I really enjoyed my stay at VIA INN Nagoya Shinkansen-guchi! The location is excellent — it’s very close to Nagoya Station, just about a 10-minute walk away, so getting around the city is super convenient. There’s a Family Mart right downstairs and a Lawson within 3 minutes’ walk, which is very handy. The area also has plenty of great places to eat, including several ramen shops.
One pleasant surprise was discovering a huge Aeon supermarket just a 10-minute walk away — and it’s open 24 hours! Perfect for grabbing late-night snacks or doing some quick shopping.
The hotel itself is very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The room felt cozy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, it’s an excellent choice for both business and leisure travelers. Highly recommended! 🌟

We stayed again at this hotel for our last 3 nights in Nagoya. It is a 15 mins walk from Nagaoya station and there are plenty of food options and konbinis around. There is also a cinema located within the same building and there is an access to the basement walkway to the train station but do take note of the opening timing. The room was modern and clean with a large smart TV. We stayed on the 22nd floor and the view was fantastic this time compared to to the first stay during the start of the trip as the room was facing the castle and Alps. There’s is also a public bath on the 18th floor where the lobby was. It was small but decent with no view which was a pity. Overall a good place to stay if you intend to hit the surrounding areas for shopping and sightseeing in the city.

2nd time staying here. Love the toilet where the wet and dry concept applies with traditional Japanese sit and bathe. Also love it where the dressing table is inside. Surrounding loads of food available and best of all 6 mins walk to Nagoya main station.
The lift took a little longer but its fine. The staff also needed help via translator app to understand english but they did make sure we get all our enquiries and requests right so to me its not an issue. Klook tour pick up bus is 4 min walk away. Super convenient! Definitely my top choice of stay in Nagoya.

The staff's service attitude was excellent. For breakfast, they had chicken wings and Oden.
The room I chose this time had a separate bathroom and toilet, so the toilet wouldn't get wet when showering.
The hotel's location is superb, with a mall and restaurants downstairs. If you love shopping, you probably couldn't cover it all in one day. It's only a 45-minute drive from Nagashima Outlet (Anpanman, amusement park) and Legoland.
However, parking isn't included in the hotel fee, and it costs 2200 yen per day (as of January 2026).

firstly the location is not far from sakae station so it is very convenient, second the staff can understand english well so no problem in communicating, but you can not early check in before 3pm but can leave your luggages, and the amenities have all what you need they even provide pajamas daily
I was here for the Jishukan High School Jishusai festival and forgot my slippers, so I just wore the hotel's. My room had a direct view of Toyohashi Station platforms, but the soundproofing was excellent; I didn't hear any noise at all. The breakfast was quite extensive and very delicious. Not only did it have all the usual offerings, but also local specialties like Toyohashi curry udon and chikuwa (fish cakes), and there were even two different kinds of chikuwa! They were really tasty, and it meant I didn't have to go out and buy the now-pricier chikuwa. My only slight disappointment was that the curry udon was cold. Also, the entrance on the first floor that connects to the station was under renovation, and it wasn't as obvious, similar to the steps where Lao Ba eats takoyaki.
This hotel offers great value for money. Although it's a bit far from Nagoya Station, it's conveniently located right next to the Aonami Line, providing direct access to the subway. The hotel environment is excellent, and the views are unique. The rooms are quite spacious for Japan. The breakfast selection is also very rich, and the food tastes good. Overall, it's truly commendable! 👍

The triple room wasn't cramped at all, and the location was excellent, making it convenient for getting around and shopping. The bathroom was also quite satisfactory; it's not small for Japan. The only minor downsides were the lack of a wardrobe and a very small fridge.

Although the room size isn't huge, it's quite acceptable for a major city like Nagoya. Every day, after returning to the hotel, I could relax in the large public bath on the rooftop, which really helped to relieve the day's fatigue. Since I didn't use the room's bathroom, I put my suitcase in there, which effectively increased the usable space in the bedroom. Plus, the hotel provides DHC cosmetics for free, which is definitely a highlight. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Sakae commercial district, Oasis 21, and Nagoya TV Tower. Nagoya Castle is only about a 15-minute walk away. For dinner, if you turn right out of the hotel and walk for about 5 minutes, you'll find an underground shopping street beneath the Nagoya TV Tower with all sorts of restaurants and a food supermarket. There's also a convenient store right outside the hotel. While the breakfast selection isn't incredibly diverse, I particularly enjoyed the unagi don (eel rice bowl) and ramen. The staff were very enthusiastic. Choosing this hotel for my stay was definitely a smart decision.

The room was clean and bright, and it was only a 10-minute walk from Nagoya Station. Check-out at 11:00 AM was super convenient – just drop the room card into the machine. The self-service breakfast had freshly baked chicken wings and fried fish, vegetable salad, noodles, yogurt, and bread, all of which were quite tasty. There are many great restaurants nearby, and Nagoya Castle is just a 20-minute walk away.

AAnonymous UserThe location is absolutely superb. There's a tempura restaurant right downstairs, and a huge Aeon supermarket next door where you can find virtually anything you need. Kanayama Station is just across the road, offering convenient access to both subway and JR lines, plus general shopping options. It's also not far from the airport. Aside from the room being a bit small, the value for money is unbeatable.
JJoey7788The hotel is well located between Sakae and Hisaya-odori. Very close to everything. There are indeed a lot of pubs ad bars around but usually it is quite safe. The breakfast is okay, typical Japanese ”business hotel” style but it's a pity that natto was not available for a few days. If you skip room making for a day you should get a reward (points or snack) at check out but it was not offered to me at all. (Skipped multiple days). A bit upset about that.
VVinnie_OngRoom price includes breakfast, while the options are limited, the taste and quality is good. Love the curry and it's soft scrambled egg. Room size I booked is typical Japanese business hotel size, which is compact. Location is like 5-10 mins to Nagoya station, 5 mins to Aeon Mall, and 15 mins to Toyota Commemorative Museum (all in walking distance). Also they have supplementary coffee and soft drinks throughout the day at the breakfast hall until 11pm. You can heat up your food as there is a microwave there. A good hangout place with friends for night snack before hitting the bed.

GGuest UserThe facilities are brand new and spotlessly clean. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We also appreciated that children stay free of charge and breakfast is complimentary. The only minor downside is its distance from the subway station, which is about a 10-minute walk. However, a taxi ride is quite affordable, usually costing around 20-something RMB.

BBoon Hong PohThe location was fantastic, check in was quick and smooth. We left our luggage at the counter as we arrived early. We stayed on Level 9. Our room was a room at the end of the aisle with two single beds and an additional foldable bed added. However, the room was not properly cleaned. There was visible dust on the surfaces on the ledge of the bed above our heads. The small bedside table was also covered with dust. As my daughter and I both have allergic reactions, it was bad for our noses and much sneezing ensued. I am deeply disappointed as I have come to expect top level cleanliness from Japanese hotels and so far, I have never been disappointed. This was by far my worst stay in a Japanese hotel.
AAnonymous UserThe location is great! From the central exit of Nagoya Subway Station, turn right, go down two sets of stairs, and you'll find an elevator lobby. Take that elevator to the 1st floor, then switch to the elevator across from it to the 11th-floor lobby for check-in. I was relieved that my large suitcase could open and lay flat in the room, and there was also a full-length mirror. The cleanliness was excellent, with no strange odors. My room faced the street, but it wasn't noisy, and I could see the TV Tower across the way. Taking the elevator directly to the 3rd floor leads you to the bus station, which is very convenient for traveling to other cities. The only minor issue was that the Wi-Fi was unstable and would disconnect automatically.
MM502128****The hotel isn't far from the subway, but there's no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs, which could be an issue if your bags are heavy. It's located on the bustling Sakae shopping street, directly across from Matsuzakaya Mitsukoshi, and just a 10-minute walk from Osu Shopping Street. The hotel is relatively new, with spacious rooms and complete facilities, though they don't offer a common area for guests to relax and have coffee. The restaurant is good, with delicious seafood and meat.
AAnonymous UserGenerally speaking, Japanese hotels are quite clean, but the rooms are small and cramped for luggage. Those who are very particular about cleanliness should consider this hotel, as it does not offer housekeeping services regardless of the length of stay. Housekeeping costs 1000 yen per cleaning. We were only informed after two days of our stay by asking the front desk. Fortunately, we contacted Ctrip and they resolved the issue promptly, which is commendable. However, I hope the booking page will clearly state this information to customers in advance to avoid negative experiences.
