay was okay, but the internet was a bit slow, and the room's heating was broken. They brought up a space heater, so the service was decent enough. My room wasn't cleaned during my three-night stay, they only emptied the trash. I guess labor in Europe is 'eco-friendly' like that.

The receptionists were lovely, very friendly & helpful. The room was a good size & the bed was really comfortable. There was only one bath & hand towel but an extra set was brought up straight away. The only negatives for me was the window was a solid pane so didn't open but the air con wasn't cool enough, and the pillows were uncomfortable.
