This is a huge garden-style hot spring hotel. Following the signs, you can even crawl through caves to discover the former residence of the Emperor…it's incredibly hidden!! I bet many people didn't even find it! Hahaha! I also experienced mixed-gender bathing, which was quite enjoyable. The beauty bath is great! There's a foot bath right at the entrance…and a free JR shuttle bus…Apart from the food being so-so, everything else was perfect!

Recommended for women and couples! Location: It is located in front of the station and is close to Izumo station from the window of the room. [Facilities] There are many amenities and almost everything you need. Hair dryers and hair irons are also available. The entrance, large communal bath, and rooms are clean and cute. [Customer service] Everyone smiled nicely and I was able to spend very comfortable. I want to use it again.

This hotel is a complete surprise. It's called Jiayun, what a nice name. I didn't have high hopes when I booked it. I saw that it was a 10-minute walk to Izumo Taisha Shrine, with one night for one person and two meals, and the price was right. When I arrived, I found that the whole hotel had been renovated. It is exquisite and tasteful, with perfect details. There are no fake flowers, and the flower arrangements are very clean. The service is even more enthusiastic and proactive. They have the ability to receive foreigners. The staff who sent me to the room and served dinner provided Japanese service without any discounts. They used a translator to translate every sentence. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable. There is a hot spring cypress bathing pool. Now the hot springs with the words ”loan kiri” are all free. There is delicious ramen at 10 pm. The meal is very good at this price. There is no pick-up service. Take the bus from Izumo Station to Izumo Taisha Shrine at 2:30 pm for 30 minutes. Apple navigation is very accurate. Now I am in Jia Suiyuan Minami in Tamatsukuri Onsen. It is too old. Although the price is higher and the reputation is greater, it is completely inferior to Jiayun. It still needs a renovated hotel

Matsue Excel Hotel Tokyu was our 5th hotel in this journey, and honestly, it set the bar pretty high. The location was hard to beat — right opposite Matsue Station, and it could be easily reached through an underpass, which was especially helpful when travelling with big luggage or during bad weather. One big surprise for us was the check-in experience. We arrived at the hotel at around 11.30am, fully expecting to leave our luggage and return later, but we were told that our room was already ready and we could occupy it immediately instead of waiting until the usual 3pm check-in time. It also seemed that they upgraded our booking to a Standard Double Room, which made the experience even better. Two thumbs up for this hotel. Even though we had booked a Standard Single Room, the space genuinely surprised us. The room came with a queen bed and was more than comfortable for two of us. We were able to fully open our large suitcases without feeling cramped — something that is not always guaranteed in Japanese hotels. The room layout was practical and well thought out, with a proper TV console and work desk with a chair, a single sofa with a small table, an air purifier, and a fridge. The TV model was a bit outdated, though it did not affect our stay. The bathroom was also spacious, with a proper bathtub that allowed us to stretch our legs comfortably after long days out. The bed was very comfy, and they provided two pillows for each of us, which made our sleep even better. Amenities and bottled water were provided at the lobby area, which we found convenient. We paid around SGD159 (JPY19,000) for two nights, and it was excellent value. Overall, it was one of the best hotels in this journey, and we would gladly stay here again.

Price performance is great, good location, low price with breakfast and dinner, room is big. BUT, a big but is hotel is very old , like in the 80s, very dark in the building like ghost will come out. Furthermore , NO wifi! This is probably the style of this group hotel. I stayed in other hotel of universal, some better some worse. I will still recommend it

It's far from the station, but thanks to it, I was able to see every corner of the neighborhood From a delicious croquette restaurant to a friendly monjayaki restaurant It was a happy trip! The hotel is very new. We stayed in a lake view bungalow (two beds + tatami mats). It was a bit crowded for four people, but the floor-to-ceiling windows and the view of Lake Shinji made it worth full marks! The lobby on the first floor of the hotel is large, very new, and full of sunshine, but you don't often encounter service staff. You need to take the trolley yourself and return your luggage to the designated location on the first floor. The architectural design is a bit strange in that there is no door, but a small The main entrance, as well as two side entrances. It was a bit difficult to find the entrance at first. It is strange that guests need to pay for parking (500 yen per day, the ticket must be presented to the counter for magnetization) The public bath on the top floor is good, the facilities are very new, the space is large, the view is good, and the temperature is moderate. We like the casual clothes provided in the room (not a yukata, just a black top + pants), which can be worn to bathe or sleep in It is comfortable, but it cannot be worn in the public areas on the first floor and the restaurant on the second floor. We stayed during the Christmas period. There was only a buffet restaurant to choose from. The breakfast was very good. The menu options were not very large but the dishes were exquisite and delicious. It should be noted that there are very few restaurants around the hotel. If you stay here, you don’t want to eat expensive food on the second floor. Buffet restaurant, it is best to finish your meal during the trip and then return to the hotel.

A nice hot spring hotel. There is a bar in the hotel which is open until 2400. It is refreshing to have two drinks after taking a hot spring bath. Breakfast and dinner are buffet style, with Japanese, Western and desserts, as well as local Shimane specialties. You can also purchase additional wines, so you can try Japanese sake from different wineries in the Shimane area at once.

It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to walk to Izumo Taisha Shrine. Separated from Jiayun by a wall, there are residential buildings nearby and a convenience store diagonally across the road. The most convenient way to get to the station is the bus, but the frequency is infrequent. If you don't take the bus, you can walk 20 minutes to the tram stop on the commercial street. The facilities are very good and new. There are several hot springs. Except for private baths that have to wait, there are not many people bathing in public baths and they are very clean. The children eat several of the unlimited free ice cream every day. The soy sauce ramen served from 10 to 11 pm is very lively with people coming and going, so it is suitable to have a bowl before going to bed after soaking in the soup. There is a coffee machine on the first floor and hand-ground coffee in the room. There are no facilities around except convenience stores at night, and most of the restaurants in front of Izumo Taisha Shrine close at four or five o'clock. In addition to bathing in the hot springs, you can take a walk to the woods in front of Izumo Taisha Shrine in the evening. There are several small green frogs in the wash basin at the entrance of the Taisha Shrine.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is located near Matsue station. The front desk agents were very polite and did their best to talk to me, despite my very broken Japanese. Guests are given a locker, protected by a keycard. The locker itself was good enough for me, who took only a conventional backpack and a pair of shoes, but might not be enough for those who are not traveling light like that. The bathrooms were shared and quite clean, fully furnished with amenities for showers and personal hygiene. WiFi was included and it was quite decent for general use, even when inside the shared bedroom. The bed capsule had a pillow and a blanket, lights and power outlets for phones. I had more space than I imagined, enough for me to sit on the bed. The only downside of this room type was air circulation, probably due to the hot climate that's been the standard here in Japan lately, but I think the fans could work more efficiently or the capsules could use an AC outlet. Other than that, I recommend this location and will certainly stay with them again.

GGuest UserNicely situated in the centre of one of the two main streets in Yunotsu. I stayed in the bottom capsule which is much more spacious than the top capsule since you get space to put your belongings. Kitchen was equipped with basic condiments like soy sauce and cooking oil. There is a coin laundry facility in the adjoining building - 500 yen for wash and 100 yen per 10 mins of drying. The only concern I had was with the check in process, which luckily for me I was informed about before by reading the reviews. Check in is at Kazeto, another hotel around 5 mins walk away from Watowa. This can be troublesome for guests arriving by foot as you’ll need to backtrack to Kazeto if mistakenly arriving at Watowa first. Staff at check in were helpful and friendly (English speaking) and provided ample information about the facilities and attractions in Yunotsu and surrounds.

YYolkieThis hotel is truly amazing! I appreciate a lot on: - warm and friendly staff who could not speak much English but were very nice to explain to me the details of the hotel - gorgeous garden where you could take a seat and enjoy the view - free Japanese alcohol at 1500-1800 (soft drinks until 2100) - impressive free Japanese cultural performance at 2110 - quick and positive response despite I made several urgent requests due to sudden plan change - free shuttle bus service between JR station and hotel if you approached front desk for information - the environment of the public bath was quite clean - totally different food combination in dinner for 2 nights Considering the price I paid for such service, I would say the quality is definitely beyond my expectation. :) Thank you every hotel staff who made my experience a better stay!!

RREI YSIt’s really a very good hotel. I didn’t expect anything from Shimagen, but from the beginning of landing at Izumo Airport, all the way to the hotel, I met very warm and friendly people. The staff of the bridge management were very enthusiastic and responsible. The design and facilities of the hotel can be said that I have lived in the top three in all Japanese hotels. The design is obviously very attentive, convenient and practical, not fancy, simple and generous, and the room is really clean. The hotel is on the right hand side of the station and the traffic is convenient. The reception staff at the front desk were not only enthusiastic and patient, but also specially printed the Chinese version of the hotel guide, moved, great praise! ! !

啤梨mamiAs the room rate is cheaper than the surrounding hotels, so as to book. Arrived to find a hotel with a period, the receptionist in the evening was very friendly and enthusiastic, and the friendly smile was very patient to introduce the facilities in the store. When we entered the room, we had placed the tatami bedding for us. Although the facilities are slightly old, but the items and facilities are hygienic and tidy. Everyone sleeps very comfortably and the room is air-conditioned! And the large bath is in good size, an open-air bath, it must be good in winter, and you must come to soak and relax for two nights! The parking fee is only 300yen a night, very reasonable! 🙏 Very suitable for families!

出差者It was a great experience, very much like a budget Japanese inn, with tatami floors throughout the building, a natural hot spring on the rooftop where you can soak in the hot spring and watch the stars and the night view, free massage chairs that were great, and a variety of free food. The last entry for breakfast is at 9:00, so remember to get up early for breakfast. You need to queue up to enter at 7:00 on Saturday morning. I like the homemade seafood bowl and all-you-can-eat crabs the most. Every dish is very Japanese and the fruits are very sweet. The hotel is affordable and I would like to stay in the same group of hotels again if I have the chance.

I loved the delicious ramen served in the evening, the relaxing onsen, the peaceful atmosphere, the impeccable cleanliness, and all the extra services included. The location is also very convenient, just next to the station. I would have loved to stay more nights, but unfortunately, there was no availability. I really hope to come back!
